Hi @studioflatter, For Q1, I don't think it's worth doing it cause it's quite exp. Q2, I don't think you can install sprinklers at house cause need piping (Water) for the sprinklers. Instead of sprinkler, you can get a small extinguisher (1kg type) for safekeeping. If I don't remember wrongly, the insurer for HDB fire accident insurance (forget the name, haha) got give those for free when you sign up for the insurance (I'm not too sure whether still got anot). AND Yeah!!! Counting down one year to completion of my flat.. Haha.. But stressed over the renov fees, hahah..

If this is how ppl "branded" the 2 roomers + Rental Unit tenants, then I must be both already (mishaps? and twisted). Cause I'm currently staying in a 1-room rental, and I'm applying a 2-room with my dad. Plus, I'm staying in the most happening estate in Singapore, YISHUN!!!! Why go bother you into thinking what other ppl thinks? Unless you yourself think the same as well. Then in this case, I will agree with sis mmoh and advise you to go let go of your unit. We are all here to share ideas for our flats, not to lead into discussions like this....

Haven't get yet.. I'm choosing mine tml.. I'm planning to reduce the size, maybe to a super single or something. I was planning to remove the top also, maybe can install a smaller ceiling fan or something if I decide not to install aircon.. I'm not sleeping with my dad in the same room, is planning to partition a smaller room from the living room.. Don't really need a big living room cause me and my dad don't really watch from tv that much. mmoh, saw from the previous posts that you have received your keys. From your experience, if I install my idea into the bedroom, still got space for a office desk?
