  1. PMed you. Sorry for the late reply as I seldom check my blog nowadays. Any questions can PM me straight away.
  2. Sorry for the late reply. It's on the floor (forgot 4th or 5th floor) just beside the foodcourt. It's run by a couple of fellas (one almost bald uncle and 1 young chap). Think the name of the shop starts with 'Z'. I bought my PES2008 there for $69 only!
  3. Got PS3 Pro Evolution Soccer 2008? Maybe can have a friendly online. Play-asia games are actually quite expensive if you compare them to the game shops in Funan. Eg. MGS4 Asia version, Play-asia sells for S$82.50 but in Funan, can get it from S$71.
  4. Sorry for the late reply, ryuki. The PD doors cost 280 but it can go higher with more colours and material.
  5. Haha... Too many things on hand for him. I was hoping he'll forget my final payment too.
  6. Yup, he's quite busy as a senior manager. He also does landed property renovations too. One thing I like about him is no matter how busy he is, you can always reach him and inform him of your concern.
  7. Looking good there, Dracula. You must be keeping Derek busy until he haven't come to collect the final 20% payment from me.
  8. Yup, my family not heavy cooker so we left out the hood. Thanks for your compliment, tweetie76. I only got this flat on my second balloting exercise but still considered lucky liao.
  9. It's almost the same quality with normal bifold doors. Only difference is that PD doors have more variety and you can mix and match colours and designs. So far so good for my PD doors.
  10. Yes, I have a fridge. It's at the corner beside the bar-top eating area. If you see the 1st few of my posts, can see the kerb for the fridge.
  11. You mean with my current ID? My renovation is completed and all was well. ID was responsible throughout the renovation and workmanship was great. Any defects you see, just report to the ID and he'll get it fixed asap. If you want me to intro him to you, feel free to PM me. I've intro a few forumers to him liao.
  12. Went to them for quotation but in the end didn't choose them. Read my blog for the details.
  13. Thanks, jaCKY777. Sofa (high back) S$868 Coffee table S$349 Rug S$129 LG 32LB9R1 S$1019 Rug was bought from Courts in Tampines as there's more variety over there. The sofa and coffee table were bought from Brighton. It's nearby Blk 79. Cross the road behind Shop 'n' Save and walk 5 mins or so and you'll reach Brighton (beside the new storage factory). The 32" LG TV was bought from Best in Vivocity, inclusive of delivery and installation.
  14. I'm in Blk A. I've been living in Blk A for almost a week now and no power trip so far.
  15. Good luck to your renovation. Hope that Derek serves you well too.
  16. Thanks, Wildreds2. Definitely more relieve now and no need to rush. Hope more neighbours more in soon too.
  17. People are more educated nowadays thus not scared of the police anymore. Police go up to a person and next thing you hear, the person will say "I know law hor..." or "later I complain to your superior". As a service orientated job, police are most afraid of complain. Complain = no pay raise and promotion for 3 years for police officer. So you think police like to be proactive and make a report in everything they see? Same thing applies in jobs such as teacher. In the past, teachers can give you one tight slap if you made a grief a mistake. Now, one slap and you can say bye bye to your job. It's a realistic life, you work like a horse throughout your life, kanna 1 complain and that's it. That's why there's a police recruitment drive. Police officers are quitting and nobody is signing up. Trust me, one day our police officers will be foreigners soon.
  18. Thank you. But with all those stuff, it makes my MBR rather squeezy. I have to roll over the bed just to get to the other side to use my PC. The PC table costs S$438.
  19. I think we as residents should do our part because it's our neighbourhood too. If any of see any of the students, we should take note of their uniform and send their school an email or something. If the student were caught by police, the officers will at most take down their names and school and give them a warning. No reports would be made at all unless there's act of mischief, vandalism or other offences etc.
  20. Nice one, hanni06. I actually wanted to do a mirror-like feature wall too but I didn't wanted to see myself in the mirror while watching tv. Completed Renovation Finally, internet access is back and most importantly, renovation is completed and furnitures are all in. I do agree that renovation is no east feat and I'm glad that I have a responsible ID to help me throughout the renovation process. (thinking of which, I still owe them 20% final payment ) Here's some photos of the completed areas (still quite messy with boxes and misc stuff) Shoe cabinet bought from Brighton. 2 chairs bought from Courts. Bathroom accessories bought from Luxury Bath Studio. L-shaped sofa and coffee table bought from Brighton, carpet from Courts. All furniture fro mBrighton. LG TV from Best. (32LB9R1 costing S$1019 with delivery and installation).
  21. Would be the same ID company as mine if you chose Unimax. My flat almost completed liao. Who's the ID that you went to chat with?
  22. Thanks, glenn. Good luck to your quotation!
  23. Thanks for all your advices. Settled on Superior Service and Transport for my movers. Damage is 250.
  24. Liverpool fan here too! Tonight they shall once again conquer Chelsea! Once question here. I'm moving into Blk 79 this coming Sunday. Checked out a few movers and was quoted between 200 - 300 for the minor moving (mainly 1 fridge, 1 washing machine, 3 queensize mattresses and other misc stuff in boxes). One company did said that if mattress cannot fit into lift and need to use the stairs, it would cost an extra 10 per flight of stair?! What is the norm for charging movers? Anyone can confirm this and any other things I should look out for?
