hee.. tat's y it's better for u to go down to view the actual units. easier to visualise and u might b able to gain entry to view the actual layout.. chk ur PM updates.. aircon has been installed by All Best today. muz say kudos to their very pro workers. although they were late.. came at 330pm (supposed to come between 2-3pm), but i muz say they are reali efficient.. started the job at 4pm and by 630pm they finished everythin already and they kept the place clean by sweepin up all the debris after drillin holes very promptly. even better than our painters who left their rubbish everywhere another person worth complimenting is the lights delivery man from chun seng lighting (formerly know as chelsea i tink). was on the bus when i called him and cos there's some changes in delivery time, he offered to give me a lift. asked me to alight from the bus and he came to pick me up. went up to our place to put the lights there. then after tat cos i wan go jurong point, he offered to give me a lift too. very frnly and chatty ok, now lookin fwd to completion of paintin tmr, acid wash on sun and lights installation on wed. hopefully no changes from ID

o tat's not bad.. considered high floor too hmm not too sure whether they'll allow u to do tat..but i guess not. but perhaps u can go other flr look at ur neighbour's flats. tat's wat we did when we haven collect the keys. went up and down the entire blk tryin to c if we can go in to take a peek at our unit's layout. hee. this way can get to know ur neighbours too yap, gota start checkin for defects after collecting keys. i guess shld b in 2 mths time? tink tat time ours took abt 1.5 mths. u can start lookin ard for id now if u have time..cos it's a long process if u reali wana compare and go to a few ids i understand ur feelin..tat time i was also very excited.. cant wait to get the key..even no key every wk we stil go down to our place juz to see see look look from outside or go ard our blk haa o.. kind of u to do tat.. hopefully LTA will reali look into it and make it more convenient for all of us...

hello jjcian, hee long time no "talk".. been readin thru ur blog. great progress there and u guys stayin there permanently already? hee.. juz now i brought up the hairline crack prob to my painter..he mentioned tat due to the movements in the walls, bound to have cracks.. need some time for it to "settle down". but i told him the flats already been built for like 5-7 yrs lor. then i asked if let's say 6 mths down the rd this happens, can get them to come back to fix? he told me gota speak to id.. paintin they dun give warranty for such a long time cos my mum's place she oso havin this prob.. have u feedback to ur id yet?

ok, finally the 3D drawing for my living room hee.. this is the only computer 3D we've gotten but i tink the red shown here a bit too red.. ours according to id is not as bright.. more towards maroon. hopefully turns out to b gd.. we'll know tomorrow when paintin is completed hee do keep ur comments comin..

some updates yeah.. finally paintin starts today. last wk nothin much done.. only the gas pipes.. cos there was delay in paintin. painter mentioned can complete paintin by tomorrow.. lookin fwd to it hee. wil post pics soon

hi mud3210, sorry now then saw ur post..din reali keep track of this thread hee. anyway, my ID so far so gd.. not much of hiccups so far.. started reno only last mon.. and elect works, piping works, partition works, false ceiling.. basically all the structural works all done. now only left wif painting, installation of lights, heater etc and capentry works basically. i would say it's pretty fast and we're happy wif the progress so far hmm carpentry i cant comment now.. as for the workmanship on those partition works i would say both of us quite pleased wif it.. basically dun reali have complains on the workmanship so far hee. u can visit my blog to take a look.. though cant see much wif all the works goin on and the pics i posted stil before paintin..hee. tink paintin wil start today..so hopefully by wkend i can see nice progress

hmm i recalled a fellow forumer also had such prob.. it was after reno after the chemical wash too. myself i encountered it too.. but the whole groutin din come out.. after hdb did the groutin for us, we cleaned the floor..then i realised when i used my finger to rub on the grouting, there's b powdery stuff coming off.. so i feedback to hdb again.. then i 4gotten whether they got redo it for us or not.. but after tat when i rub, it din reali come off liao. wonderin is it cos the chemical wash a bit too strong for the floor.. did feedback to my id tat time and i tink he mentioned wil juz use mild one. so have u found a solution, henry?

MBR light BR 1 & 2 lights HSS & bathrooms lights but i dun reali like the lights we selected did it in quite a rush..cos actually ID bought us to geylang area to c lights..but found the lights in tat shop quite expensive..so end up we went to buy on our own..cos seen cheaper ones previously. but i tink the selection quite limited..and ID actually said this wk installin lights so by thur gota get them delivered. hi commando, hmm i'm not too sure abt the plastic ones leh.. u mean the black ones? cos we din ask them to replace.. for the joints.. as in the metal part joint which controls the openin and closin of the window (duno wat it's called), they only came to polish it wif oil or wat..cos it was oily after tat..tink they tried to remove the rust.. other than tat, they din do much to our windows. hmm for the glass panel in MBR toilet, tink tat time when we washed the floor already encountered such prob..i was stil askin hubby y the water wil seep out one.. then we thot it was meant to b.. i stil thot it wasnt as up to standard as those hotel ones whereby when we close the glass shower door, no water wil seep out. i tink can stil try to feedback to bsc c wat they say..

hi...juz some updates. went over to look at our place late at nite haa.. din bring any torchlight along too. luckily the light from the corridor was bright enuf to let us roughly see how was everythg can say tat ceiling works done, piping done, partition works mostly done. all the structural items are already up.. now reali excited..seein everythg in place already.. reali can picture better how the place is gona b like hee cant wait for reno to be completed! muz reali thank ID for following closely to the work schedule given to us or sometimes even ahead of it for tat.. hopefully the reno wil continue smoothly without hiccups some pics we took juz now..very bad quality cos of the darkness very messy too.. view of how false ceiling wil look like from door view from LR window LR partition which is also where our tv wil b our display niche in LR to provide support to sofa as well as to break the shape of the slanted wall

Hi norah, ID submitted application last fri..yday he told us it was approved. so i tink it was quite fast..less than a wk. tat was also wat he told us when we asked how long it'll take.. he said norm wil b fast, unless the officer in charge has some pending cases on hand. but juz a note tat ours is high flr as in 2nd last flr, so i duno if tat had a part to play.. mayb hackin tat wall not as much of a threat compared to lower flrs? not too sure abt tat.. ok, thanks alexter...wil take a look on how to hide it.. i tink esp urs.. i rem u've hidden urs very well hee. but id said he'll arrange the aircon man to come down to do the installation and run the trunkings..so tink i'll also feedback to him to get it done in the best way to hide those trunkings
