  3. wow your place looks for neat and clean!! like the uncluttedness..did u hv a lot of storage?? your kitchen looks good too!! envy so many cabinets!!
  4. LG products does not seem reliable....heee i nv bought from Gain City wor..i think Kong Tai or those neighbourhood ones are more competitive in pricing though...usually i check the models at HN and then call up these stores and check up the prices!!
  5. ya true...35k is still reasonable..i've come across an EA on 2nd level asking for 120k..faint!! it's the case portion which we are worried about also..coz reno also needs cash...thanks!! i m glad we got the unit too!
  6. ya man sian..if u cant, i also cant lo...sian sian sian........
  7. ya lo..we are very happy getting the EMs...heeee will not regret!! congrats on your hacking!!! hey next time pass me the contact of Alex..will need to redo the room doors. does he do toilet doors too? oh u mean the masterbedroom and common bathrooms hacking still not approved?? awwwwww sian right!!! thot internal walls should not be any problem???
  8. ok think i will consider either parquet or laminates...initially thot of using bamboo due to it eco friendliness but the price tag is not pocket friendly! hi cutiecat, i've been using toshiba washer..not bad...think panasonic also not bad....LG really cannot make it..dun buy LG for aircon as well!
  9. wow good progress bro! is kong tai prices cheaper than HN or courts?? i like bosch oven too!! tangs selling at $799..but waiting for members sale which will have 10% off plus 12% rebate for citibank cardholders! just went last weekend..saw their bosch vacuum cleaner..seems not bad also... oh choosing tiles really not easy...for me i would go for one wall with special tiles..i sort of like one tile which looks like leather...heeee
  10. ya anything more than 600k i cannot afford leh..too siong ah!!! woo cold marble stairs..too smooth..just hope i dun spill water there..otherwise will really 'slide' down the stairs! hahahaa...
  11. hi sarah, i saw your sketch..my concern is the new room near the stairs which has no windows for ventilation. and the fact that the bar counter is so near the wc. but alas the toilet cannot b changed downstairs.will the living area seems cluttered with so many things in the living room? while the shoe cabinet is at the living room..a bit weird as it is just beside the sofa where guests would be sitting near there.
  12. ya at hougang...i also viewed at least 12 too before i settle on this one...... yeah the 8xx series of flats prices are crazy...heeee EMs there selling at least 670k n above...cannot afford ah... another 2 months time lo........still searching for ID.... yeah we love the marble flooring..just tat the staircase also marble..not sure if it is good. oh just buy the next flat under resale...then dun hv to pay back HDB lo..if buy BTO, hv to pay back i think....
  13. oh ya homo tiles can be slippery too..i had this for my living room...especially when i mop the floor...i did slip a few times.... whatever material, have to dry the floor to minimize the risk of falling. when i told frens i want to buy an EM, they gave comments why EM coz it's not user friendly for elderly and small kids due to the staircase. but still we go to buy an EM coz we like it!
  14. hey, actually your unit looks good with the parquet and the arch doors..so unique leh! save up for 2nd reno ba! i still hv to think what to do for my room floors. parquet? laminates or tiles??? is parquet really expensive and hard to maintain?
  15. oh i am only 1.56 and him 1.66...not very tall....thin 1.5m tub is still ok for us....heeee glass partitions sounds cool!! ya your suggestion of using bi fold door and put the top hung on top is good....otherwise sharing ventilation seems lack of privacy! heeeee
  16. yeah we felt still ok though still a bit steep..cov reasonable since i can keep some items and not total overhaul..aiya only a few sqm bigger leh! i agree corner EMs are really hard to find!!! i also dun think i can ever afford a pte property so an EM is the next best thing!! privacy within hdb flats. haha my flat is on 2nd level but i will be sleeping on the 3rd floor ma! haaa
  17. wow it sure took me a long time to finish reading 22 pages of your blog! heee like a fengshui blog..interesting!! thanks for visiting! is my current layout ok?? renovation is really no joke man!! every single detail has to be taken care of!
  18. wow your taps are so cool....really confusing....for rain showers, definitely hard to save water right???
  19. wow seems ready to move in anytime... how does the inside of the shoes cabinet looks like??? think i will do my shoe cabinet with zigzag shelving inside so as to maximise the pairs of shoes to be stored. got one shoes cabinet in my existing house which i got from crystal home. http://www.crystalhome.com.sg/ how come there are some wires dangling from above the tv console??
  20. wow your reno process is gng on well!! soon you are able to move in!!! envy envy!
  21. wow you guys are gng everywhere!!! next time my house ready will invite you all also! heee
  22. oh no idea..better check out nurseries or forums...i only buy dried bay leaf from ntuc to cook beef goulash.
  23. yup....i wish my toilets can be done like your design!! so cool...bathtub 1.4m issit sufficient? ooh my dream toilet!! just tat partner was commenting toilet bowl in between the standing shower and the bathtub seems weird...told him there a partition in between..so the area from the standing shower is considered wet area?? hey for the common bathroom door..what type would be suitable since that area no ventilator? lourve door type or folding?? hmm but folding type also no ventilation wor..what kind of doors you using for that toilet???
  24. haha no choice as i dunno how to use floor planner...tried but cant get it right! so just blanko it and use free hand!! ha i know. some pple brought FSM to see the place b4 they even buy the place! haha but then how to??? really time consuming leh. the reno process is siong and sian..try to cheer her up and look forward to the new house makeover!! then she will be happy!! i also not yet confirmed my IDs yet. heeee. will start meeting up the ID or contractors soon! but my reno not so extensive so should be quite ok since i did not change the staircase, railings, marble flooring..just carpentry, toilets, rooms, rewiring and painting etc. i've shortlisted some IDs from what forummers intro through their reno process..but yet to contact any.
  25. thanks! looking forward to my new house but hv to go through the reno process.... hey i've seen your 2 layout...really nice! nv thought can do like that...have you received your approval from HDB? oh mine is in hougang, not yishun!! heeee so big meh???? hmmm open concept yes i think!!! i got this at val 550k and cov 35k....total 585k...ex right??? think due to the marble flooring...and it's only 2nd floor!! but once you step inside, dun really feel the 2nd floor!! of course can say la!!! can play badminton if i dun furnish anything inside lo!! hahaa
