  2. Dont get tempted by the cheapest quote, especially not detailed quote. ID, contractors that doesnt state the dimensions are usually trying to play punk or cut corners. Many owners also love to go to non HDB registered firms and no GST company. it really speak alot about the company that open many sub firms to invade GST. when they close non GST firms, your reno n warranty all gone even their main branch is still around. those firms that really are no GST means either they are very very new in the market or business no good. cant be 1 year cannot hit 1mil for reno.. fishy. So owners, pls beware, dont because of 7% gst or cheap reno and get lured into pirate ships..

  4. hmm that piece of darker tiles or yellowish tiles is kinda an eyesore, maybe can ask tiler to remove it and choose another almost same shade of tiles, since there should have balance of tiles left.
  5. your ID seems not too experienced in alteration of works. kitchen area, cannot have opening, can hack but need to build back wall, meaning MBR become bigger, eating into your kitchen hacked area. Bathroom can hack, subjected to approval though, max can extend not more than 60cm
  6. most likely thinner or turpentine or some chemical aicd that spilled over and left it for days. the natural stone absorb the chemical and have reaction and caused the stain

  8. usually owners will try to start before the 7th month begins and then just carry on the reno works during that month. If it doesnt permits, some owners believe just dont start work on the 1st, 15th, 30th of that month.. not sure of reason. mostly are more superstitious in shifting / moving in during 7th month though.

  10. bedroom okay to box up AC trunking. but toilet better dont for 'just in case'
  11. usually first meet up will be getting to know each other and ideas sharing and understanding your needs and requirements. the 2nd meet up will be fine tune some designs, items and so as well as presenting estimated quote and going thru w owners. For me, 2nd-3rd meet up i'll do up a visual sketch of the house to let owners able to visualise.
  12. Hi all.. future 2room bto owner (hopefully). anyone under Feb 2017 intake for Punggol ? My appointment on Sept, hopefully theres available units left by then..any updates on this intake? Any 2room owners who have collected keys or soon to be? I am an ID too, hoping to help fellow 2 room bto owners on their reno and budget..
