hehe.. altho during and after reno period can be very tiring.. but u will enjoy the process cuz u can see ur house like lego being build up slowly and ta da! ur dream house is done. That feeling is exciting.. hehe..

Hi roseberry.. i think its becuz they juz laid the parquet and haven varnish yet. Thats the raw color of the wood.. after varnishing, should be same already..

Actually if there are really alot of defects, u can always tell the id and ask them do nice nice back for u one. As for those redo stuffs, at least they got redo for u ma. Or maybe ur id haven really finish touching up yet? Maybe u discuss with him/her first? So far my id also tell me wat we see not gd can always tell him and he will ask his workers to do nice nice back for us. For designer they sure help u one cuz like wat weiht says, they will also scared it affects their referral business.. Anyway since u haven made ur last payment, tell ur id abt the defects and maybe made payment after all the defects are done? =)

Hi shutiao, as wat jacky777 says.. a standard premium package for 5 room is around 8k to 12k already. So 12k for total reno can be a little tight. Y dun u consult raven? u know her? she stays at our block one.. she did her reno at 11k. Me and hubby been to her house. And she had a bomb shelter feature wall, false ceilings done and even a settee at her LR window. Maybe u can try asking her?
