  1. Very very well. It has auto dry sensor that will stop when the load is dry..... but when you don't collect the clothes, it will continue to heat it ocassionally so that the clothing remains fluffy. The estimated time indicator helps as well. My wife is very pleased with the investment.
  2. Yes... they do. In fact, I find the fabrics very nice. They also sell spare fabric covers with different pattern designs and colours.... so once awhile, when you change your covers... it will be as if you changed a new set of sofa! Ha ha.... Their designs are quite basic... nothing to shout about honestly... but the quality is there and price is very reasonable.
  3. Sorry... this is my Kitchen bin.... wrong pix earlier. Main door unit numbers... Living room main lights from Nan Wah... A hidden painting surprise behind a ceiling beam... only visible when you walk out of the common rooms or common toilet...
  4. Haha.... ok... here's the picture of my broken wall.... I was originally so irritated by the narrow living room that I had. I wanted a big living space. But when I looked at the drawings (after signing the papers leow!), I saw that it was possible to shift the wall.... making a relatively large common room into a smaller one... either for single bed or as a study. This is the "after reno" shot, from about the same angle! My new living/dinning room shots....paiseh...dinning table a but messy. More pictures... Hood and Hob Kitchen Cabinets Sink area...with washer and dryer Fridge... Kitchen bin... Kitchen paintings... Kitchen door open... Kitchen door closed... Master room door... love the texture! Common room doors and walkway PD doors for toilets... Master bathroom... Vanity cabinet... Rain shower... Common toilet (with seat bought from UK) and basin Built-in wardrobe and dresser.. Common room Art and Mirror combo in between dinning and living area...
  5. Haha... can't keep hogging ur t-blog mah... I will post after reno pictures tmw.... imageshack very busy now... can't host pictures. Wait till u see how we transform the place.... it was really quite a dump when we got it. These a couple of my during reno pictures...including the shifting of my common bedroom wall to enlarge my living room. Sorry, didn't take a lot of pictures... was more worried about my reno than taking photos. Reno started officially on 3 Jan 2008... Can't host the second picture... guess I will do so tmw then.
  6. These are pictures of our place before reno sometime in Nov 2007...
  7. Ha ha... then whatever we have now are the only ones left. So we'll have technology that no one will have after 5-10 years. Don't see any harm in that as long as they honor my warranty. A plasma can easily last for 10 years anyway. Its about time that the market decide on one technology. It will not impact us today, but the future for flat screens will be much brighter! Who knows, with enough R&D, LCDs may look even better and far superior in every way in 5 years time! Meanwhile... lets spend a minute moaning for Plasma's eventual death and celebrate the era of flat screens that it has brought us.
  8. Nothing really comes "FOC".... all the vouchers and freebees would have been factored into the price. I rather get a direct price reduction rather than having to deal with different vouchers. Do read earlier messages in this thread.... call up places like CEC, Goh Ah Bee, Hong Liang...etc. to ask for quotes on the specific TV models that you are targeting. Very little effort.... but could potentially get you a better deal and save you a few hundred bucks. To me, places like Best Denki, Courts, Harvey Norman.... are places where I window shop for the right models.... then I start making my calls to the neighbourhood shops for a better quote. Ohh... and don't trust Audio House's "guarantee" of the "lowest price in town". Most times (not on every product I must admit), I am able to find a better deal elsewhere! But I guess they are betting that very few people will take the effort to compare prices after a purchase with them. Besides, I am not sure how one can conclusively "prove" that it is a better deal and ask them to pay back the difference. Why bother? Just do some homework and buy from elsewhere.
  9. if u can wait...why not? I bought mine at SITEX as well. Good luck!
  10. Best Denki is never a place for good deals in my experience. If u know the model that u want, try Clementi Electronics Centre... look for Joe... he should be able to give u a good deal. CEC is quite famous for having good deals on flat screens.... I have compared many shops... CEC usually have the best quotes.... no harm trying. U can find their contacts via Google.
  11. Here u go... I find the prices and quality at Seahorse Hecom fairly reasonable. But designs are subjective. Do checkout their showrooms to judge for yourself.
  12. Hmm.....dono how to determine good or bad... all I know is, if I can't tell the difference visually, I will not pay extra for it. IMHO.... I would try not to get too sucked up into comparing the statistics....afterall... when it is in my home... there is no other TV to compare it with. I like Samsung cause the exterior looks sleak.
  13. Hoe Kee, Poh Joo, Royal Franco... these are the common places to shop for such things....reasonable pricing. I saw in Hoe Kee the 30L Ariston storage heater at $229. FYI.
  14. Biggest show room is at Compass Point. Tiong Bahru plaza branch also not bad in their range. My L-shaped sofa is under $500... but I bought another set of spare covers at $98. Happy hunting!
  15. wow.. it does seem like a good deal! Any pictures to share?
  16. Hey u r rite! Went there yesterday and traffic was totally manageable!
  17. Hey hey... very nice place.... esp considering you did it pretty fast! Any pictures of ur kitchen and bedrooms to share? Wife and I not particular about sound system so we did not install any. Happy we our TV speakers for the time being. Hope we won't regret this decision down the road.
  18. Think it should be the one before the Shell station. Would have gone on a shopping trip to JB today... but changed our minds considering the possible heavy jam at the causeway.
  19. Ok here is the contact for the JB shop (the shophouses before you reach Southern City): Loh Trading 394, Batu 3 1/2, Jalan Tebrau (Depan Kem Majidee), 80250, Johor Babru Tel: 07-3321596
  20. Got mine from Defu Furniture at TradeHub21. Not really a bargain at $430 but I guess it is reasonably priced for Singapore.
  21. Thanks. Do post more pictures of ur place when u have the chance.
  22. Move in was smooth enough but still got a few little issues to solve with contractor. Now in HK on business. As for pictures... check out this thread... where I have uploaded some... including the main painting I bought from ShenZhen: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=12521
  23. In the states now on a business trip. Will get the contact for u when I get back next week. No, they don customise but they have several models and sizes (5 to 7ft) ... all very nice.
  24. Hey Wilberforce, haven't seen any updates from you..... how was your reno?? Mine is about 98% complete and we have moved into bishan.
  25. Sigh... too late leow... they already drilled it in. You better make sure you ask the curtain supplier if your curtains can be fully opened and not blocked by the wooden pole support. Best if they can sketch out how your curtains will look like open and close so that there will be no misunderstandings. Ya... I think it is a silly excuse too.... but I will have to learn to live with it.
