I finally got my keys today! Yeah! Going to start my inspection on Sunday after I open the door.. Any special things I should look out for? The HDB pple ask me to go blk 986 then to look for the contractor if there is any defects. Are they the BSC that u guys are referring to? Wish me luck man, hope I dun find a lot of defects!

Hey guys, just wondering how u guys settle ur living room aircon (if you are going to put one). Let's say for those of us that have the 2 center unit, the living room + dining room area is pretty big and I doubt a sys3 air con can handle right? Would it be good if say I put a sys 2 in the the master bedroom + one of the bed room (Im going to hack the wall) and a sys 1 in the living room with higher horse power?

Hi all, Im planning a simple one, most prob having it inside the ROM and then maybe go somewhere for a family meal or sort. If I want to do it inside, i have to book the function room as well at ROM online? So I got to book the venue and JP for the ROM date (D-day!) that I want then file notice? Notice is filed within that 3 months from booking of date to D day? Wut happen if I din manage to get the date that I want? Venue and JP booking can change right? Will definitely get wedding bands, considering citigems! my gf likes that brand =) Haha I was thinking of 080808 only til when somebody told me its ghost month! =) I was thinking of 20082008. I just proposed and now planning ROM. Wut are the procedures that I must take and the sequence? e.g like filing, looking for solemniser, Actual day etc etc. Not too sure what's the sequence like. Read the ROM website, still confused. Wonder whether anyone can enlighten me or give me a skeleton outline of the sequence of events. Thanks!

Me haven get keys yet... my HLE got screwed up. Now got to reassess my HLE in FEb and hopefully i can get my keys by end of march. TAlked to my svc officer and she says that the OTP can extend one, not a problem. Is that the case huh? Do i need to get any written documents from her? just in case my $2,000 fly away.

I'm super duper angry with the HDB LOAN MANAGER. Firstly he was rude and mistaken me for the wrong guy. ( think there's another guy calling him too). When he finally realised he did send me the HLE, he ask me what I want from him. He say I'm unemployed for that month and I do not strong reason for job hopping from company A to company B and then back to company A. He SUGGESTS I work for another 2 months in my currrent so that I can submit my next 3 months payslip and then he will reassess again cos he doubt my job stability. Come on la, I been workign in company A for last 2 years and now I'm back and he say its considered a NEW job... blardy ****. I dun even have any outstanding loans nor do I owe banks any money. BY then, my option to purchase would have expired and now I have to talk to my customer service officer to see wut can be remedied. Now I only have 3 options. (1) Throw my $2,000 bucks away (2) Pray that my OTP can extend and then walk 2 more months then submit my 3 months payslips to that idiot. (3) Exhaust $60k of my combined CPF. Sucks man. Why is my flat so hard to get......

MissySG, I think HDB kinda inflexible as they take it that im unemployed at time of application, so most likely I will ask for reassessment of my loan ceiling. And u know wut, I called the loan manager straight today and he picked up the phone. Then he say he on leave til friday so ask me to leave him a voice mail stating my name, IC number and reason and he will get back to me when he back on leave. I almost fell off my chair. Haha. Nothing I can do. Will keep u all updated! No hurry also.. My IDs that I visited are super slow in getting back.

Thanks~! aforahma. I think the amount is so low cos at the time of application, I was unemployed cos I was switching jobs and was taking a 3 weeks break. But I send them my employment contract with the new employer but apparently they dun give a ****. So blardy stupid. MEANING that IF u want a loan, u should not switch job! How rubbish.. dunno whether can reapply for HLE or not huh?

Yoz! I got my HLE approved today, but was pretty disappointed when the max loan ceiling is only $164k, and i got to top up the balance by CPF/cash which comes up to abt $30k. Anyone can advise why my loan ceiling is so little? Me and my gf combined income ard 5k and is this the amt of loan I should be getting? Haiz, tot getting HLE approval is a happy event, now kenna drop bomb shell by HDB. Super sad man. Going to call them tomolo to seek a valid reason but thinking of asking ard first before I go appeal. Anyone can advise?

Hi peeps! I just got the option to purchase.. love the area at first sight compared to the 600 + and yung sheng area. But no luck, got ballot number 800+ so end up at Blk 989A 2nd level. Pretty worried abt those break in since we are on the 2nd floor.. anyone has any advice? Nonetheless still glad that we got that area cos its near to MRT and my parents! =) WEnt for flat selection on 15th Nov and i send in application for HLE on 22nd but til now still haven heard from HDB yet.. is it true that approval is thru notification by post? If not I'm going to call my service officer and chase them liao.. Haha hardly can contain my excitement! We are in the process of scouting ard for ID, hopefully can get our keys in Jan'08. Anyway nice to meet u guys! CAn do sports or Mj when I shift in!

I have tried the Serta skyline and Sophistication.. Costs $2,999 and $3,999 respectively. Top up $500 for bedframe and free 2 pillow and free serta sheep. Is it a good price? any one seen anything lower than this? WAs looking at Simmons as well and they just launch BACKCARE 4 model at $3,799, free 2 pillows and mattress pad. No top up for free frame though. Is it a good bargain? Is Simmons good? with all those negative ions things? REally can improve blood circulation and improve skin as well? Anyone can advise? Thanks!
