Hi starbux, it depends on your scope of works. For whole flat revamp, better buffer for 8 weeks. Dun forget you also need to apply for Reno permit for hacking works. This will take at least 3 working days to 1 weeks depending on your technical officer and complexity of your works.

just to share on my curtains and blinds. I have a total of 11 sets of roller blinds and 1 set of day/night curtains over 24 window panels! cannot imagine having to clean them yearly! Living Area, 3 sets of roller blinds for 6 window panels Dining Area, 2 sets of roller blinds for 5 window panels Level 1 Room, 1 big set of roller blind for 3 window panels MBR, 1 set of day/night curtains, 1 small roller blind set, for 5 window panels L2 BR2, 2 sets of roller blinds for 3 window panels L2 BR3, 2 sets of roller blinds for 2 window panels Recommended by my friend to this curtain contractor, Jackson. I gave him a ring. He brought the samples to my house for selection and measurement on the appointed date. He quoted to me on the spot. Of course we bargained. Thus, we sealed the deal at $2k. Not sure whether it is expensive. We felt the price is reasonable. I know the roller blinds are at $5.50 per foot run. The material chosen is pvc, full black out, able to use wet cloth to wipe or vacuum. We wanted it fuss free, easy maintenance, though there are some fabric materials which are very nice too. He fabricated them from JB, Malaysia. Installation wise is smooth. He helped to adjust the roller blinds due to our uneven walls. Haiz HDB walls are not the same height at all. Lucky some places have curtain pelmets to cover this. Otherwise it will be so unsightly. He is a friendly guy. Would recommend him if you have any curtain/roller blind needs.

very nice and cosy house! i love the photo wall! am planning to do up a photo wall at one sunken wall near my dining. wow your daughter must be enjoying her new playground!! nice! and the bed is so big and comfortable for her! with 4 poles somemore!! i love the balcony!!! really feel so relaxing! if i want to put small plants near my window since I do not have any balcony, what kind of plants are good? And issit easy to maintain? hey for your door outside, did you paint a new coat or must it be HDB's job to do it? Our outside is quite dirty. We called up HDB. They do not allow us to paint the outside ourselves since the outside belongs to them. The best they can do is to paint a new coat of white paint which others might think our house is ah long house! I really dunno what to do? Take some sponge and detergent to scrub the walls or what?

oh it is the electrician who cuts the holes for the downlights! congrats on your progress! hope your opennet issue can be solved. starhub is coming to my place to install the ONT and Residential gateway. My opennet was already done by the previous owner. Keep my fingers crossed that everything will be smooth!! as in no complaints from the opennet installer and starhub installer!

We did not bother to box up the pipes in the toilet. Just this week, we found that one toilet pipe above the shower set leak yellow stuff. So heart pain. But no choice, we have spoken to HDB and they will get the technical officer to check for us. We just shifted in less than one month! Thank God we din box up. Otherwise we would not be able to spot the leakage! Hope the leakage can be fixed quick!

Our tv console in MBR - We requested for the corners to be rounded instead of normal sharp edges in order to minimise the possibility of knocking into the corners accidentally. i got my wallpaper from IMM too. mine is at $450 inclusive of installation. Think that price was a special price. We lock in the order earlier when there was a promotion. the wallpaper also from Korea. Each roll is about 1m by 15m i think, so each roll can fill up a wall of 4.2m by 2.8m. think quite worth it. you can take a look at the pic in my mbr wallpaper. as for curtains, i was recommended by my fren for her contact. did up whole house curtains and roller blinds (4 rooms, living room, dining room) at 2k. not sure if it is ex or not. just so tired with reno and just agreed. Mine is EM. Thus we hv lots of windows. We thought is quite worth it. The roller blinds are at $5.50 i think. If you need his contact, let me know. He can bring his samples to your house and let you choose! Man, it was really tough choosing among so many samples.
