Corner stall on e rite near to blk 66 & e 4 sty shophses. - prata kosong = $0.70 - prata w egg = $1.30 - nasi goreng w ikan billis = $3.00 - ... - e curry is reasonably gd. It wld b better if it cld b more spicier. - e prata is reasonably nice. Crispy on e outside, creamy on e inside. It cld b better if each dough is much bigger. - but if 'takeaway', it wont b s crispy s eating there, due 2 packing, no 'airing'. - nevertheless, e madam & her daughter is polite. - had been going bak 4 more after e 1st ... Wah! You got all facts man... but there something most din noe - they make their own dough, not those mass production one. maybe that's why they are small. Hehe.... I have them every SUN when I visit my mum... hehe..

  5. Hi, I have check with my ID and she mention that we can get those guys from HDBay to perform an audit / assessment on the reno done. Should give us more "power" to demand the contractor to redo some of the stuff. Cost a few hundred bucks for the audit I think. Check out this site :- http://www.hbay.com.sg/

  9. Something like what u've experience. Sign with ID in late Oct, HDB permit due to ding donging with PE and HDB on approved hacking in Early Dec and tiling start mid Dec and end late Jan. Tahn CNY and carpentry begin in MArch cos me and ID cannot decide on MBr Wardrobe due to complicate design, talk and talk and explore for quite awhile to resolve technical problem. Than at the same time, kitchen do wrongly and have to redo the entire module. This dragged thill now where they finally complte all the wardrobe for all Brm. Now touching up and get a big shock yesterday. The Bomb Shelter done wrongly, a few inches shorter and got to redo the entire module again. will take another 2 to 3 weeks. Sigh! Other than this, I do not have much problem with my ID and carpentry workmanship. ID see something wrong - redo. That's their policy. so not much stress on me in term of non-compliance. Carpentry work was OK and were very willing to do some extra stuff upon my request, hence no complaint. As for defects, major and minor, they have rectify it every time I point out to them, hence can't remember what I have. Maybe you can drop by next SAt when the Bar Counter is up so we can share your experience, dig out all defects that I have missed and give me some ideas / area for improvement so that I can get back to my ID before the final payment .... hehehe...
  10. Haiz..... told ID will need to move in only after Qing Ming and they literally COMPLETE AFTER QING MING! Took 6 months to reno ?! Anyway, will be moving in slowly this weekend as there's still touch up to be done. Very simple reno, so a bit pai seh to open house le... but feel free to drop by as I'm around most weekend. And to Tension Z if you're reading this tread, you are not the only one whose reno took 1/2 a year.

  12. Hi Meowie, You may wanna check with TC if this is within their term contract. I got my $50 back when they charge me $1150 for haulage cos of my granite floor. Went to TC and they immediately call them to return the $50.

Hi all neighbours, For those who lay granite and marble, the haulage / sand guys actually requested for $50 extra on top of the stated $900 / $1100, you can actually request them to return the $$$. Apparently this is a practice but NOT in the contract for block 79 projects. I just got my $50 back. Also, for those who did not tiled up the entire house, seems like you can negociate with them as you do not need that much sand. Need not pay the stipulate $900 / $1100. For those who have yet to do their reno, you may want to get your id to nego or check with TC.
  15. Though this was an "industry practice", you can request your own term. I have requested mine to be :- 10% upon confirmation 20% upon commencement of wet work 20% upon completion of wet work 20% upon commencement of carpentry 20% upon completion of carpentry 10% upon satisfactory handover
  16. it may be. dec and jan bill may just be an estimate where they took reference from the previous month. it was quite impossible to have only a few dollar on our bill during reno month. they may have just sent someone to read the actual meter reading and recon back the diff. i use to keep track of the how often they do this at my parent's place. Seems like they read the meter on alternate month. the other months, they gave us an estimates.

Hi TPYL06, the PEis a bit high. mine is $400. blk 79 do not have a designated hackers. my id got their hacker costing around $500 to hack off walls between mbr and 2nd bdrm + a bit between 2nd bdrm and 3rd bdrm + a bit between 3rd bdrm and the living rm. as for haulage, it's a fix charge by HDB depending on the flate type. mine is 5 rm, so its $1100, pay direct to the haulage company designated by HDB. not my id.
  18. Just hear fr the fsm. I'm also confused. Apparently, they look at your main door's facing. All my window may be facing HDB hub (South) but it was a north facing according to them as my main door is facing the other direction. Think electricity and water has already been turned on when we apply. Just need to "on" the main tap of the water outside your unit with the "gadget" HDB gave you. This is more for the reno purpose. We have not turn on the gas though as we have yet to move in.
  19. Hi Redwyrm, There's a bicycle shop at the blk opps blk 69 (not too sure of the blk no..... should be 71 or 72). could get the bicycle chain there. NTUC sell some decent lock some time ago but not sure if they do now. You can check them out.
  20. Hi all neighbours, have not been reading this thread for a while. Looks like quite a fair share of you are ready to move in. Congrates! Surprise that blk A have yet to receive key.... may be a blessing cos you probably be paying un-necessary $$$ for TC and other charges if you collect keys now. Most ID will be stopping work soon and will not start till end Feb (after 15th). May be better to get them after CNY. Sorry to hear that some of you have frustration with you ID. Made me realised that we were fortunate to get one that were very patient and as always avaiable to address our design concerns! We've been changing my design ever since we sign on the so call confirmed 3D drawing. Think it was their policy to bring in the wetwork, carpentry, lighting and plumbing guys in to discuss at various stage, rework and more rework. All are really friendly and gave very good advises. was really surprise to read Alister's problem. Really have to say a big THANK YOU to Yan and her team for being so professional, patient and understanding! Think we've taken that for granted ! We too got a qoute from C******. Was not comfortable as the guy who serve me looks so Beng / Seng, just like those across the road but charging quite apremium. Thank God I drop them! Was amazed with their cockiness.... Maybe Krisma should just drop them. There are many good one available if you are willing to pay a premium. C****** is not worth gamble.
