had a quick looked at the website, the one they are selling is running on gas. Will have to go down and see if they have more. one more place you may want to check them out, Natural Living, they are selling furniture but do have quite a large range of portable BBQ pits. I at times like the charcoal smell of my meat so, a dual cooking mode will be more versatile. Over the years, i have also acquired a strange behaviour of eating my beef plain (without all the seasoning or marination), this gives me the perfect taste for my buds and keep my seasoning separate on the side if i need to use it at some pt. Try it, you may like that!! i think the expat forum he is refering to could be this one below, http://www.expatsingapore.com/forum/ cannot say you will find GEM here but no harm squating and look and see.

normal scheduled train is not the killer here, wait till you get one of those repair train that comes along in some un-godly hours and grind the metal track.........can drive you up the wall and break any sleep. NEA does not care or they will entertain you for a few emails and then they will come back and claim that they are within allowable limit set by the government. Either you move away, live it it or shut the windows at all times. Not much of a choice actually. -
I saw quite a few as i am also searching for one. I read somewhere that there is a shop in Tanjong Katong that sells one of the better one. In addition, i have seen a shop at Jelita/cold storage and also Serene Center that specialises in BBQ stuff which also carries the portable BBQ pits. I have still not found that one i am looking for, if you come across one that can switch between charcoal and gas, PM me. Thanks

15Amp, when you buy the oven they will tell you what you need to tell your electrician. On thing i am not certain if it is related, sometimes your main will trip when you switch on your oven, could be the loading.

I dealt with Peter in FM, he is very knowledgable and pleasant to work with. In a lot of cases, these bad apples are just not cut out for sales. Since you have bought KG ultimately in IMM, good for you, i think you will like it and enjoy it for moons to come. I spend a lot of time on the sofa especially afterwork with my family and i just wants to have a good set.

Bad Customer Service - Howard Storage World (hbf)
wuga98 replied to weevenge's topic in Home Furnishings
As i have no idea how the conversation went, but i support you on the premise that this is not the way a CS of any company should behave; challenging customer, using unnecessary words in conversation/statements to the customer. -
Bad Customer Service - Howard Storage World (hbf)
wuga98 replied to weevenge's topic in Home Furnishings
This got to be the most ridiculous support statement i heard this morning. Irregardless of who is right or wrong, sincere or even insincere, no CS shd talk or behave that way. HSW is a reputated and big company, not your regular geyland roadside store. Customer is ALWAYS King even how you dislike it. Feedback/comments a more positive word than complain, is always fill with some form of fustration and emotion, don't add oil to it. Diffuse it!!. I saw a recent program that talks about saying "sorry" and how this small word can help calm and diffuse a lot of frustration and move the conversation to a little more productive level where issue can be resolve. That's what the customer wants, not calling you after purchase and find fault. Positive attitude and mannerism got to be basic, you wear your company uniform or logo on your chest and behave like "samseng". Somemore a reputated company like HSW. If this guy "kiat" works for me, he will be warn and if no improvement is made after explaining to him the basics, he will be asked to leave. In CS, if you cannot handle all sh*t thrown at you from customer, then this is not your cup of tea. Keeping you will only mean 2 things, you get frustrated and the other is that the company will never have returning customers. my passionate 2 cents -
i do have a maid, as we are a small family, we may not use part of the house and we may not need to clean it as often.

george: i have attached 3 pics of the koi pond, it is incomplete as i am still waiting for the last pieces of granite stones for the side pillars. I have it specially cut to size of the pillar as not to get the std size tiles that you find in the market. It will be a whole piece and will have no gout lines. I will email you the cost and details of the quote.
-
Hey george, how's things, tiled your wall?. I will post some drawings/concepts here, i have the details at home on what is the cost. The structure of the pond is done but i have some delay as i am still waiting for some granite tiles that i indent from china to arrive, looks like most likely ETA to be on 20/8.

Warranty Upon Completion.

if your contract does not mentioned or state specifically, then i think you need to work out some arrangement with your contractor and if possible get it in writing. Are you holding any payment to the contract sum? In my contract, it is stated as 1 year and during this period, i am withholding 5% of the contract sum to insure they are correcting defects. If i remember this correctly, water proofing is for 10 years, which is an exception. One thing i am doing is to engage an independent inspector to go thru the whole house and mark out defects and also to submit a report for the contractor to correct before we more in. Hope this helps. -
im looking for some skill labor or contractor that is good at laying wall tiles. Anyone has a recommendation, please PM me. Thanks.

wah seh, really, finally found someone who do not think i am nuts. The height of both the chiller and the waist height fridge is about 850-890mm, Depth and also the width, i will have to get back to you as i need to measure. The chiller dimensions is pretty std and most of those in the market is around there. The fridge is that one i have search long and hard, especially one that has a glass door. I actually got this one from the industrial park in pemimpin, it was meant for small commercial setup but it is exactly what i wanted. If you can wait, i can give you something on Friday as i am in the php now.

i think they are the same shop but another branch. The one in kranji from what i heard from Blum has more stuff, not display like blum showroom but you can see the physical drawers in shelf and also hinges etc... like a typical hardware shop. As i have never compared the prices of blum, i think setup like this could be easier on the wallet due to location/operating cost etc.
-
I am not sure what is your treshold for the pull out, but we got the blum from their distributor somewhere in kranji and it is not that expensive. Give them a call, kiang sing hong hardware @ 6368 2220. They are located deep in kranji industry park somewhere, been there once. I go my contractor to buy a special hinge for the pull up cabinet and also some pull out trays. The other option, which i would not say is cheap/cheaper is Hafele, they are in sg kadut, in "nutz" center. They have soft closing, solid track larder. Hope this helps.

I would think it shd be fine, from the wine perspective as it is kept cool. As to the generation of heat from the chiller, it depends on what you have in the HS that you may be concern about heat damaging it. If whatever that you are keeping is within the acceptable range, then the likelyhood of having an issue will most likely not be there. Wood has a dampening affect that is a fact but if you feel the actual vibration of the chiller it's almost negligible and also different school of thoughts also says that vibration affects aged/old wine....well if you keep $10k per bottle wine in your chiller, i think the league is really very different and everything works on a relative basis. I would think it may be better to build a home cellar where you can have some very unique, fail safe features with environmental control. I am not sure if i have mentioned this before, but i have gone 1 full circle and came back to realize that some of the options that i have discarded is actually the best suited for me. My take is this, understand your taste in wine, year, metal cap/cork, and price. If you like to keep wine that cost a "bomb", i believe your fail safe needs to be enhance to insure your wine don't turn to vinegar if you chiller goes down. If you keep cost per bottle wine <$100/-... personally, the general setup shd be fine. There are good wine ranges that does not cost you much which you and your spouse love to drink and probably keep a few bottle handy for you weekly binge. Over time, you will most likely stock up on a few specific house and types. I started with a chiller full of garbage, sometimes i pick 5-6 bottles to try based on rating but end up not liking it. Wine is about personal choice and taste, you may compromise your taste when you are in a large setting as it is difficult to get what you want but when it comes to being "home", i like to indulge in what i like to drink. Over the years, even my spouse has different liking that both of us likes/dislikes.

sorry did not fully understand your question, why is the developer not responsible for the repair work?. If your place is "new", i assume you must have some years/mths of warranty for defects. and if you fall within this period, the main con that the developer used have to provide the rectification you do not need certification/marble expert to be engaged. Unless both parties has a different classification on these defects. One says is a defect but not the other and the dispute can only be validated by an expert. if i am you, i would just talk to the main con and if not the developer and have these resolve and if it's going to be an impasse, sue their rat a*s. During the process, all these assessment will be a necessity for a verdict.

my chiller have been in the HS for ~5yrs and i don't close the HS steel door, no issue leh... so long there is air circulation, it shd be fine. most if not all chiller now is made in china. If you want the italian, french made ones, be prepare to pay >$5k. Personal preference on racks, no scientific following to which is "better"

i have the same design as you have in the pic, but i have another fridge next to my chiller, this one is a clear glass small fridge use for my softdrinks/beers/water etc. It will be nice as it compliments and you are all set for a good time
