It has been a long time since i had logged in... so many new treads! Some updates: Finally have the time to go furniture shopping a mth back... first purchase was our sofa, which came y'day. It's a 2 seater due to the location of the bedrm door, a mere 1.5m only. Was intending to go for custom made but by chance saw this @ Nova AMK opening. And hubby loves it. Had also met Steven to discuss on the tv console (also a 1.5m, sigh...) and the study rm cabinet. Facing a design headache abt the cabinet so hopefully catching up on treads here would give me some ideas. Does anyone have any idea hw to do up a straight wall with an aircon at middle top of the same wall? If i were to maximise the space (which i really want to), it will look like 2 tall units at the sides and a 1/2 ht below aircon. Which LOOKS obiang. :~ How how?

My balcony is a very gd eg... think no black lines but read similiar stories from RT tt it's unhack-able. End up decided to save the cost of even engaging a PE coz high chance will get rej. And you have to pay the PE upfront too.

Erm, hack or build extra walls? Those with solid black lines cannot be hacked down wor. Why not eat inside the kitchen? Perhaps you can save the $ for dining table and incorporate something like a perm table in the kitchen?

Congrats for moving in!! I forgot abt the depth he was telling me y'day. Said last time when he was doing my hse, he always try to meet @ before/after lunch time w his workers, so he can take his lunch there. But hor, wont 6 feet be too out? I'm actually thinking how to do the cabinets. We didnt want L-shape coz it will eat into the end (and waste the $ to create the dead space). Call them to see if they can accomodate your timing you are intending yr reno to be done... then ask them to come over to look-see and then give you a quotation. From there, add and remove what you want. Thats hw i did it and its the fastest (to me lah). Since the prev owner is still there, make an appt with the chap so that you can bring some potential ids over... Welcome to RT. =)

I love your platform in MBR... because of the hdb requirement mine have to settle abt 4 inches. Yours come with high platform + false ceilings... *envy*

Just to share - don't flame me. When i was shortlisting the id companies, I used to ask for the individual id's hp nos and email address - but i will email them my specs because i used to think that email is better, black and white and all those. I realised after emailing some ids that most of them do not reply to us promptly (though i do not expect a 1 day answer but i'm talking abt 1 wk+ if you are lucky). At the shortlisting stg, a 1 or 2 wk/s reply is really too long. End up i will have to call them to tell them they had mail. Thus, i whd suggest tt calling the ids (no matter which you are asking) to chk if they are available to your timeframe before emailing them (or fixing an appt with them to come down to your new hse). Most of those whom I approached whd prefer a meet-up @ the new hse so that they can take down your requirements on the spot and then emailing you their quotation. From then on, you can add or minus your requirements. Tommy78 & RR2000, will pm you Steven's contacts. Kajua - are you still around? I'm doing the tv console + study rm cabinet finally!! :rofl:

Got part 2. But then, most are done up. Planning to do a wardrobe to house my stuff toys and hb's comics. I got 2 big, really big stuffed toys as gifts from frens years back. Must house them, else they'll attract dust easily. But now trying to juggle AD + part 2 reno. PG/VG, etc etc.

Jaren, What you had gone thru is a lapse in our medical system. Even dental care also like tt. I ganna like super swollen and yet when i go to GP, say take referral letter to go specialist @ NDC, got to wait for an appt with the dental clinic @ polyclinic, and its 6mths! Was so angry and in pain tt i practically shouted @ the nurse tt if 6 mths to GET a freaking referral letter, am I gonna let the pain stay there till then? And don't forget, even if u have a referral ltr, you still have to wait to see specialist leh. Not immediately. What the... $@#%$@% If possible, for physio, since you had paid the initial chunk of $, is it possible to get a referral? At least can save a bit on the physio part...
