I see.....btw den just to check with you ah, will your contractor seal up the bottom part of the skirting where the timber skirting meets the tile flooring? Cause am concerned that if it ain't sealed up, next time insects or ants still can get inside leh. Hi peeps, just gotten my own flat however i realised that the area where the Timber Skirting meets the Tile Flooring is not sealed. I think all the new flats that come with the Timber Skirting is like that. My concerns is that ants or any other insects may enter thru the gap and have a nest there and i will not be able to remove them. What should i seal them with? Wood filler or chauk? How much should it cost me should i want to remove all the timber skirting and replace with tiles instead? Or am i worrying too much about the ants and insects? Please advise.

actually to me i think it boils down to budget.........for e.g. a cheapo LG with 5 yrs warranty also can last for 5 yrs else they will replace it right? Compared to euro brand with 2 yrs warranty, but CHOY! if spoil in 2.5 yrs how?

actually i think front loader does safe water....but by how much not too sure liao As for the brands, i think it is better to get euro brands for rpm of 1000 being the best. At the same time, the ablity to choose to have hot or cold water during various spin cycles also impt. However, a typical Euro Brand Front Loader with the above specs will be close to $1k (agar agar la) So for the budget concious like me i chose the LG 7.5 Front Loader. The specs i think is 1000 rpm with the ablity to chose hot and cold water for all the cycles. Best part is that time Harvery Norman having promo so i got it @ $499 and paid about $70+ for the 5 yr warranty. I think good buy la (cause i already buy liao so cannot say no good ma ) but the pricing of the front loaders is agar about $600 and above for asian makes and about 1k for euro brands. Btw, any one tot of changing the skirting of the hall area ah? how much? and if we remove it i.e. totally no skirting in the hall and walkway, got any problems tat may arise? Cause i see the timber skirting that we all have is not sealed @ the bottom thus insects may stil be able to have a nest inside.

The fridge i got is the LG 562. Outside selling now i think @ $899 after discounting the vouchers. But i got it @ $820. So for ure model as it is slightly smaller but also same series i think should be cheaper ba. Welcome sonner13! And i also got my aircon frmo gaincity liao heehee.......they were having a samsung road show so i got the Samsung System 3 NOn Invertor @ $1919 with free 5 yrs warranty, upgrade to Armaflex 1/2" insulation. I might be installing them but was told by my carpenter that the cost price is actually about $70 - $80 and unlike those told by ID of over $100. As for the swing doors, if u wan anti-slam closing.......it only like $10 each i think.....

Hi peeps, I've narrowed down my aircon selection to getting the Mitshibitshi Easy Clean Non-Invertor System 3. But now the problem lies......who to get it from? 1) All Best Cheapest of them all, however, reviews are very mixed. Kinda scared of them after reading the neg reviews on the workmanshipcustomer service and problems specially on other forums like singap*rebrides.com 2) Gain City Prices are the highest however the reviews are alright. Service depends on the sales guy and where u ask? e,g, @ Marina Sq or IMM 3) C**lServe Pricing is mid range between the 3 of them and customer service is good. But how come canot use the full name on renotalk ah? hmmm The price diff between them is about $100 - $200 after all the insulation upgrades are added. I just wan to have a good installation done without any future problems. What do u guy think? Any comments or advise? Or any other places you would recommend?

eh i haven't receive it yet leh.........will only be taking delivery in March. However did a comparision with the LG LC7 and the Sony S series, i feel the sony is better in terms of picture quality leh........... or maybe i biased i also dunno heehee
