yo commando, any idea where to check who's the hdb officer in charge? today i called up another person at another no., not the usual bsc no at blk 675 there. i stil thought the person is the hdb officer in charge of my unit, cos i got the no when i submitted the defects list online. i tink she's the "technical officer" or somethin. anyway she said she's also from bsc but the main office (ie. the ones at our place are their contractors). now then i know abt these. feelin reali abt the status and progress. it's been 2 wks and no one called me to update us how's the status called up last thur and the "sleepy voice" lady said she'll need to send ppl down to chk and wil call me on sat. when we went down last sat, it seems like for the whole of last wk, they have not been doin anything!! omg.. this is already the 5th wk since i handed the keys to them. they r juz wastin our time and draggin on the process. very frustrating. then the lady whom i called said she called up the contractors side and they said they've rectified it but there are discrepancy between wat they tink has been done and wat i want.. so she said wana do another joint inspection.. reali waste of our time.. somemore they only work 5days so tat means we gota specially take off for them!? hubby's job very hard to take leave unless reali urgent matters. if worse comes to worse i gota go down alone already wonder y they dun tell me earlier if they feel tat they have already finished all the defects!?! they insist tat the parquet has been revanished but to me, seems like nothin has been done. i've seen other units with better quality. wonder y the double standard ya they are like tat one.. tat time we complained abt the centre portion of the parquet bloated they also told us it's like tat one.. it's ok everyone oso same prob blah blah.. they juz dun wana do it for us.. then when i insisted, the younger one said they'll try.. after a wk, called me tell me it's due to expansion of the wood.. cant do much.. even we were to redo it, after a while oso wil have same prob... obviously tryin to shrink responsibility... so how did hdb rectify the prob for u? hi rumi, i think water and power supply has been pre turned on. for us it was.. so u can check

yap, we were there on both fri & sat hee. hmm but on fri before we left i tried to look down, din c ur unit door open leh haha. anyway, welcome to pop by nex time nope, haven start. haven settle for the id. i guess mayb gota wait after the "qing ming" period liao. meanwhile, wil use this time to settle on the discussions and design shld we decide on an id. when do u guys plan to shift in? for us, we plannin to shift in in jun hee. icic.. haiz i tink no end to the probs one. reali gota shoot an email to hdb already... yap i have.. chk ur PM for my msn email add ya i agree man. the rectification works seem like never ending one. haiz. went down on fri and i think this whole week they never do anything for our unit at all i stil called bsc up on thur to ask abt the status and the "sleepy voice" lady told me she not sure. gota send the workers up to check i stil tell her we need it to be ready by sat and she said ok she wil chk and call me yday. not even a single call from them tink can give up on them already. nex wk wil try to call up my hdb officer. they have dragged on for a mth already.. let me know if u suceed to claim back the conservancy charges

oic.. then i know which unit to look out for from upstairs when we are there liao hmm our main door initially was very tight too. had prob openin and closin it. after rectification works start, seems ok already. but last wkend again have some prob with it. duno is it due to the expansion.. but weird.. how come it wil keep expandin and contractin? then like tat how to solve the prob..

i'm stil waitin for jeremy to get back to me on his revised quotation. he told me he'll send it to me latest by tue. but til now stil no news yet !! although we reali like his design, but i think apart from the budget being a big prob, the other part now is oso the time he takes to revert to us. i tink we dun reali have tat much time to keep on waitin already... no choice i guess gota seriously consider other IDs. else even if we were to sign up with him, i duno how long our reno wil take... feel tat he's reali super bz and juz unsure whether he'll spend much time on "small biz" like ours or not !! but i understand wat caDAVEr means. i also like the way he describe and present his ideas to us. it's a very diff feel from other IDs and it makes it very "real" as if u can reali imagine how ur house wil b like.. a very great feelin hee. if we dun have any budget constraint, i tink we would have already went ahead hee. it's a difficult decision reali.. jov, u've got PM

great, so let's arrange a day like if this wkend u guys wil b goin down, mayb can meet up for a while others who r interested, let me know too. i try to coordinate crazygirl - so u shld b on the corridor opp our unit one ah.. hmm which corner u belong to? hee. popeye gal - we got prob wif our grouting too. the floor feels powdery no matter how many times we mop. hai. seems like the powdery thing from the grout which has been redone is coming off. but after bsc ppl came to mop for us, then last sun we went down to wash the floor again, now seems better. at least when i use my fingers to rub the groutin, nothin reali came off. we'll c how it goes. the whole of last wk bsc din inform us of the progress. not even after they changed the letterbox lock..now cant open my letterbox it's the 4th wk already and they haven even call us to tell us when they can handover. haiz

toothytooth, sorry to miss u out hmm ya the air planes sound reali quite loud. but i guess no choice, gota get used to it. sooner or later shld b used to it liao. but i'm sure the planes wont b flyin til so late at nite..so at least we wont b disturbed by the time we r back from work hee. ya, i also have prob wif my grouting. when i used my finger to rub against the "new" grouting, the powdery cement thing wil get rubbed off. then seems like no matter how many times we clean the floor, stil got this powdery feelin one. already feedback to bsc..last sun went down seems like it's better..cos thur when we went down c them helpin us to mop the floor ha. asked the bangala he said after the wash if we stil not satisfied, then go tell bsc again. but now i use my finger to rub seems like wont come off liao. mayb need to wait for it to settle down or be mopped off.. then like tat like defeat the purpose of re-doing it.

hmm went down last sat.. found tat they've made progress.. but quite unhapi abt some things.. firstly, found tat the parts whereby i've labelled with masking tapes on the wall seems like they have not been rectified. then i gota waste my time and effort to check everythg again.. arrggh after tat, found tat after they rectified the defects on MBR bathroom door frame, i tink they repainted portion of it, then the paint dripped onto the floor, and wat's worst is tat it dripped onto the skirtin as well. so i tink they tried to scrap off the paint on the skirting, and guess wat? they scrapped off part of my skirting "skin" as well!! omg **** ugly with a patch like tat.. and they juz left it tat way.. then also i find tat they used the pail tat we bought for mopping the floor. use nvm, stil dirty it.. it was so dirt with the cement or those white powdery stuff which they used to do the grouting on and in it.. i have planned to use tat in future one.. and then they also removed 2 old rags which we left there to dry our feet. was so fed up i submitted another list to feedback everything to hdb. but went up on thur, seems like they stil remove the maskin tape after the defect has been done. but i tink the skirting prob.. dens, black patches on top etc they haven rectify for us.. already into the 3rd wk and nex wk is the 4th. until now they haven called me to tell me they can handover the flat to me...omg. after i submitted the list on sun, nobody followed up with me this whole wk hmm am i being too particular and fussy in this case?

hmm i but for me, i tink the lady who called me to fix appmt for the joint inspection is from BSC leh. cos tat time i called BSC's no, she picked up the phone. She's tat malay lady haroldism mentioned i tink. i tink for the hdb technical officer in charge, mayb it's the person whose name was reflected in the confirmation screen after we submit our online defects list. cos i got another name and phone no. of another lady besides the one who called me from BSC. but so far, i've not called her yet. if BSC reali cant rectify the defects to our satisfaction, then i guess no choice gota call hdb up to make noise liao. but tat time durin joint inspection, i did tell the one with a cap on (is he the foreman?) tat regardin the window hinge, we'll contact hdb directly for clarification.. cos they kept insistin tat the hinges are not rusty.. juz dirty.. so i got fed up and tried to "threaten" them with hdb..since i tink hdb shld have power over them. but they told me if i wan ask can go ahead lor. end up they say the window if wan do, need to wait..i said ok lor tomorrow wil go c wat they've done so far... hope i dun have to go direct to hdb..tat wont b so nice.. duno whether they'll add anythin "extra" to the tiles or do other things to our house for "revenge" or not haha.. sorry tink i'm being paranoid

hi joc, regardin the stained grouting, no prob one u can juz include it in ur defects list. they wil do it for u one. cos a lot of us here had ours done also. juz insist tat they gota redo it..i guess shld b no prob one. they haven done my kitchen and bathroom one so nt too sure abt tat. but i agree the bathroom groutin looks reali dirty. today called them up again to ask them to do it for us cos we actually included tat in another defects list cos we only reported abt the livin room groutin initially. for defects on parquet, i tink some forumers said they wil knock on every pc to chk for hollow ones. but i can say it's reali very tedious cos we tried tat. end up haven finished checkin all the 3 rooms ha. but i guess more importantly, look out for holes, gaps, dents, scratches etc. can ask them to revanish the skirtin as well as the parquet. u can surely c the diff after they revanish one cos it's more shiny and looks nicer, more glossy

o i tink u can try askin them abt it. c whether they can do it these 2 days. shld b quite fast one. else try to negotiate for it to b done after the reno lor. juz tell them u all 4gotten to include it in the defects list c wat they say ya i also tink after the groutin has been done, it reali looks better. hope to c more progress this wkend..
