  1. Its depends on user, boss. Alternatively, getting the ready-made blackout/night curtain could do its trick by dimming user's interior boss.
  2. Hmm.. Renovation a bit slow in progress, MMOH. For example, they supposed to complete their electrical works way 3-weeks behind schedule (workers not sighted) however the ID I signed proceeds with other areas (wet-works so far).
  3. Congrats, Suneeta on your reno progress! You and myself are same neighbors in Canberra precinct. For the rest, kindly follow (not add myself as friend) in my Facebook for reno T-Blog. Its public! The address is https://www.facebook.com/AndyKu246
  4. Boss, Choosing the BTO in Punggol is tough if you prepared to forfeit your registration fee of $10/- as I had one past experience I didn't got any queue no. after balloting. Unless you choose elsewhere besides Punggol, not only you know your queue no. but clearer chances for unit selection.
  5. Hi Stream bro, Congrats on your new house. Congrats too on your data points given.
  6. Any idea besides 4 commercial banks offers renovation loan? Because just Google around I've found 1 Co-op offers that but must be a member. You may check it out here.
  7. Initially asking for 15K if could go thru the bank loan application. However, its been trimmed down to essential item like Electrical Works, Plumbing Works only at toilet and Flooring (which I could understand eligible for free Floor Screed by HDB). Now couldn't stated requested budget since I known the results. For the rest, perhaps would do later once I able to save up (for Carpentry Works).
  8. Sadly gotten results past few days all commercial banks rejected my loan application due to bad credit record by CBS (outstanding) perhaps did promptly pay monthly bill. Sourcing alternative way to do up rather slim down version for renovation instead.

  10. Which BTO Project, bro for 37 SQM? For your flat you need custom made furniture, i.e. Hidden Wall Bed cum Wardrobe to achieve it for maximum Queen Size bed. Unless you willing to downgrade to Single Bed for sleep pad in your bedroom, bro.
  11. Thanks M. Moh, Stealing one more idea. Is it feasible to do stucco wall tiles effect behind my proposed TV area? What is the quote then for said total square feet normally costs?
  12. HaHa. Don't tell me the foyer area is where my common toilet housed! Not only you comment it; other IDs I visited during my reno shopping too finds it weird.
  13. Any better idea besides my sketch-up? Pic #1: General Renovation Works Pic #2: Ceiling & Lighting Works, and Pic #3: Carpentry Works
  14. @Kitchen those walls conceal the duct pipes, eg. Gas, Sewage, Drain and PUB pipes. Checked with various IDs I sourced could not hack those as it is against HDB rulings. @Living/Bedroom those walls housed DB Points, eg. Electricity Circuit Breaker, Telephone Line, Fiber/Ethernet Point, SCV Point. You may choose to hack those provided the costs of re-wiring would eat up your overall reno budget; as I found out it may be feasible to do so but could not guarantee its lifetime warranty.
  15. Don't use porcelain tiles for flooring. Its equivalent to ceramic tiles. Hard object drop on the floor can chipped off. Not nice.. Either use matt homo/gloss homo tiles as it could last longer for impacts. Porcelain tiles are preferred only use for toilets/balcony/yard walls.
  16. One of @FB page Urban Design House came up not Minimalist Theme but Modern Theme.. You might check it out there.. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1147122608707692&id=424382350981725&ref=bookmarks
  17. So far got one. Check it out! http://www.courts.com.sg/courts-design-studio/
  18. Sembawang's EastCrown@Canberra today received email today at 5pm by HDB about possibility TOP date and further needs its home owners to update particulars.
  19. Yours scenario almost same experience as mine. He like customers to address him as Max and find out why as he preferred glamourous name. Well, given out my ideas what should the ID be doing for my floorplan: my proposal. Told this ID to caution that my proposal shouldn't tag with standard package or kitchen cabinet package. Tried query per square foot run for solid top, granite, quartz or ceaserstone could visualize the pricetag differences which their priced at the premium as compared to handful of other IDs or reno company I've visited. True, this outlet they really marked up that compliments hidden costs. Later part of the visit, he attempt me to bribe him by giving him coffee and malay kueh if I am agreed with his quotation, he promised to give special offer such for example constructing a vanity cabinet in my toilet F.O.C. which I strongly refused. So, before I just walk-off after proposed rough quotation been made known, I did argue why he priced it at premium which way beyond my proposed budget and how much bank loan am I eligible up to maximum loan I should get and how am I going to top up the remaining amount that he quoted higher?
  20. Hi, Reasons given to have one hall space like those flats 1-Room in Bukit Merah View. I will attach my floorplan if time permits.
  21. Hi, I am new forumer. Applied Type 1, 2-Room BTO flat in SEM. TOP date would be Q2 2017. Any good advise for this unit to have more living space; such as knocking down DB Points and Sliding Partition doors and relocate only DB Points at TV Console/TV Feature wall area? Is it good idea? At current, been quite a couple of IDs and Reno companies to check out rough reno quotations. Some of IDs or Reno staff claimed could be done, some needs HDB permission or permit and some couldn't be done by leaving the DB point at original location.
