  1. Think I'm a bit late but I have the exact same door for my bathrooms and it's just a vague image unless u press urself against the glass. Nothing much to see from outside just shadows.
  2. Hi Hi, The shelves in your bomb shelter, u remember the shop name or address u bought the shelving from. Does the price include installation? I assume should be quite sturdy right.
  3. I thought so too but the sales person gave me this (what? Are you stupid look) and told me they are different. Was wondering if that is true....
  4. Just call with your door dimensions ready and quote the door model number and the salesperson will tell you the price. Beware though, the sales person all seem to have a bit of attitude.
  5. Which doors did u get? Can see pic? Was wondering about the quality.
  6. Oh you went there too? But I found the nytoh/glass door pricing (same like the one in a few posts above) was quite reasonable at $340.
  7. Actually I bought my hob, hood and oven from mayer @ IMM recently, not sure if the sales person you met was the same one I deal with? The guy who served us was called Gary and even thought we walked in at 9.20pm, he still served us. We eventually made a purchase after asking him several questions and he even took the time to gave me coupons for the baking classes and photocopy the baking classes schedule even though all the other shops had closed. By the time we left it was already 10.10pm. Wonder if it was the same person? The only bad points that hit us was he was a bit lor sor and his voice was dead pan.
  8. I found doors' plus quite expensive and the opening hours on their website is not updated. They're closed at 6pm on weekdays and 1pm on sat. I went to Yon Tat on sat and saw their normal standard solid nyatoh door with ironmongory at $220 and if you want to change the round door handle to the liong type add $10 so icarus your quote is expensive. Here's yon tat's website: http://www.yontat.com.sg/ Beware though, the salesperson, a lady got this 'u owe me money' black face but you can call to inquire about pricing by quoting the door model and your measurements.
  9. Maybe by then they can do intergrated sink. Ended up buying a composite granite sink yesterday.
  10. No $900+ is for the normal HDB approved ones since we're not a unit next to staircase or lift, not necessary to have fire rated door. Also went to doorplus yesterday and found it expensive as well, chlow, can tell me the sungei kadut address? Want to go and look as well. TIA!
  11. Toys r us also have them and I find them cheaper than the DIY shop's prices.
  12. Went on sat and the sales person, a lady had this 'we owe u money face' not interested in doing sales of any kind. She quoted $900+ for 3x7 & 1x7 dimensions for front door veneer in walnut. Wonder if this is reasonable?
  13. Got a reply from builder's shop on the intergrated sink but they're not keen to do an intergrated sink. The salesperson passed the phone to the boss and the boss explained about possible problems of water leakage, growth of mould due to all the extra joints as the granite/sileston comes in slabs etc. Final verdict was better to buy a sink. Was feeling quite disappointed.
  14. someone posted this on another forum/thread but thought it would be useful in your query abt pricing: Goh Ah Bee Blk 210 Hougang St 21 #01-247 Singapore 530210 Tel: 6288 8611/ 6280 3962 Mega Discount Store 101 Thomson Road United Square #B1-56 Singapore 307591 Tel: 6254 7998 *spam Electrical Blk 159 Ang Mo Kio Ave 4 #01-534 Singapore 560159 Tel: 6458 2531 Paris Silk Store 7 Transit Rd Singapore 778884 Tel: 6452 1593 Maximum Credit -Blk 506 Jurong West St 52 #01-192 Singapore 640506 Tel: 6569 3331 -Blk 139 Teck Whye Lane 1 #01-333 Singapore 680139 Tel: 6763 3331 Hong Liang Electrical Blk 123 Bukit Merah Lane 1 #01-70 Singapore 150123 Tel: 6273 6109
  15. Think the standard is 6ft slab. You can call to inquire for larger sizes. I'm doing my kitchen counter top at builder's shop in changi south and they can cut larger slabs as long as they have stocks available. Felt the price there quite reasonable too.
  16. I'm in love with your house. Love the magazine rail in toilet idea, will make one for our toilet too. Can pass me your carpenter's contact?
  17. My kitchen cabinets come up to $95/ft. Can look at the quote over here: http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj9/cyp.../Carpentary.jpg
  18. I'm currently trying to work with Builder's shop on the 4th floor to do my granite kitchen counter top. Not sure if it's the same shop but the building is the same one. Thought the price was quite reasonable. Black galaxy granite top 2cm thickness at 37.16/ft (min order 10 ft), $80/hole (e.g. for sink, stove etc), $350 per order for installation. Wish we found this shop earlier could have saved so much for the tiles (50% cheaper than the tile shop our contractor brought us to) but too late.
  19. Looking for contacts to replace main door and nytoh room and toilet doors? Found the contact for Doors Plus: http://www.doorsplus.com.sg/ Any one bought anything from doors plus before? Any feedback on after sales service, installation? Any other contacts to recommend? Want to compare prices. TIA.
  20. I think most of us learn the hard way after renovating the house for the first time so it's good to seek advise on renotalk before making any major decisions. After the first time, we will be wiser and more cautious when renovating our house in the future. As for granite tops and tiles I have learnt it is best to go the the bigger shops to look and compare prices. I found out that I could save 2K plus if I went direct as the costs for black galaxy granite is only$37.16/ft verses the $150/ft my contractor quoted. Installtion is $350 and every hole you need to cut (e.g. sink etc) is $80. Quite significant savings.
  21. Alright will post here once they get back to me, I just sent an email yesterday to inquire. On the other hand do you want to send me a picture link and your dimensions so I can inquire on your behalf? I'm also looking at two sinks for the common toilet 500x 600mm (Under Mount) & 500x 500mm (Top Mount) but not too sure what the dept of toilet sinks should be. Don't want something too shallow as we like a reasonably deep sink.
  22. We're looking at a 37 inch TV as well. Agree that it's a good size especially for rectangular living rooms like mine.
  23. Will look out at IT fair, yes looking our for Tv, dryer, stove, oven and cooker hod. Oh forgot to ask how many inches is your toshiba
