  1. Nope no website. The number and address you can find out from yellowpages, etc. What you should do is to go to best denki, etc to look at the items you want. Take down the model number, colours, price. Then call them up for a quote or you can go down. THey don't have much stuffs there as space is limited. Only catalogs. For sink, etc, I bought my sink and WC at Genova Industries. Franke sink + tap - $288. Baron WC + sink + tap - $388. The taps, etc also bought from Genova. The lady serving us was quite good. Gave some discounts. PM me if you need the details. Happy shopping.
  2. yes, they're at hougang. i got most of my electrical supplies there as they're one of the cheapest. good service and prompt delivery. they also give discounts if you buy more.
  3. FOr rinnai, you can go to best denki. Can earn NTUC link points. Alternatively, can go to Goh Ah Bee, etc. Maybe price will be better? call them up and ask.
  4. At least you used woody laminates so the dust / dirt would not be so obvious ... for me, it was pure white laminates which will turn black if the dust settles for too long and if we attempt to get rid of it. Wiping with damp cloth won't solve the problem ... have to use CIF ! Your WIW planning is nice sufficient shelving and hangers for clothes. We sort of regret not asking our contracts to build more hangers / shelves for us ... haha
  5. haha .. .we have the same views when we had the WIW 8 years ago. After 8 years, we realised that we will still have to find some way to cover up the shelves if we intend to renovate our MBR next time. Just the shelves but not the part with the hangers.
  6. I just bought the plastic sheets which they use for sealing up areas for renovation (those commercial use type). Will be starting up my operation sealup this weekend I'm only renovating 1 MBR toilet and kitchen. So still have 1 to use
  7. Noticed that your WIW drawers / shelves do not have doors. Is it deliberate? My personal experience is that dust tends to accumulate / settle very quickly if the clothes, etc are not covered. Esp for the top shelves where we seldom reach / use. Maybe it's something you would want to consider ... for the top shelves.
  8. mine took more than 2 ... lol ... and it's the incomplete form ... he still added things in chinese on my english quote
  9. Actually LSH tiles are comparable (price wise) to SL. The tiles me and my wife chose also never hit the $3.00 budget and they're already quite nice. Their latest tiles are also in the $2.90 range. However, the mosaics are a bit on the high side. Maybe better quality ba ....
  10. http://www.liansenghin.com.sg/contact/contact.htm I think that so long as the tiles were not ordered by Ah Soon, it should be alright to change your tiles selection. Why don't you check with him?
  11. Selected my tiles from LSH. I agree with you that the tiles selection was much better than SL.
  12. I want to match the tiles with the laminates ... if we were only to do that during hacking, it'll be too late as i won't have the time to do so .... Also, there are instances where Ah Soon will give some comments on certain tiles ... so we want to make sure the tiles we selected are ok for the type of works
  13. Thanks for the info I'm getting my tiles from lian seng hin. Seems to have better selection and service as compare to Sin Lek. Didn't go to H as we've ran out of time by the time we're finished with LSH ... haha
  14. Just wondering if you guys/gals have finished your tiles selection and submitted the list to Ah Soon ... tried to call him and arrange him to get the list from me but he never seems to be answering my calls ....
  15. I'm staying in as I'm already staying in my unit. I've already made plans to seal up the areas which are affected to minimise dust
  16. They are starting work on 5th ... should be doing the water proofing on 6th... since i'm at home, will watch them and hopefully take some pics ...
  17. The waterproofing on the floor needs at least 1 day to dry. So after they lay some of the wall tiles, they have to put the water proofing as no one can walk over the place
  18. Ah Soon told me that they will do waterproofing for the floor after they finish a part of the wall tiles. Will monitor when he does my place ...
  19. Do not buy storage heater unless you want to use rain shower or long bath. In the long run, your electrical consumption will be very high. I learnt it the hard way. I'm changing all my showers to instant water heaters now after the renovation of my kitchen and MBR toilet ...
  20. Personally, i feel that their quote is over priced. At least 20% higher than the average market price.
  21. Not enough if you're re-running pipes and electrical and you're laying both floor and wall tiles. If you only do plastering for kitchen and cement screed for both toilets, should be able to squeeze into your budget. Btw, none of the IDs that are above this post can meet the budget because they can't even meet mine when i'm only renovating 1 kitchen and 1 toilet. The lowest quote i get was from a contractor and his quote was at least 3k lower than my 2nd lowest quote. You can imagine the amount of profit they derive by just hanging to an "ID" front ... Good luck. Cheers.
  22. Water stain is normal. Don't use rough scouring pads (green ones) as it'll leave scratches. Just use sponge and cif / jif and wipe. Then clean with damp / dry cloth.
  23. When I asked Ah Soon to quote, I specifically requested for stainless steel backing on the wall for the entire stretch where the hob / sink is end-to-end. It's not written inside the quote but he said it's included. I've been using the stainless steel backing for my current kitchen and it works well.
  24. i learnt my lesson by going for an aeroplane ride try to call him an hr before your appt and remind him.
