Hi all, It had been awhile....Just recover from 10 days fever... not a very good opening 2008 for me. Missy, you have me worries now on my parquet floor, will get my pest control hubby to take a look on them. I didnt check all skirting, sounds hollow can ask them to change meh ? Need your advise on the main gate. Do you all know got a kinda of painting/finishing/vanish that look like metal/iron effect. Do not know how to describe... like metalic iron after the finishing somewhat in black and gold color. I do not want to paint the gate every year with the glossy paint which look awful. Like my current house, my last contractor do the finishing for me and I am very please with the result, 5 yrs no need to repaint. But this time stupid ID refuse to know what is it and tell me they already paint and it's good enough. Make my blood boil when I see the gate like all other gates looks yellowish ! If you all know what I meant, any lobang ? How much will it cost ?

I am very p*ssed with my ID/Sales Agent /project "manager" or whatever you call them. more than a week ago I provided the sink, hood & hobs dimension to him so that his sub-con carpenter can fabricate the kitchen cabinet which will take 3 wks. You know what ? I got a call from the carpenter himself yesterday asking for all details again. When I told him I had already provided all the details as per my promise to him during our last meeting 2 wks ago, he said my ID ask him to get it directly from me. Meaning, we are a week behind time now ! So irresponsible only got the cheek to ask me for payment everytime he called me but work never get it done ! Now the carpenter also scared, request to work direct with me. I might as well engage the contractor directly...why I need an ID ! Luckily that uncle quite responsible and know what he is doing. Working direct with him is quite easy. So ppl, here's the advise never trust them. Always monitor them closely. For important info, I always send email for record. Hope you guys have better luck than me. I am waiting for that stupid idiot to call me so I can blast him if he dare to mention payment again. Ok sorry to bother you all with these craps so early in the morning... just want to let off some steam. Anyone going there this afternoon ? I knock off half day maybe meeting the carpenter there. He said my sink and stove only have 100mm distance apart... due to space and design limitation. So we thought we might as well discuss at site. Any comment on this ppl ? By the way, any idea how much roughly a top hung laminated folding door will cost ? I intend to fabricate one to cover the kitchen door. Thanks.

As quoted by my mom, it gives you a "condo" feel haha rather than supermarket as some has mentioned here. Also, the guy who sold me the lighting tell me cool white is too glaring for reading. You might want to play with the combination of having both in your living area as alternate switches to cater the mood you want. Nipponho, my old house buyer agent told me fixed feature like ceiling lamp cannot take out as it is included in the deal. So you can "BAN" your ceiling lamps meh ? Or this only applies to HDB flat and you are not staying in one ? Else I will go back to ask, I like my old lamp leh so pity cannot bring with me to the new place.

Usually if the contractor install your toilet accessories for you (by the way it's inside the package), will they do something to it or need to tell them separately to ask the plumber to install the head and let them charge extra ?

Thx kriegs, what is "sound bar" ? me sounds system idiot. tried this HTS at best denki last weekend. sales man highly recommended to exchange my free voucher from buying tv with this system (need to top up a bit la) although I will need to buy the HTS direct from Philips. As he won't get any benefit out of it, recommendation seems genuine. He claim that he also recommend to his father in law and feedback is positive. For ppl like me who know nothing of sounds systems, this set sounds quite ok but want some feedback from expert here to know whether value for my hard-earned money
