  1. Hmm. For the sliding doors, we use tinted black glass. As such, you can see our inner carcass of the wardrobe clearly. For the bi-fold doors, we opt for a black mirror finishing door. We use it as our full length mirror, just that we can't really see the original Colour of the images since it is black in Colour. Hope that helps
  2. Hi, i doubt bank transfer will work as it will require an account in Germany. It will be safer also for you to opt for PayPal so that you can file for dispute if there are any problems with you order. Best to make your order early to prevent any hiccups during shipping. I know SingPost is the local courier for insani24 and trust me they are not relaibile at all.
  3. @honeybunny We had planned for this Fishtank to spruce up our simple living room. In fact, this is one of the requirement given to my ID. I am no expert in this as this aspect is solely taken care by my hubby. But I managed to find the box for the lights! We are able to adjust the Spectrum and intensity of the light. Because this fish tank is quite huge, this light is also able to emit deep penetrating light to reach the carpet grass! i love spending time looking at the cute Yamato shrimps eating away in the tank! If there is any more questions, I can help u ask my hubby
  4. Some pictures to update since we moved in Living room Kitchen
  5. So we had moved in for about three months and we finally started working on our fish tank!
  6. Wow. Didn't know the fabric will look so different under different lights! Now u make me feel excited for my own curtains! Vincent seems to be doing so well that it took him almost three weeks to do the curtains! are you still on target to move in next week?
  7. Hello~ Dining chairs in this picture are temporary.
  8. @niel85. Starting any T-blog to share the joy? There are still defects waiting to be rectify but I guess I am at a point where I cant wait to move in. I am prepared to close both eyes if required. We had arrange tons of deliveries to be in this Sat! We should be "moving in" by next Tuesday with only our essentials!!!! CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Today was cleaning day! Though there are rectifying works to be done, we decided to vacuum and mop the whole place for the first time. Now it feels a lot more comfortable. We also met up with Vincent who is highly recommended in Renotalk. We decided to do both day and night curtains for living room and all bedrooms as our flat faces the opposite block directly.. We were really tempted to take the more fanciful designs but they do not really fit in our simple house. In the end, we decided on the simple dark grey fabric for all rooms and white day curtain.
  10. @northblue @neeganisgod Hi both, my total reno excluding electrician cost is about low 40k. . We burst our budget! Shall pm you the ID only when I had finished the renovation as we still have quite a bit of rectifying work to be done!
  11. I am a very lazy person by nature. Going out to shop makes me tired easily. Hence, I turned toward internet shopping specially Amazon for my home stuff. Below are some of the hoots I got Next up : Taobao Buys!
  12. @slashmylove Thanks for liking our house! =). The beam above the window is done by HDB while the one at the aircon was box-up by us to hide the aircon piping.
  13. So we are currently at a stage where rectifying works are in process. As of date, our renovation works took around two months. To be my fair to my ID, we waited for a week for the aircon to be up. So yesterday was cleaning day and my ID went up to check on the progress. Pictures ahead!!! Same old living room (Fish tank to be up in mid Dec!) I like my living room to be super bright but do not like false ceiling. So we over-killed on the number of track lights so much that my ceiling looked super 'busy'. We decided to remove some of them, having only 3 track lights per 2M track. Kitchen Common bathroom Initially, we did not want to have this partition sliding doors. I personally do not like the look of it. We brainstormed with our ID for prettier ways to have wet and dry areas in the toilet but those ways either compromised on the bathing area or will allowed some water to get into the dry area. So we gave up and went for the typical sliding doors. . Common Bedrooms ( one was with the integrated table) Master Toilet Handover day, please come as soon as possible!
  14. love your master room toilet feature wall!! Will copy your design if I had seen it earlier!
  15. Hi Kittykty~ BSC claimed that they had engaged external party for the painting services and had used paint for the exterior surfaces already. Yet it still peeled.. Oh well, We were also afraid that our washing machine will spoil over time because of the exposure of rain and sun. So we put the windows in the end.
  16. A quick update on a busy Tuesday again because I can't wait to share my beautiful wardrobe
  17. I know right~ I nearly wanted to make it as a balcony. Sadly, as it is unblocked, the paint started to peel. We got the BSC to rectify it for countless time till we gave in and built windows to shelter them from the unfriendly weather.
  18. It's had been such a busy week for work that it took my mind off the renovations. With my hubby off on a work trip, we basically left our ID to rectify and finish off the work. Meanwhile, a old picture of the nicest view I can get from our house~
  19. haha. I guess for every renovation, there bound to be some "what if?" and " I should have done this and that" situations. Oh well, look on the bright side, maybe this is a sign that we can grow our family to a bigger size faster?
  20. Could not settle down to do work so I decided to come in to update on the few appliances that we had got over the past few weekends mainly the TV, washing machine and fridge. I can say at this point of time, we were a little tired of burning up our weekends to run errands for the house. We are both stay-at-home person so this is really taking a toll on us. All we wanted is a comfy home to stay in. We kinda listened to the sales person and got whichever appliances that he recommended. We do not really have a brand in mind to get except for LG TV. As a result, we got all stuff from LG. Of course, it does not help that LG is running a bundle promotion. We got a free cordless vacuum for the following items: 1) 55 Inch TV (55UH615A ). We are unsure that if it is too big for our living room considering that the distance between the TV and sofa is 2m. We did for a moment even considered buying 65 inch. 2) 11 kg Top load Washer (WFT1181DD). Now that we think about it, we should not have brought this washer. We had only three people in our household and we got this monster.. 3) 400L Bottom freezer fridge (GB-B5191PZ). Once again, we got overkilled for getting such a big fridge for our small household. I doubt we will be buying lot of grocery as we have a supermarket just at our carpark. Well, we certainty learned from our mistake and will not repeat them on our next house.
  21. Hi! The following were what I had brought. They were fitted in just last Saturday. My ID did not call me to report on anything so I figured they were working fine. Even if they do not fit, I guess your plumber could find an adapter for it. Oh but we did encountered a problem that our rainshower was too long for the master toilet as we had to box up the aircon pipping (My unit was on the highest floor so there was no initial pipes for hdb to box up). In the end , the plumber had to cut off a bit to fit in and attach to the wall. I had found both the rainshower set and kitchen tap retailing in singapore so I feel safe ordering them from the net. I took my chances with the toilet taps as I could not really find nice tall taps for the toilets locally. Hope that helps!. One thing I never regret with this renovation it to spend this money on the taps and rainshower
  22. Just a random short update as I was feeling bored today. Before getting the keys, our mantra was always to get only the required but of high quality items. so today, we shall talk about taps and rainshower etc. I have always dreamt to have toilets like those in the hotels. Dark comfortable toilet with marble walls, grohe tap and accessories but alas, we do not have so much money to burn. And so we compromised. Things that touches water and require effort to replace, we went for quality while the rest we sourced from tmall. Searching through, we gradually realised that grohe items that were make in Germany cost quite a fortune in singapore. We did not want to get the lower end grohe which was make in Thailand. As such, we decided to source them from the internet specifically insani24 website. we got ourselves the following at a steal of 1.5k 1) 2 rain showers with thermostats 2) 2 high taps for the toilet 3) 1 kitchen tap The items had arrived and they were really solid and heavy. Best part is I can have hot water in our toilet basin. I really considered these to be my best buys!
  23. Hi, this is from casearstone, vanilla noir. Price wise, it is slightly higher at about $200+ per feet.
  24. Ktichen and Toilet Tops are put in today! I could not wait for the renovation to finish. Current look for the house:
