  1. Applefreak, it's alright no need paiseh. Everyone's busy
  2. Can u take a photo of ur 60" fan switched off please?
  3. Oh so this is the aroma too?! I actually had my eyes on this exact model (wooden blades) a few weeks back. Saw it at Hong Tar for $320 or $328 can't rem. Giant retails this for $368. Didn't expect it to be the exact model in hanni's pictures (the white model). No wonder I see already I go Hanni, I'm now left with ceiling fan purchase still outstanding. Maybe I'll go take a look at the 60" that applefreak bought.
  4. hi hanni06, i like your aroma 54". Very simple and elegant but it's quite ex huh !!
  5. wah the neighbourhood isn't fully occupied but the carpark attendants are so on-the-ball liao... !!
  6. I finally got my tv. One word on the pq - fantastic! Watching channel 5 SD was already very good. HD5 made it better. And because it's a plasma instead of LCD, the fast movement of pple left no ghosts. !! My only gripe, if only I had bought the 50" one !!
  7. Wah I was quoted $250 for the above fan. Too ex for one without lights. Anyone can recommend a shop that sells fans at competitive prices?
  8. U can use the toilet stain remover (brown bottle white cap) which can be found in the supermarkets or the "closing down sale" shops. Costs around $1 - $1.50. Apply on the tiles and use a sponge scrub (something like those scotchbrite type but get the cheapo ones instead). I've used it on the living room tiles too. I clean in circular motion. If u use it on the living room tiles, rem to wipe off with a damp cloth after cleaning because that solution is quite strong. I dunno what will happen if never wipe off after cleaning though. As for toilet tiles, just wash off with water after cleaning. Hope that helps.
  9. Is the ticking sound intermittent? It could be contractions due to temperature changes but I don't experience that in my parent's home (parquet rooms).
  10. No problem. Try making the complaint to the HDB officer at HDB (not BSC). The tel number can be found in the online defect submission form. At least the HDB people are better trained to handle such complaints.
  11. I had footprints in my MBR too. At the toilet entrance. Crap right? So they revarnished it once for me but I still could see the footprints and made another complaint. After that, I checked and saw the footprints have become less visible. If I'm not wrong, they did not revarnish it but spot-polish the footprint area. And my wife was fine with the results so we accepted it.
  12. Haha, usually when I pekcek with shopping I'll also just point at the item I want, bargain abit and take it.
  13. I'm also looking at Amasco fan, 56" without lights AFH-80. Saw from catalog. Anyone bought this? Would like to know the power of this fan
  14. Oops, mistook that for auto-on. Thanks for the info. This is my first time using storage heater so abit suaku
  15. whao 60"! 56" already quite strong. May I know what's the model? The other day I was at the fanco shop, the 56" was already $180.
  16. Hi alexter, can post the pic and price of the heater time when u've got it please? I'm interested in fixing that too. Would like to auto switch-on the heater so can have nice warm shower immediately after waking up. Thanks!
  17. I noticed that the grout material used is different from those that I've seen on other types of flooring (ceramic, granite). Maybe because the tiles are white so the grout material used to match the tiles is of a certain make (white) and is bound to turn off-white after a certain period of time.
  18. Oh u actually 'upgraded' to 600x600.. so it made sense liao
  19. Hi kiki. I had the same question as zen2008; u mean u paid them to re-tile your living room? IIRC, I read that u managed to get them to hack off all your living room tiles and I thought it was FOC.
  20. Ok i understand your point. I hope HDB will give us owners a satisfactory answer regarding the flooring.
  21. At this stage, I don't think lodging a complaint is going to help since the flats are already built and HDB has opened it up for sale. But at least the contractor incharged of the project may get blacklisted
  22. Yes I noticed that when they replaced some of my tiles, the internals were evenly flat cement. It didn't cross my mind that something was amissed. But then if there's no cement, how were the tiles laid? I had taken some photos of the empty slots after the removed my faulty tiles but had deleted them after the tiles were replaced!
  23. I'm curious to see the difference between the Indo and Burmese parquet. It's up to you to decide if u want to change it because they tend to give excuses to deter you from replacing the items. Just like my living room tiles, the replacement tiles they showed me were supposed to be matt and of a lighter tone. Ended up the replaced tiles looked exactly like the current tiles. I had expected the tiles to be different but the end product came as a surprise. Hopefully they will replace the same parquet tiles for ur BR1 and 2.
  24. After dropping the idea of buying the topload samsung WA11UP, I'm narrowing my choices to these 2 front-load washing machines. RPM is 800 which I think is reasonable. I hope owners of the washing machines can share their experience!
  25. Here. I agak agak draw 2 ideas that was proposed to me. could only draw 2 because now office hours. wait tio
