    Hi, I like your narrow pull out drawers. They are very practical. I have 2 integrated dish-drawers from F&P as well in my kitchen. The bottom one has a different configuration and can accommodate big pots and frying pan. Both dish-drawers can operate independently. I like them too.

    The fold down mirror in the dressing table is just for make up of the face only. There is a full length mirror inside my wife's WIW.

    Hi 15May, I really like the design of your feature wall which incorporated with so much storage space. This is a very practical yet nice looking feature of your place. I am curious why didn't you engage a PE to remove the beam which I did when I removed the sliding glass doors in my own balcony. Is the middle niche an altar? The shoe racks are on the left, right?

    I faced the same feng shui problem in my master bedroom as well and there is no other place to put my wife's dressing table except the bed is facing the mirror.     Hi, please be cautioned that a mirror facing the bed is considered bad fengshui. This is because it depletes your personal energy when you need it the most: at nighttime when your body does its repair work. A mirror facing your bed is also said to bring the energy of the third party into your intimate relationship. If you don't mind, I guess it is ok.

    You will be surprised that many contractors don't refer to the latest guidelines and still think of the old way. My own contractor did not know it either until I told him about the latest guidelines. So my resale flat does have two condensing units one at master bedroom window and the second one at study room window. I believe HDB has updated this guidelines quite recently because in the past only one condensing unit is allowed.

    Some ignorant contractors may not know that a resale HDB flat can have 2 condensing units installed and give you the wrong advice.     Actually, HDB allows two air-con compressors even for a resale flat. But both compressors cannot be installed on the same wall outside of a window. So you can have one compressor outside the window of master bedroom and the second compressor installed outside of study room window. For BTO flats with air-con ledge, both compressors must be installed there.

    The original WIW looks really good and more logical than your proposed WIW. You should keep it so that you can have a King sized bed in the master bedroom as well.

    Please post your floor plan so that we can visualise your renovation better. Is it an ea? What is your floor area?

    Do take note that as there will be high stools and dining chairs at both sides of the island, your kids may accidentally knock at them when going to common bathroom in the service yard. In addition, it will not be easy for you or your wife to open and close the kitchen window if it is of casement type since the kitchen sink will be blocking windows access. But you can use sliding windows or "Bestview" window.

    Hi hwaa, the wc hole will remain as it is but an experienced plumber can use a "S" pipe to connect the new toilet bowl position to the existing wc hole. By the way, where are you going to put your dining table?
