The tiler will do automatically once he knows where is the drainage point. For mine, they created 2 drainage point, 1 at the shower area, the other below the sink.

You're so lucky. Uncle never call me to update.... I have to chase him and he will not pick up my calls... I was supposed to meet him last night at 8-9pm ... Nice that you've high water pressure even though you're on the top floor. I've yet to test it out as I've been using hot/cold pipings. Have to wait until they rerun the piping to know the end result

Water pressure for shower is normally high if you use hot-cold piping from storage tank. If use only cold pipe, water pressure is normally lower cuz only 1 outlet.

You should write in to complain to HDB on their quality of service after your reno is complete. Do make sure they have an official reply back as they are ISO certified. Good that your reno is back on schedule

June is a very good month for Uncle cuz he got more than 20 residential projects on hand ... not to mention that he's also incharge of doing rectification works for HDB and he also go commercial projects on hand .... You need to check with him whether his schedule permits .... Initially i also wanted to do it in June but given his then schedule, we decided to bring forward to May instead

The worst case scenario is that you should be able to shift in once the tiles, lights, paint are up and completed swee swee .... just need to wait for carpentry (which is not so dusty compared to the hacking and tiling) ... I see that you have some empty rooms so should be fine yah ?

Don't worry about Uncle giving comments about your own individual purchases. I also got my fair share when I told him I already bought PD doors for my home. He said alot of problems, etc. Better to use bi-fold, cheaper, etc... haha ... He will always share with you his views, especially when it comes to cost. If you don't get your quote in 2-3 days time, best to call him to follow-up. If you can accept a chinese quote, it's best because he won't need to get his son, etc to translate, which will cause more delays.

To be fair, uncle is terribly busy yesterday. He was at my unit only at around 7pm when I called him at least 4 times to ask him on reno matters. I believed he flew many aeroplanes yesterday as he's really terribly busy (from the various background noises I heard over the phone). If Ah Fatt's quote is not competitive, it's always better to go back to uncle. Alternatively, you can send the quote to one of us who's currently having the reno done by Uncle. We can always pass him your quotation and ask him to look at it when we meet him. Hope that helps.

Just to clarify, Jason didn't start the carpentry yet. My previous contractor did a tall cabinet just to box up the pipes so that they are accessible. Uncle also said the same when he came to quote.

Maybe I'm more KS, I already got everything ready by the time they have completed cementing the walls. Didn't want any delay. Moreoever, I'm doing full concrete for the lower cabinets so they had to have all the measurements and to double check.

Are you starting your reno next week?

Wow.... Uncle's quality control quite stringent. I'm happy that he's strict on quality. Who are your tilers? Can describe them?

You saw the tiling works in my blog? Now they've applied the grouting. Once covered, can't really see the gaps, so i guess will just give and take ... Your tilers are ok mah ... why change? The best thing is that they're willing to work on the weekends to speed up the works. Mine are subcontractors so they don't really want to work over the weekends .... (unless Uncle tells them lar ...)
