highly recommend MGL at Lavender...their pricing is reasonable, and alot of variety of fabric to choose from the man who handle our curtain is Andrew. his service is very good. we are also recommended by our friend. he will try to understand your need and house deco, and recommend the fabric to you according to your budget and even tried to think of alternative to fit in our tight budget. our house is 5 room, we had day/night curtain for living and mbr, and additional curtain for our walk in wardrobe, total cost $1200.

thanks bluesea Actually indeed during the weekend, we were feeling extremely upset to experience this unpleasant incident in our renovation, to be fair, no one wants this matter to happen, it is unexpected.. Reckon it is understandable that after we, the house owner already handover the hse to the Reno firm in good condition, we are not expecting anything to be damaged or lost (the same scenario when Reno firm refuse to takeover the flat when HDB is still doing repair works). IMO, when items are damaged / lost, to hold the ID fully responsible is not fair as well, afterall the ID is just a project manager who is also an employee, coordinating the project & drawing a salary. so if anything that is damaged or lost in the hse, rightfully, we shd hold the Reno firm responsible. (if the Reno firm also sub-contract the projects to sub-contractors, it is up to them to pursue further with them) After understanding our anguish, our ID Zann tried her best to do a service recovery. Zann meetup with us yesterday showing sincerity in resolving the problems. We went through a "stocktake" with Zann and do a Handover of the accessories & lightings Thoroughly again, and sealing everything up tightly in layers of scotch tape to avoid any future misunderstandings. She even add on an additional lock for additional security. just hope this will help to prevent any theft...prevention is better than cure.... As for damaged parquet flooring, let's just hope the polishing will solve the problem, otherwise really dunno how? Re-doing the parquet flooring is definitely not in our plan, since we bought the premium flat becos the flooring is already done up. Actually, We must say, Zann is quite conscientious, whenever there is hiccup here and there, she will inform us asap before doing it up, and give practical advice cum design outlook. before this theft & flooring damage incident, though there are other minor hicupps and response may be slow sometimes, we know she trying her very best to resolve to have a win-win situation even though she is handling alot of projects, so far so good. Anyway, What's lost is lost, we don't wish to make things ugly causing even more unhappiness, all we hope for is a nicely renovated house which we will moved in and lived in happily, comfortably. Let's just hope with this incident, going forward, all the renovation works will go smoothly..and everyone learns to be more cautious. -

hi wishbone, share same sentimental as you....their service drop as it goes along with popularity. however, before we sign the contract, everything we request /ask example, if the design not satisfactory can we change and redraw , reply is can can no problem, change until customer satisfy. when you sign the contract already, now she say, sorry too busy my schedule very tight, no time to redraw, can you imagine ? hey, back in our mind we are thinking, this is what we are paying you for, otherwise we could have gone for contractor already !@! sighz...when arranging meetup, always tell us she is very busy very busy, no time etc....so?? we as clients already trying to suit her schedule, is this the kind of service we get after clinching the deal ?..just hope the situation can improve....really worried, if the popularity continues, does it mean it will shortfall on the clients' renovation schedule, and workmanship due to lack of supervisory????? argh~` just hope there are no more 'surprises' -

our designer is zann. we are very disappointed with the follow-up, because she always so busy, and the meeting is quite rushed...can't really be focused. after several discussion, we are going in circles and back and fro. perspective drawing was quite disappointing and no preparation of materials sample in advance for us also when we meetup. everything must ask, must ask....getting impatient and frustrated with the whle process... but as 1st timer in reno, she does give us good advices and we really appreciate it. but perhaps can improve on the follow-up, and be more pro-active, and hope she is not so busy so that more attention and efforts is put on our project. -
hihi, we faced the same scenario as you previously, we were quite impressed by their presentation and proposal and almost wanted to sign up with them, then realise they don't even have a website, no HDB license and not under RADAC in the end, we give up on them. now that we have shortlisted several ID, we realise their pricing is not that cheap afterall. you better shortlist a few more , more reputable ones....like *****, earnest, chew interior, kass design etc... advice is better don't sign up with companies which do not have HDB licence.

I been drinking the Tense up EX drink since last year....i think my skin improve after drinking and become more radiant..hehe...will continue to drink till my wedding day :> i asked my colleague's fren who is a air-stewardess to help me custom purchase from Japan, she sold me $46 per box. I CP 6 boxes from her. i know she markup $10+ per box...but i reckon this is kind of effort/service charge for her la cos the boxes of drink are very very heavy... if anyone want to give it a try, i can sell off 1 box or a few bottles for you to try. =) my email is plasterger@hotmail.com

Best Shop For Fridge & Washing Machine?
plasterger replied to plasterger's topic in Electronics & Electricals
thanks alot oh oh ! erm....is the direct motor F&P washer you initially ordered a frontloader or toploader ??? actually the SA in Best denki recommended toshiba motor washer to me....she told me toshiba is the only brand that has motor gear....but we find kinda of not convinced, so decide to come forum and ask around... thanks for sharing your knnowledge...erm...true...it may save power, but at the end of the day, if it takes a longer time, then no point, esp when we are working adults who only has the time after work or weekends to put the clothes into the machine and would expect them to finish washing before we go out or go to bed..... erm...shall take your points in consideration.....thanks ya -
I am also looking for washer and fridge... how do you actually choose washer ? i need one that can wash King size blanket and load of jeans and can wash well on those delicate cloths (which usually need to be handwash) and yet not noisy and reliable... is it true that direct motor washer is more reliable than those belt type???
