Guys Sigh want to save money also cannot, this morning realise old wachine machine finally broke down. Guess got to get new one. You know ppl say electrical appliances always cannot tahan moving house. Once moved, sure spoil. Now I believe, hopefully my fridge live longer. Anyone got good buy for washine machine front loader ? Guess I got to go thru previous thread. Just wanna see any more updated info or anywhere got sale ? Can share with me how much you bought yours what's the model and load. Thanks. ckoonyin, Your MBR trunking very similar to mine. I wonder almost every night while lying on the bed facing it (don't laugh) wondering why the trunking goes under the unit instead of along the ceiling (above the unit) which to me looks neater instead of going along the door frame. What say you ? I was not on site only on my phone to instruct my ID to supervise. So not sure whether workable.. so hope you shed some light on this and I won't have to wonder anymore haha. FYI mine done by ALLBEST.

I had engaged their service and to be franked not very happy about it. I had moved in but the job is not entirely done. First of all, the so call ID who engage with house owner is actually a sales person or you can call him a project supervisor. Basically the drawing & design is not done by him but by another person whom did not talk with us so only know our requirement by the "ID" which of course certain information is left out and drawings have to be re-do a few times. Secondly, I do not find that there is space planning as they claimed they do. My point is, is the same as engaging a contractor and tell him to do whatever you want him to and the one who take care of our project on my point of view, did not do his work of supervising the progress at all to meet our deadline. For 1 whole week that I was sick at home and later out of town due to work commitment, nothing had been done to the house and it was me who inform him that, can you believe that ?!? So if you do not have the time like me to monitor your reno closely please engage a real ID not a contractor in disguise if you get what I mean. They delayed the deadline for 2 whole weeks which jeopardize all my planning on furniture/appliance delivery. After much pushing and yelling, everything is done within a week which of course trade off is workmanship and everything in a mess! To be fair, this happen before CNY which is the peak season for renovation. The point is we did mention at the beginning our requirement for date of completion and was assure it definetly can be done as long as we confirm with them immediately, we are safe. So that is why I am sore about the whole thing. I hope you get a more responsible person in charge than my case. I am not saying all of them is no good, but I did have bad experience with them and is not finish with it yet. I still have some pending items hanging and I have already moved in, imagine the inconvenience. And he has the cheek of asking me to settle the balance payment. If you want to go ahead with them, please think through what you want and ensure they comply to your requirement. Follow up closely for the progress and workmanship. By the way, there's a lot of ID outside who will be much happy to show you their drawing at no charge. So why hurry to pay $500 just to look at drawing and being push to sign the dotted line ? Don't be like me. My 2 cent worth. I sincerely wish you have better luck than me.

Hi Cococsharp, Welcome ! Me same blk same unit with you leh hehe. You move in already right, I have similar problem with SCV leh. My service transfer from old house. At first the CSO said done already. Then we realise it dont work and ask them to send technician down. I dont understand why their technician came my house check my point already then say no signal but cannot activate the signal. They told me another technician will come and activate the point which is somewhere outside our unit but this can be done only on the next appointment which is 2 wks later. Due to CNY they are short-handed ! This I cannot understand, since they were here why cannot do it straight away must wait another appointment. They want to charge transportation fee but we refused threatening to terminate their service, not sure whether it will appear on our next bill. Now like nothing can be done until the next appointment ! Cr*p lah.

Spinball, Not all la maybe only my unit suay no signal need to activate. Cannot be both low bat ba... anyway it's up to you but I when on without resident line for 5+ years at old house. Ok leh. My contractor say cannot even conceal... I also dunno.

spinball, no signal at all leh.. means free one also cannot watch but hor can get some indonesia/malaysia eg tv2 channel leh hehe. Phone line you can choose singtel or starhub. I enquiry already Starhub you need to have a dunno what digital modem then phone have to link to pc... very ma fan leh... but now got promo you chk their website this will be free subscribtion until end 2008 if sign contract for max-online. But i still find it a hassle so maybe get Singtel direct to phone socket easier but cost a bit more but reliable ba anyway starhub customer service sux. If only you and your spouse no need phone line save cost la... nowaday ppl all carry handphone. Day time work, after work young couple seldom at home one. No one at home why connect phone line ? Me no choice as home got maid taking care of my small children but also thinking whether prepaid card better. as for the pipe ya very ugly hor... my contractor threaten us say if cut off later gas leak how ? but I think he is bullsh**ting us la. Guess got to check with hdb but isn't that his job ?? but my old hse done have this pipe leh... I cant rem what had been done to this pipe.

ckoonyin, their technician came and check and say no unit. Need to wait until 18th den got technician to activate for me because CNY they are short-handed. I guess their technician all Malaysian. Hubby quite pissed about it coz it mean he will miss many soccer match of his fav team. I dont really mind haha... but I think their service sux la. I wanted to activate tel phone line too. So now means I dont have access to cable, internet also... spinball, its for heater la. My storage tank is connected to the "u" shapped tube (u-tube ?!?!) but hor my contractor leave the 3rd one (the one pertruding out) as it is... told my hubby they cannot do anything bcoz it's connected to gas pipe (for gas heater) when he ask them to saw it shorter and maybe seal up since so ugly. Donno how true is it lo but I find it an eye sore.....

Dear neighbours, This place is getting crowded haha. Please keep it going. To update you all , after much chasing and scolding the contractor, I'd moved in last friday. There are still a number of things not done but had manage to have a small celebration for my daughter's 1st BD party. Was very very angry with my contractor ( or so call ID) and I was very mean, I refused to make any further payment to him so he can have a big fat CNY celebration at his hometown. By the way, the neighbourhood seems to be quite active at night. For the past few nights I stayed there, noise had been coming up from the courts & multipurpose hall until late night. Although it's windy, we still need to on air-con as windows have to be closed to block out the noise..... Anyway, in case I am unable to acces internet later... let me take this chance to wish all neighbours HOPE ALL OF YOU WILL PROGRESS FURTHER AHEAD IN THE FORTHCOMING YEAR AND HAVE A VERY PROSPEROUS YEAR. 新年快樂 　 一定要幸福喔 GONG XI FAI CAI Amoyz

That time I forgotten about the whole thing and only recall until I moved in for about 1 year. panickly i called them bracing myself for penalty and you know what ? town council only say "ok lo... just fax over". Case closed !

Hey ppl, if contractor (I hv decided the one I engage is not a ID) delay their schedule can we deduct their payment ? Mine delayed for more than a week and scr** up all my planning including my daughter's first bd party, can I deduct money or not ? Any comment ?

wooh... exceed my budget for washing machine. I only budget for $400-500. Actually importantly is save water. Our utilities bill keep going up, washing machine water consumption high. ya man, the sign really put-off your "appetite" of going into that place to browse. dont understand them, put up the sign to chase away potential customer. Deco quite nicely done, but take only something this small to spoil the effort. I think they dont have intention to sell the curtains since they are furniture shop, they just want to segregate their sections of beds. Price indicated just to scare of "dirty fingers" from touching the strings..... the bride forum do mention quite a number of places & lobang for string curtains. anyone got good lobang of curtain please let me know, I am also shopping for curtains for whole units but run out of ammo (cash) now so I put it at the back of the list until I move in. Living room should have curtains to make it more cozy, but thinking of having roller blinds for bedrooms for easy maintenance. What say you my dear neighbours ? seems like I am moving in earlier than most of you, plan is to move by end of this month before CNY. Got to focus more now .... been quite layback on this whole reno thing.

Saw some at IMM 3rd floor, can't remember which shop but they are one of the furniture seller located at the center common area. There are sign put up say $150 per mtr, if you pull and damage that's the price you gotta pay. Not very friendly sign, so I never go in and ask whether they sell although I am interested. You can try if got time. Looks classy I must say.

ya started sometimes already. light box done, painting done, platform done, electrical done, aircon done, lightings already install, not sure about bath room accessories should be this week, now only wait for carpentry job only. chemical wash should be today. now i got cash flow problem, old hse handover date later than expected, reno job should be finished by this month....sigh where to find cash....... sang nao jing... got ah long to intro ? we blur blur also never go into details on the defect checking, now just pray hard everything is ok. Wish me luck neighbours ! next step is to decide whether to find mover or just ask friends/relative to help.... got a few bulky item to move over eg fridge, washing machine and dining table.
