irregardless of manalysian, so long foreigner, if you want to buy landed, you need approval from the SLA unit. They are at temasek tower. there is a limitation to the size of land, something like ~10000sqft, no location restriction. once approval given by ministry of home, you can buy. if you intent to do major renovation or rebuild the house, you need another approval from SLA unit and a S$50k pledge as collatoral. I have been thru it all that's why i can tell you the specifics.

not sure if this will help some of you but there is this shop in simlim square that you may want to visit, it's call "homeautomation" or something on the 5th or 6th floor, it has been sometime since i visit them. Again, they are not cheap but they seems to know their stuff and you may want to shop around but it will give you some baseline on what you want.

Thanks, my wife is looking at white marble. I have no idea about grey or red grain. But i would like to have white marble (got to be natural not compressed) for my whole living room. Can you elaborate what i shd be looking for and also how to select. Thanks. j

is italian marble the most expensive? how about durability and quality?. any idea how much?. Thanks
