Heehee, ya lor...... When dating, during V day, gals selling roses approached him? I asked for it and you know, he ask and told me, "Tell me, if these roses besides being pretty, are they practical? Can they be eaten? If you said yes, I buy for you." I told him yes (think of rose tea, and food cooked with rose petals) but the thing is we both know it is impossible to cultivate my rose to be edible, thus, after that I never ask from him. Hey, LL, you yesterday not around huh? Ya, we human always asking for more and more.. But wat I want is only a bit more of sensitivity from him, that's all. I did not attend any pre marriage course. Now thinking of going for marriage counselling, but I know he will not attend. Coz he always say that the problems lay with me alone, not him. So I really can't do much. Hi chew@PPLe, I am very pessimistic one. I wanted to call off a few times since last year but always endure towards the end. He isn't too bad, only MCP, some attitude problems towards me but still he saves and provided the basic protection and stuff to me. Sometimes, I feel that I may be on the wrong side as I cannot control on my spendings (which I am responsible for it myself) and the way I talk. I am quite talkative which he doesnt like, haha. Anyway, since a couple, try to be together towards the end. This is the chinese saying. I may get hurt, cry a bit, complain to closest pple around me but towards the end still stay together with him. Dear all, Thanks for your concern. My husband understands as I ever told him if he is not around (biz trips), I miss him and feel more freedom. So he asked me to sponsor him go on trip. Told him he doesn't even provide allowance, how to sponsor??? Well, as mentioned, he gave excuses that we are unable to go on any trips coz of son and I just came back from a short training trip in Jan. No $$$ to go travelling with gf also. Anyway, it seems like these few days he is much better, give me freedom to go gym (signing up gym) and go out with friends when he goes and fetch our darling son from MIL hse. Previously he will let me do the fetching trips by myself while he got home early to chill out by himself. Only minus factor is that if I reach home after 10.00pm, he will asked me why I so late. Hee, but still, better than nothing! We are both faithful to each other although we sometimes get tired of each other. But still, I do hope that he can be sensitive enough to certain small issues and stop comparing me to his IQ (or those career ladies out there) as well as looking down on my earnings. Will keep trying hard to maintain good relationship with him, our extended families and my friends.

I will go for Platinum if my diamond is at least 0.40cts which will make me wear everyday. If lower than 0.40cts and I do not really wear everday, then white gold will be good enough for me. It also depends on quality of diamond. If dia very good quality, will set it in plat. If dia average quality, white gold setting also can. most important, the setting must be of a design I love.

He is a homeboy, prefers his computer than me as it does not nag and provide useful informations whereas I nag (a lot) and does not provide as good info. I think when a diamond cutter going to cut one diamond, they estimated how big the finished cut diamond will weight. If they are around 1 Carat, they will most probably cut less out and try to keep it to at least 1 Carat finish cut Diamond. Reason being, if they cut below 1cts, (0.90-0.99) they will not earn a lot. Diamond prices 'Jump' a price range every 0.50cts. (eg, this is only example hor, I dunno what is market rate now. If you compare a 0.49cts to a 0.51cts, although difference only 0.02cts, the price maybe be maybe 0.8K more for 0.51cts as they are over the 1/2 cts range. But if you get 0.49cts, it still looks about same as 0.51 size but you can buy at much lower price. If talking about 1cts and 0.9cts, the price jump even higher. Maybe double of the example I showed on 0.51cts & 0.49cts case. So of coz, Those pple will rather tell cutter to try cut at least 1cts and not lesser than that. Hope you can understand this explanation. LL, as for your case, you should go for just ultrasonic wash on your rings/bands. You just need to wait for a few mins for them to wash and blow dry (wat I mentioned about diy in earlier post). This one no need pay $$. If you tell them you find your ring very dull/ change colour/ scratches, etc. That is term as 'polishing', will take a few days to be sent to HQ. What they do, they will polish away the scratches (if there is any, this will thinner the ring/ band by a bit). Then, they will replate it with 1 or 2 coats of white gold / platinum, and do the necessary cleaning to make them shine and look new. Dun to manual manpower needed in this case, there will be repair service charges. Maybe now higher coz a few years back, one ring only around $20 - $25. Anyway, LL, I do believe you love how your wedding bands look now after the repolishing rite?

But now, who cares? all look so pretty, celestier more facets than BR, so Actually my hubby wanted to get a destinee one for me (when dating I already keep talking about wanting a destinee). I not greedy told him only need get around 0.35cts. Then, when to LH outlet, got my ex colleague served me, he wanted to see destinee, but colleague recommended HRD Certified (Normal one lar) E col, VVS1 with very excellent grading on the whole 0.32cts diamond at a more than 50% discount (Feb promo). Actually depends on how you wear. Normally for me is wear out and when home, take off and keep in box (sometimes can even throw around the house. Mind small and cheap one only so can do that). I ever saw my aunts solitaire ring, wore to gardening, wash clothes, dishes, car, simply do hard work while wearing the ring. Less than 1 month, brought to my then LH outlet ask y so bad quality. I saw it looked as if wore for more than 5yrs. Told her not ring fault, its her fault. Anyway, manage to get her change a new one and educate her on how to take care of jewellery. Anyway, best keep after trying tonight, till your ROM. Coz if you wear now, later next Saturday your hubby wear for you at ROM, not shiok anymore. Hey hey, u both spent 10 and 20k worth of diamond ring but how come none tell us about the size one? So secretive, both of you! About cleaning diamond jewellery, Get a cup of tap water mix with dishwasher detergent (depend on the load of jewellery you washing lar). soak jewel for 5-10mins to loosen the dirt. then use a soft small toothbrush to brush gently underneth and the parts where you find will accumulate dirt. brush anywhere you like but if brush on the gold itself, not too hard hor, or else will leave scratches. Later just rinse, dry and if you like instant brightness, blow dry jewel with hot air from hair dryer for awhile. Alternatively, bring back to the jeweller get them clean for you. whole process takes a few mins only. Otherwise, since you both so rich, can go get an ultrasonic jewelery cleaner (there is a shop in IMM selling) and do the best diy of 'jewellery outlet cleaning style' yourselves at home.

After two weeks there, I got transfered out (again) together with her (going to different outlets) and some others. We went KTV on last night after our shift as a farewell gathering. In fact after we left LH (me to my studies, hers and the other close colleague to their future career after their bond ended), we met up once and then after never contact anymore till I check out her here. Oh, this is always a sad case. Anyway, if he is good or been in this jewellery line for long, you will most possible see him in other jewel company(ies). They will normally stay in this trade or if not, most time will be in other retail lines. This is what I have observe so far. For me, stayed less than 2yrs, plan to settle thus went for further studies then to office job. Maybe also I not so much into sales talk thats why.

These last 2 years ones are the worst. The one in 2005, he has to be outstationed. Even asked me to set alarm clock to wake me up then I inturn wake him. He was unhappy coz I came back from overseas training for two weeks plus before CNY, 1st weekend rest at home and 2nd one went facial and shopping for everyone's clothes. So the very last free day is CNY eve and he expects me to stay home instead i went to my granny's hse which is a must for me as I will not have time to go there during CNY and she is the one who brought me up! Anyway, there is a saying, 'you get what you choose and there is no turning back or complaining'. He is actually not bad, homely guy, basic provider who only do/gets what he wants with bad attitude. I also have my fault for nagging at him sometimes. Haiz, I have to 'ren' for the rest of my life with him.

Rem last time under LH, there were 2 Platinum Gold outlets(1 in WestMall & the other in Specialist Shp centre). They open more branches of CG to taget younger crowd. Think of once, there was Aspial and LH outlets around SG. Now is LH and CG. Then a few yrs back, Goldheart bought over by LH (GH was owned by a HK co) and now three under one Aspial Corp. YOu got wrong liao. i bought own cake, he promise to wait for it to be delivered to home and pay for it. and that day was CNY eve and he angry with me for not spring cleaning hse (mop floor lar) and went out to granny's hse. Then later that evening, when suppose to light candle sing bday song, he told son he not free (even for max 1 min singing? And actually, I know he angry with me.). So I was very hurt and return the $$ to him. Take it as I bought my own bday cake for ownself. He has not celebrated for me for 3yrs (incl 2007) and I always take a point to celebrate his. Very upsetting hor.

Not really at suntec lar. only attached to that outlet for a month and that was quite few years back. As for the service part, seems like most of you are not happy with LH staff now. I am not sure how good those sales staff at leehwa are like nowadays. But when I joined in my early twenties, we have to go back to HQ for training and courses. Even product intro internal competition within different branch staff. It was fun and fulfilling. Every month, there will be two different mystery shoppers walked in pretend to buy from us and do survey on the 'lucky' staff. Hee, I was 'lucky' for slightly more than 10times throughout my going to 2yrs stay there (diff outlets) and around 3times, I was rated poorly due to back services. Haa, we will get reprimanded. Anyway, not all LH, GH & CG staff are like that. Those 'old birds' who are before or around my batch will be quite good, only maybe under stress as most of them now are of higher posts. The rest of new generation, I am not too sure as right after I left, the whole company undgo some changes.
