I bought a mixer tap and the contractor says that I won't have hot water. My reply was - just have no hot water option. He says there are two pipes. I also don't get it. Just have cold water regardless of how I select? I thought it's as easy as that.

I bought some Hansgrohe/Grohe taps from Germany/US for the bathroom and kitchen but my contractor says that he can't use them. Are there a different kind of specs for the taps bought overseas?
