  1. hi all, I've bought some curtains from ikea recently and realised that those I bought doesnt have the tie back..anyone noes where I can buy the seperate tie back or if ikea sells them as well? Coz would be impossible to get a matching one from outside..the design I bought was one of those very colorful one...

Hi folks..im sure you have heard that many schools of thoughts about fengshui..some said it is purely science and nothing to do with religion but others include rituals or things they place in the house which looks quite religious to me.. (like those frog with coin in mouth..sorry but not quite sure what do you call them?) I am a Christian and we just got a house..things hasn't gone quite well for my partner from almost the start of the year..he has lost 2 jobs and now still searching for a job...we have not moved into the house and we don't intend to do much reno to the house..only reno the MBR toilet and change the fixture in the common toilet..friends have asked us to engage a fengshui master to see our house and see if that can improve..though I am tempted to try..i don't really want to place objects in the house that might seem too "religious" things like a simple water feature is ok.. What do you all think? Anyone who is christian but practises fengshui? Care to share? And what is the average cost if i get a geomancer to see my house? Thanks loads!

  8. wah one direction means one element? so what does each represent? If i am not wrong, the balcony is north, entrance is west, the sofa can be placed the same alignment as the door which is west, or directly opposite, which is east. So should be ok?

  10. We can live with the current flooring and wall, we would probably be looking to change at least the sink and toilet bowl, is it possible to do that without affecting the wall and floor? No $ to hack sia...also, to add shower screen to seperate the shower area, would it affect the wall and floor and roughly how much would that cost? And how about glass toilet door vs very average normal door? Thanks in advance!

  12. I read somewhere that red sofa is no good, because red is fire element and not every corner of the house is suitable to have fire element there, will bring work pressure and stuff... is this true?
  13. You mean they can track and find out who the unit has been sold to after the agreement ends? I thought only can check on HDB resale transaction website but it doesn't state which unit and definitely not who it has been sold to. Unless they have other database to track such information then I am not too sure. Say for eg, if it is a buyer whom the co-broke agent has brought, came to view the house, but did not make any offer. After 3 months, the same buyer happens to see my ad which I post since now I am selling it myself, come and view the house, then decided to offer me, I accept, I believe this does not consitute to "closing under similar conditions as per negotiated together with the agent" since nothing was negotiated previously together with the agent?
  14. thats the thing you see, it wasn't stated on the contract, the agent didn't tell me, only when i enquired with the agency about termination, then they flash this T&C to me which I have never signed at all! How can they just slap something new into my face like that? goodness..wonder what kind of fair business conduct and ethics this is..and it is not even some small agency, it is one of the biggest one around.. sigh.. anyone else has some experience to share? I checked with the agency on how to terminate after the agreement expires in 3 months, sellers do beware, some agencies have clauses that say that if you do not write in even after your agreement expires, they still have the right to market for you and you are still binded to them. That's when the agency flash me this T&C which I didn't sign. I didn't have the time to read through thoroughly and they refuse to give me a copy.
  15. Hi all sellers, Have anyone ever had this experience when dealing with your property agency? They claim that if you sell your flat on your own within 90 days after your exclusive agreement ends, you are still liable to pay them 2% commission? The same goes if I terminate them before my agreement ends. I wasn't showed any of these clause when I signed the exclusive agreement so I am shocked to hear this from the agency now that my agreement is expiring and I am thinking of marketing my own unit. I personally feel this is not fair to the seller. Would appreciate if anyone here has such experience to share or any experts here know if the agency can make such claims on the sellers, please do advise. Thanks!!
