commando & teodami, ok wil PM u guys the quotation tonite cos i got to go off soon. gota scan in the quotation too hee. anyway, my personal view of them is they're quite ex cos haven quote me ceiling works already out of budget by quite a bit. somemore. i think we dun have "chemistry" with the designer we met there commando - the units are over at 678D and their ID is from Inzen. i'm not too sure of unit no cos din take note as ID brought us over. tink not very nice to post here cos i overheard got contractor wana go see the design of their ID, which i tink is not very ethical. perhaps if u reali wana go view urself, i'll PM u the floor. else i tink can if u wan the contact of the ID i can PM u too then u can ask him to show u the units they've done ilovecoffee - ok wil try to start one later or soon if i can. ha. but dun reali have much pics to post leh hopefully tat'll give u motivation to start urs too!! ok gota go now.. later!

we reached there a while b4 our appmt time haa.. hubby la took time off nia..end up stil go off later than scheduled heng not late lor i was like naggin at him all the way haa anyway, very happy to collect our key! hee. went to check on our flat .. din reali check in detail too, but i think generally stil ok. same thing, main door some cracks and very tight ah cannot close..muz use force. then toilet door oso very tight. wil go check again on sat hee. but gd thing is today's trip was fruitful cos i actually called up 3 IDs on tue. one offered to go down to help us check on defects. appreciate his effort and he reali came today. told us wat are the things to look out for. but he said generally ours not too bad. then after tat met another ID who has got quite a lot of units which he's doin there. viewed 2 of the units and found the worksmanship to b quite gd. overall, both ID gave us quite gd impressions hee. hope to c their quotation and sugg soon. arrgh reali tirin to keep sourcin ard for IDs anyway, tinkin of startin a reno blog hee. perhaps later..i'm too tired now .. did a lot of walkin haa

hi all, was readin thru this thread and since u all had so much praise for benedict's services, so i thought of giving him a call. i think he sound reali tight and very bz, cos he mentioned he can only start reno in mar, which i tink shld b fine for us cos we considerin to shift in only in jun. however, when we came to the budget portion, did mention to him tat we're reali tight on budget..so asked himi if there's any min then he'll do. he said of cos if it's like 1k, then he cant do it cos he's the oni one handlin the proj and all these are takin up a lot of his time. he asked for our budget and i told him hopefully under 15k with no hidden costs. actually we r thinkin of doin kitchen, livin room & MBR wardrobe oni. is our budget reali too low? anyway, he told us min abt 20k then he'll do else might not b worthwhile as he's very bz. i can understand where he's comin from.. juz kinda sad tat he kinda "reject" us b4 lookin at the floor plan or meetin us up to discuss. was tinkin if his ideas / designs reali tat gd, we might tink of how to stretch our budget a bit..and hopefully include electrical works, hob & hood & sink. too bad, guess we are not fated to get him... have to try our luck elsewhere

hmm tink crazygirl48 clarified abt tat in her post. i duno tink tat's wat i heard. ya better to clarify tomorrow. ours at 1pm actually hopin for earlier slot so tat we've got more time after tat to go to the house to take a look etc. u know of wat we shld we when we go open the door? heard my frns said gota roll the pineapple etc haa... we duno abt all these. cant wait for tomorrow to come hmm we r stil sourcin ard. have gotten quotes for 4, namely stiles, baroque, decormark & inner view. but so far, only decormark and inner view closer to our budgets i tink. however, dun reali have any we'll particularly impressed with. any comments on these IDs? haiz, searchin for a suitable ID reali is a very tedious process.

Hi, Anyone used Decormark before? Met up with them last wk.. cos we were area jurong east area for makan then happen to c them, so juz went in for quotation. met them up again and they actually showed us a layout plan with colours etc. however, cant seem to find them website though they have it on their namecard, and also dun reali c any threads on them in this forum.. so anyone who has engaged them b4 can give ur comments? if possible to post pictures of ur completed house, wil b even better.. thanks!

oic.. then i know which unit u r talkin abt ours is the slanted one (corridor unit) opp urs but on 15th flr hee. ya luckily we were able to get high flr one oso cos quite a lot gone b4 our turn. and so happens my frn oso got a unit on 15th hee. hmm i heard from my frn tat gota hand up the defects list within a wk? hey then wat time is ur appmt?? mayb can see u all there but i'm sure shld have quite a few our area one collectin keys on tat day too

wow crazygirl48, from ur list like quite a lot of defects here and there leh. i tink main prob shld b the doors & tiles rite? doors crack or cant close then tiles stain or hollow. reali muz check thoroughly after we got our keys hee. btw, ask u all ah, after collect keys can straight away go open door or muz choose a date one? any procedure to "pai pai" or not? duno how to go abt doin it.. btw, i've pasted wat u posted in the other thread regardin the common defects. wil b gd to consolidate into one thread i guess o ya, u r in blk 676b oso rite? mind to let me know which floor u're on? hee.. so have u got ur ID?

Toliet - Hollow Tiles - Door can be pushed open after closed - Shower head turn rusty. 3. Tiles (Near drainage) - Edges got holes. Living Room 1. Tiles - Hollow Tiles - Edges got holes - Yellow stained marks on tiles. 2. Main Door - Top hinge area got a hole at ceiling. - Cracked lines at the centre of the door. 3. Main Gate - Top padlock holes not parallel. Master Bedroom 1. Toliet - Windows cannot close. - Shower head turn rusty. Windows for kitchen, living room, 2 toliets and 3 bedrooms. 1. Stained or dirty. Letterbox lock 1. Unable to open smoothly as lock has turn rusty.

So for fellow neighbours who has already checked ur place, would greatly appreciate if u could contribute so tat for those of us who has yet to collect the keys, we might have some idea wat to look out for. Hi sengkt, yap, i agree wif u guys tat it's gd to consolidate a list so as to look out for the common defects. ok i go start a new thread on it later.. pls do contribute hee. in tat case, i guess it saves time for ppl like us who hasnt collect our keys yet on wat to look out for. last sun actually went down to our new flat, walked ard a few levels in our blk.. saw quite a few units has got those white tape pasted on the the main door.. realised tat there are actually defects on the doors as well. like some part of the wood already split, so are knocks or scratches on the door. mayb b4 key collection we can chk on the main door 1st haa. wonder how long it takes for hdb to rectify all the probs... worried it might affect the time we start reno. btw, juz to share.. i called up the hdb officer in charge of our application yday. was told by her they are scheduling the dates for us to collect the keys already. shld b able to get it this mth. phew! quite relieved after hearin tat.. hopefully it wont take long!! and true enuf, like wat GraCieGaL says, juz thinkin we're able to have our own home soon is all so exciting and happy! haha so for those who are stil waitin for the keys, mayb u all would like to call up the officer in charge of ur case to find out too.

yap, AHG = additional housing grant. cos i heard if got apply for tat will take longer time. o u can go to hdb website, click on the icon "my hdb page" on the right hand side. hmm i know of my neighbour on another floor, not en-bloc one. they got their keys within about a month's time from the first appmt date leh. so gd!! i guess it reali depends on the hdb officer handling our case. although we only plan to start reno after cny, but i stil very kan cheong to get our keys haha.. so u've already got someone in mind to do ur reno?

Hi, Have selected our 5 room premium sometime back in end Nov and currently still waitin anxiously to collect the keys to our new home. however, in the meantime, have been trying to source ard for ID to do up our new place.. cos considerin to start reno after CNY. however, visited quite a no. of ID and so far, only gotten 3 quotes. find tat they are all out of our budget since ours is a premium flat and we have a very tight budget, so hopin to settle everything within 10-12k. however, after lookin at the quotations, was tinkin perhaps i'm askin for a lot of things to b done which doesnt fit into our budget, so thinkin of mayb at most we can fork out 15k actually we are only tinkin of doin livin room, kitchen and MBR. livin room mayb tv console, feature wall above tv console, feature wall for bomb shelter, shoe rack. kitchen only cabinet and MBR only wardrobe. is tat a lot to ask for our kinda budget? now considerin whether we shld get a contractor instead since we have a low budget.. and colleagues feedback tat gettin contractor better cos ID mark up a lot and no point payin them so much since in the end they also subcon out. although i also understand gettin contractor means gota do all the coordination ourselves and reali gota have somethin in mind to get the contractor to do for us. arrgghh duno how...
