  1. Hi, Just to share, I had mine a few years back (cannot remember liao, like in Y2006).... with Carlton Hotel. Fortunately, I got break-even (no loss, no gain).... That was including the Ang Bao money from those tables allocated to my wife's relatives & friends..... I took all the Any Bao money to cover for the bills.... So, not sure when you guys say gain/loss means include or exclude the Ang Bao money from those tables allocated to your partner's relatives & friends.... I also went all the way to JB to take my wedding photos with Memory Wedding.... Overall saved 50% of the cost compared to Singapore.
  2. hi, i have been using power dekor laminate flooring, since 4 years (coming to 5)..... so far so good, no regret.... cheers.
  3. Hi guys, I need some recommeded ID or contractor who can help me in some upgrading renovation works as follow : 1) Install aluminium window grills for the whole 5-rm unit (approx. 145 sq.ft in total). 2) Install sliding door for my kitchen entrance (approx. 1.80m x 2.16m). 3) Hack & replay foyer area with homogeneous tiles (approx. 1.38m x 2.44m). Appreciate your recommendations and thanks in advance. **If you are an ID or contractor who interested to carry out the above services, please do PM me preferably with an estimated price. Cheers. EPL

  6. hi, just to share, i engaged airecontrol for servicing my system 3 aircons. it costs $180.00 for tri-yearly for 3 units. so, overall it is about $20.00 per unit/service only. i also did the chemical washing for the compressor which they charged $80.00 and top-up gas at $24.00 service is quite normal, like natural cool (i tried them once). cheers
  7. ya, i have been staying JW quite some time liao.... Reno. also done quite some time, guessed 2 years back.... during the reno., my foyer area was not been done up properly. my design is tiles & black small little stones around it (pepple stone or stone wash, can't remember liao).... since then, the stones start to drop out bit by bit.... i thought of waiting it to become "bo tak" then redo it. but now, my liitle prince has arrived, so i thinking of better do it now. i scare he will pick the little stone and swallow it.... at the same time, i also need to do some other reno. like window grills, kitchen door (initial design is opened concept; oily) plus my foyer area loh.... cheers.

  15. i held mine at Carlton Hotel last oct '06. their services were really good my wife & i are really satisfied with the coordinator (Mr. Alan) and the manager (Mr. Jason). they are pro.... best things to highlight : - i got upgrade to a really big suite room by the coordinator. the suite room got 1 living hall, 1 dining hall, 1 bed room, 2 toilets and walkways etc.... almost as big as my house (5 rm unit). - the next day after settling the bills on the actual day, i actually noticed i got a further discount of $100 per table. haha.... - i got almost 10 free dining vouchers to dine at their cafe. i used that to treat my kakis who support on my wedding. - during the wedding dinner itself, this coordinator is really good. he will follow me all the way throughout like a bodyguard. so, whoever wants to play me (make me drink), he will usually protect me by asking me to go somewhere else.... then these people usually must give chance as they think there will be something more urgent for me to attend. haha....
  16. ya, you are rite, Zavey.... one of my frds who bought Sealy mattress told me that now he can actually feel the sagging of the forms.... hence, finally i made up my mind to go for simmons glendale. however, it is not so "heavenly" as what mentioned by Air lah. i should say it is very comfortable to sleep on it every night..... well, Silverx2c, just to share my experience with you since Jan '07 i was also planning to invest on mattress, i was stuck between Sealy Luxembourg & Simmons Glendale. after some serious thoughts, i go for simmons glendale. reasons being : 1. simmons is reputable. sealy also good but i still prefer simmons loh. 2. sealy comfort & plush feeling is all becos' of many many layer of foams.... and these foams will definitely sag after years, compare to pocketed springs like simmons. so, it is whether you want to invest your money in comfort but less reliablility, or comfort with more reliability? 3. if you really want something comfort & plush (same as my taste), perhaps you should try Kingcoil Heavenly series mattress. these mattress is really no words to mention, but prices also same lah. the cheapest is $3k plus.....
  17. panasonic recently launched a new model, TZ-3 priced at $699. But, you can get it cheaper around $599 at Alan Photo & MS Color.... not bad, got 10x optical zoom, 28mm wide angle, ISO stabilizer etc etc...
  18. there's a thread on water heater earlier.... perhaps you can find some clues.
  19. Panasonic FX50 with large 3" LCD screen, 28mm wide angle etc canon also good
  20. Mine is Joven 810 model. Ya, same problem as yours.... Hot for 2 ~ 3 secs, then become no hot liao , unless I adjust the pressure valve to less pressure, then the water slightly turn hoter..... My friend who is using Joven 910 model also face the same problem..... I think this is Joven problem. My advise, dun go for Joven.
  21. dun worry lah.... if not safe, they also won't develop JW mah....
  22. my neighbour staying at the 6th floor just sold their 5rm unit at 280k, i guess.... hopefully after the park, mrt etc is ready, the price can shoot further up. hee hee.... so so loh.... how about you then?
  23. co'zy expensive or not??? like most people say in this forum, buying a mattress depends a lot on your own comfort preference loh.... but, it is good to do some research 1st before making a decision. mattress is not cheap leh. my advise will be definitely simmons. i bought my simmons beautyrest glendale on Jan '07 from ackerman & smith. until now, i dun have my usual backache in the morning anymore. every nite i am able to sleep well on it. even my wife says it is 1st, reliable brand. 2nd, many good feebacks from customers, forums etc. 3rd, good investment if you want to buy something that worth the price and last long. 4th, service is good. 5th, really comfort. cheers side-track abit..... anybody got any recommendation for pillows? i got 2 pieces of simmons deep sleep pillows, but they are 'too low' for me. anybody interested in deep sleep pillows?
