u mentioned the headboard sharing the toilet wall , wats the otherside of that wall ?? does it have the wash basin or the shower set or the putty bowl ? no picture is kind of hard to imagine, i think if u r concern u can only either opt for the FS master to look see look see. or u decide which is the less painfull option for me , i will a) choose another room b) share the toilet wall c) under beam

Is Window Grill Necessary?
chiang replied to star77's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
heyhoe, u find already , must tell me hor , i see if i can stire up any interest in my neighbourhood. thanks -
dun worry too much of toilet in the centre to solve your problem , u should a) install KDK ventilation fan - read up mace blog - this will clear the smell b) install good lightings both inside and the light diretly outside the toilet door c) close the door when not in use , and cover the toilet bowl when not in use d) light scented candles - not those big big candles , those small small candles , incase u forgot to extinguish it , at least there is not much to burn . if u still not happy d) paint the walls of the toilet red to counter the water flow. e) install spa like bathing facilities - see the hansgrohe if u really really not happy then consult a FS master n buy some exp stuff from them , hahahahahahahaah dun worry too much , FS has evolved much since the traditional days, and u can always google around for ideas. once u understand the reason behind , u will be able to see the solutions .

Is Window Grill Necessary?
chiang replied to star77's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
i m caught in the same situation like yours, PIL highlighted grills , i dun like grills , cause new year i got to help to clean , hahahahahahaha. then got children dangerous la , blablablalbllb n the rest u will know how. so thanks to mace (great info of his blog , must read) , i learn that can change the windows both sliding n casement to those with key to locks , hahahaha inital quote to do entire area with grill = 1800 now grill for service year and window locks for the rest = 900. i save half , if future got kids , then future say lor. the locks i m looking at are like these , http://www.buylocks.co.uk/product_category.php?cid=9 btw if any of u kind people saw such locks , pls tell me thanks a million http://shop.yale.co.uk/acatalog/Window_Security.html P117 - Ventilation Window Lock -
some experience with citygas items , just thot of sharing with u , u need to arrange in this order 1) call citygas n ask their technician to come down to tell u where to place the dryer / gas heater 2) make sure there is a connecting point in beams for the gas pipe to either your gas heater or gas dryer 3) if no connecting point , ask them where they will drill, if its thru aluminium door frame , when the thing come crashing down , who is liable??? that frame can be comes to 400 for replacement. i stay in bedok central n engage their city gas - gas water heater , the end result is it will go thru my aluminium door frame n this frame can fall off. i give up after going thru all this ordeal and decided to use instant water heater after spending 2 seperate days of 3 hrs to go thru the drama.

hello people , I need some advice on this window grill thing, actually i m very sad hahahahha. the need of installing grills n live in bird cage once again, plunge me back to sad sad world. the reason for the grills, is for safety reasons of itchy child opening window when no 1 is around , n get hurt in the process. short of putting up this notice ( dogs n children not allow ) when i invite friends over , i have no choice but install grills lor. I m getting a flat soon n it comes with 3/4 height window for living room , half height for rest of rooms. The rest of the rooms , these windows have a lock switch, but for the living room window no such function. I need help on these 2 ideas a) is it possible to install locks soley on the living room windows? any of you explore these options? b) is it possible to install grills with jumping gaps ? eg of window grill [_________________] [_________________] [ ] [ ] [_________________] [_________________] [_________________] thanks for your time to share with me how i can evade the possibility of caging up myself. lawrence

hahahaa, i am thinking that the door sort of make the place smaller , hence without the dooor its easier to do things like washing clothes , also with the shower head at the inner part of the bathroom the semi glass shower screen can block 80% of the water splash.
