yeah! ID informed me today tat hdb has given approval for hackin of wall. so today wil hack wall and he said false ceiling and partitions are underway! cant wait to go down to c the progress.. wil update wif pics then..stay tuned!

hi rumi, sorry my mailbox full. already deleted some msgs hmm tat time we complained of scratches.. but they din reali do anythin for us.. in the end for our MBR window, they went to paint over the frame wif paint! wah looks reali ugly..cos they say they no budget to buy tat kinda varnish or wat for paintin the window frame..and they wont replace it oso, cos hdb says too ex to get the window contractor to rectify the defects. but hubby says ok la, not visible ask me to close one eye..cos rectification works already dragged on for 6 wks tat time. i oso sian liao, so juz accept lor. as for kitchen windows, i duno wat they did..tink they tried to patch up the chip off part.. so not as visible.. juz take it lor no choice. but ours are all minor scratches and chip offs...not reali major ones. btw, our windown panels are ok..no prob wif tat.. sorry thot u are talkin abt the window frame..

hmm i guess to us, also wil b pricing and of cos muz b safe for use hee. since we seldom cook, so muz meet our budget. now also duno whether to get SS or glass one. is glass one safe? but SS one dun look as nice leh.. on the other hand, glass one is more ex hee.. dilemma as for hood wise, tink we need to get a chimney one cos of the design of our kitchen. but id propose to get a streamline chimney kind.. and i tink tat's again more ex haa.. any recommendations on any brands tat's more budget yet gd?

hmm i'm not too sure too.. juz got the feedback from my neighbour when he asked the scv ppl down to fix theirs. i was stil wonderin whether is it cos when the bsc or hdb ppl did some rectification works or wat, they left the door open. din know the splitters are in another locked cabinet.. cos nvr open up to take a look. but anyway, i tink u guys better chk..or perhaps muz wait til move in then wil know? since the cabinet housing the splitters is locked. but juz an update.. sun i emailed hdb abt it..and oh my, they are reali efficient..called me yday sayin tat they've already fixed it. at least they are fast rectifying this haa

hmm which bus stops u guys talkin abt ah? err..din notice. is it the one opp the temple.. dun tink so rite..tink tat bus stop was already there.. so tat means rite in front of the entrance (as in the main entrance whereby the cars enter), there's now a new bus stop? guess the best thing is tat it's both practical and presentable then wil satisfy all of us

Thanks, Grace ok here are more pics hee. made time to go down today to c how's the progress of the reno and true enuf, most of the elect wiring has been done. now waitin for hdb to give approval for us to hack the wall between MBR & living, then remaining elect works can b completed LR elect wiring MBR wiring. no choice, no false ceiling to cover the wiring. but at least ID got the workers to run the trunkin above the door.. looks quite neat i guess.. at least only a small portion is exposed hee. above door one mayb not so obvious ba.. sorry pic a bit blur gona hack down this wall in MBR then this area wil b our WIW Wiring in kitchen also done hee. gona do recess lightings above the cabinets so cover up the existin lighting points hee.

hello.. btw, juz to share.. heard from my neighbour who has shifted in tat they couldnt get their SCV to work. so they got the scv ppl to come down to check and found out tat their splitter in the electrical duct door was stolen. he feedback to us tat the scv person checked and also said ours was stolen as well so our neighbour sugg tat we rept this matter to hdb, so tat they can replace for us for free. he said they already shifted in, so gota pay scv $40++ to do it for them.. mayb we better check and report to hdb if there is reali such a prob. i duno..i juz went ahead to submit the defect list to hdb haa. although reno started, but tat's outside the house.. tink they are stil responsible to do it for us..

this is actually the pic of the tile we've choosen for our cooker area hee. but i tink from this pic it's not clear. anyway, mayb wil post again when the materials are delivered haa. our kitchen cabinets gona have the rustic kinda look..so tink this tile match tat kinda look quite nicely. juz tat it's actually a floor tile but id said it can b used as wall tile too... hopefully turns out nice

hi jjcian, pai sei me mia for quite a while again hee. been bz last wk anyway, great news tat at last our reno has started hee. from my reply to cantona, u'll know but juz now sms id to ask whether any probs on 1st day of reno..and phew..he replied no probs, elect wiring already done hee. tat's fast.. faster than the date stated on the work schedule he has given to us hee by rite wed shld b ceiling works and piping. but our hackin stil pendin approval, but he presume shld b approved by this wk. so once hackin completed, then wil b partition works already. reali lookin fwd to seein our house. but these few days rather bz duno wil have time to go down or not hee. anyway, wil try to post some photos if i manage to take any. juz tinkin scarly by the time i go down, most of the things done already..then can only take pic of the completed item o ya.. i've got somethin to post though.. let me c if i can get it up later

hmm long time since in posted here hee.. juz some updates yeah! finally made our first purchase on sun! haa.. got carrier sys 3 aircon from All Best. Wow the prices of everything goin up.. we wanted the cheapest and salesperson told us to get carrier. less than 2yrs back when we got our fugitsu only 1399.. now dun have this kinda prices liao we put a deposit and they are able to hold back the installation.. scared aircon prices wil b goin up somemore, so juz listen to him to put a deposit to secure the price hee. finally after so long, i think we've more or less found someone to start the reno haha. but haven sign the contract. now in the process of gettin him to amend the contract to put watever i can tink of in black and white ha. i guess wkend wil meet up to sign contract as well as select materials. design wise more or less ok already cos he has already shown us hand drawn sketches. yippy!! finally can start reno soon..so excited! but hopefully his carpenter's schedule is ok cos he was supposed to check on their schedule and then get back to us.. keepin our fingers crossed tat they can complete by the deadline we have given ok, wil post updates soon and hopefully, pics if any.. stay tuned!

Hi jjcian, Thanks for the map tat sure helps hee. else i'm always so blur on the locations of the blks haha. so tat means we r kinda opp each other thanks i've seen ur layout. tat's nice.. tat was one of the better design we got from one of the IDs. There was some diff cos he proposed other things.. basically quite a no. of hacking.other than hacking the MBR wall, he oso sugg hacking wall between BR 2 & 3 so tat everythg wil b in line with HSS, and also other parts. though we reali liked his proposal a lot.. but too bad quote comes up to over 30k. way off our budget. so far for other IDs, they've not propsed anythin like tat yet. pls check ur PM yap, i've always feel tat u gota have chemistry with the ID.. muz reali b able to communicate well and he muz know wat we wan, as well as to provide ideas and solutions. glad u guys found urself a gd one do keep us updated. seen tat ur MBR wall already hacked off.. tink we might b doin tat too..so reali help to see some pic of tat hee.. guess it reali makes ur MBR much more spacious rite.

Hi jjcian, We've got the exact same layout! hee. btw, i'm from 676B..errm is it the one opp ur blk? pai sei until now stil not very sure of the exact layout of the blks haha. we're stil in the process of sourcing ard for IDs. so is it possible to share ur quote and how ur ID actually design ur unit? very curious since we've got the exact same layout. we actually met up with quite a few IDs and had quite a no. of diff proposals.. but so far not many we found to b very outstandin. possible to PM me? Hi all, Just like to find out whether anyone here has any ID to recommend who has done up ur premium flat for below 12k budget?? Of cos u muz be satisfied with their work, design, attitude and coordination then i presume u'll recommend them here.. and if u have a t-blog or pictures to show then it'll b great. After mths of fruitless search, i'm kinda anxious now.. cos all those we've met mostly quoted out of our budget.. or gone missing without getting back to us. mayb i expect too much the one whom both me and hubby find to be more unique in design and outstanding blown our budget big. finally i decided to listen to hubby who's more practical and feel tat the reno can b done under 12k cos our frn (also our neighbour ) did tat. tried to get a quote from his ID but somehow duno wat happened.. guess he's too tied up.. till now haven got back to us.. it's been 2 wks. haiz. wana start the reno by end apr.. so reali cant delay anymore.. besides, our rectification works shld b completed by this wk..took 1.5 mths anyone here can help by making genuine recommendations of IDs who has done up ur place well?? thanks!

yap we applied sometime in late jan or feb abt 1-2 wks after we got the keys.. even the pre turned on supply if u use it, they wil also charge to u.. so i guess perhaps b4 we applied for the supply, if the hdb workers were there to do any touch ups, those expense we also paid for it.. after u apply for it, the bills wil come very fast. to date, i've already rec'd my 2nd bill! haiz.. they'll b very fast to bill us...

o no la.. cos after we collected the keys and saw the notice in our mailbox tat the power supply has been pre turned on and tat we have to go and apply to SP for our power supply within a week, i quickly submit my online application the following wk. though it was after a wk, but i called them up to tell them not to discontinue my power supply cos i'll be sending an online application. so the officer helped us to sort of extend it after our application was approved. then i guess mayb u gota go apply already since they have disconnected it? yap tat was wat she said when i asked. u mean the techincal officer rite? cos i juz login to my home page at the hdb website. there's 2 person stated. 1 is the estates officer and the other is technical officer. anyway, i guess no choice then either i tried callin the estates officer c if she could help but i guess likely she'll refer me to the other one. or i gota call the other one again. mayb tell her we reali cant arrange a time to meet her. ask if they can go do inspect on their own. i tink we're in the same situation lor. 2 wks ago (ie. 16/3), we went up and saw they've done somethin. but prior to tat on 10/3 i've already submitted another defect list so there were stil some pendin defects. and i find tat without rectifyin the defects, they removed the maskin tapes waste my time and effort to go thru everythin again. then last wk (22/3) we went down again and noted tat our house was stil in the same state as a wk ago. tat means for the whole of last wk they've not done a single thing! reali very angry.. to tink she stil said she'll return my call on sat but empty promise again. today already wed and i doubt they've done anythin esp now tat the TO said there are discrepancy and they claim to have finished wat they shld.. duno wat to do now... u r lucky..ur TO so gd got everything rectified for u liao...tink my TO sounds like cannot make it one oso leh. hopefully she'll b able to help yap i know..i've seen her in person before hee.. she's has the same sleepy voice as on the phone, and i tink she has this sleepy look too ok then, wil update again how it goes..
