  1. No worries Shutiao06... yeah, and I know exactly what you mean by "we reali like box id's design, but now budget is a huge prob " .. It's a tough decision. Feel free to private ping me.. I can share more with you on my decision-making process.
  2. Hi shutiao06, i'm not from JW.. From sengkang actually.
  3. Hi all, as mentioned in my earlier blurb, I'd signed up with Box ID, primarily for their design and ideas... they may not be the cheapest in the market but I am assured of their quality as my friend had his apratment done by Jeremy 2 years back. My ID is also not Jeremy... they used to be a one-man show but due to expanding network, 2 new designers just got onboard. I'm working with one of the new designer and really get along very well with him... the designers in BoxID typically are true blue designers unlike those common commercial ones who are likely to create your home design out of a mould. One thing to note is you have to be slightly patient and understand they are working on very tight resource constraint since the company makes up of no more than 5 person as of now... I'm currently in the stage of 3D design confirmation.. reno work has not started yet. Since me and hubby travel a lot for work, we are also well-assured that their project manager and my ID Chong will take good care of the whole reno management. So far our experience with them had been fantastic!
  4. We had engaged Box ID recently to do up our house. Renovation had not yet started though. We decided on them primarily because of their very creative design and the trust in the quality of their final product. I was recommended by my friend who got his house done up 2 years ago by Jeremy. We went ID-shopping for a couple of months before deciding on Box ID even though our budget was blown by quite a bit. Since we would like to stay in our current house for 5 years and more, we thought it is worth the investment. The conclusion was that other IDs (esp those common names) are very sales-based and design are not creative enough. Also, the final product quality of the other IDs we approached are not up to our satisfaction... we don't get the 'designer' feel when viewing their current projects. In addition, because we are travelling quite a bit, Box ID promised they will manage our reno project fully with little for us to worry... though reno had not started and we cannot verify that till then, through our interaction with our them, we trust them to deliver the quality we expect. They are also very very patient with us as we went through many versions of changes in design and quotations. I will post some pics of my new house when it's done up beginning of April!
  5. Hi hi, we need a little help from anyone who had experience here.. we had just gotten our keys to our Compassvale EA (Blk 298A... some of you guys are our neighbours.. ) and had asked HDB to replace the faulty wall and floor tiles for us.. any idea what is the procedure like if we do not want the tiles HDB offer and would prefer to upgrade those ceramic ones to homogeneous? Can we trust HDB contractors to do a good job with the tile replacement? Any experience to share as to how we can ensure HDB contractors do a good job... at least a better job than what we see in the current state (really lousy workmanship - chipped tiles, uneven layering..)?

Looking forward to joining you all at SK... not so soon as we plan to start reno only mid next year though. But in the meantime, we'll have tonnes of questions hoping to get your help on!
