Hello, before moving you should pack an overnight bag containing all essential, pack all the stuff in the boxes with labels so that you can identify them and handle with care. It's bad to hear that, few movers do not bother about the working quality they just mean to make money. Though that reminds me of my uncle's shifting to our town.
