    Hi, my fiancee and I just bought a resale 5rm flat. We are at an impasse regarding the design of our recess area. We would really appreciate any kind advice from the experts here at renotalk. Thank you!! Her Idea: Break a portion of the corridor wall to create an entrance to our living area at the expense of our kitchen. My idea: To extend the corridor and align it to our living area space, so that we have a bigger kitchen.

    Thanks! It's my first house too. Yeah I'm trying to be prudent as well. Don't mind spending for items that is crucial for everyday use like sanitary wares, mattress, washing machine. Going to be sourcing around for pricing and all once I've chosen a contractor.

    Hi guys, recently bought a 5rm resale unit. It has a fairly squarish layout in living/dining area. However, there are these 2 protruding structural columns sticking out from the wall and they cannot be hacked. Any ideas how i can design around these unsightly walls? Thanks! http://

    Hi sorry to dig out an old thread. I'm looking at a corner 5rm unit which current owner already purchased the recess area. The area is currently fenced up with wrought iron gate. But is it true that I can't fence up the recess area with wrought iron gate anymore and have to move my main door from original entrance to the entrance of recess area?
