    Hi, I'd like to ride on this discussion to understand more about the various "brands" (vendors, companies, whatever we term it :lol:) of invisible grille concept in Singapore, cos I'm also looking to install for my new house. There are:

    - LeGate

    - LeHome (seems same company as Legate?)

    - Meridian (seems same company as Legate?)

    - Invisystech

    - Invisible Grille Concept (IGC) as cited by flynnie

    - and more??

    So, which one to go for? :rolleyes:

    hi u can try chinatown market. beside chinatown OG that market- 3rd level( i can rem the name of the shop) but many sells. cheap too. :notti:

    i'm not sure what ur price range is like for "good price" :P but I've seen such rugs @ LUSH when I went there last Sat. In fact there were lots of different colors for such bling-bling rugs. you may wish to take a look over there. And I think there's some promotion going on. Can give them a call to confirm the price before making a trip down.

    Hello! First and foremost, I'd like to thank SweetPears for the recommendation of Brilliant Prints. I was oso looking for a suitable painting for my house and came by this thread.

    Though there weren't lotsa reviews in RT yet on this company, I decided to give it a shot. And voila, i just collected my canvas print (61x61cm) from Brilliant Prints last Sat!

    I'd like to say that I'm extremely satisfied customer...just like SweetPears. The end product was exactly wat i wanted! But what's a great product without excellent service? Dylan, one of the bosses, is such a friendly guy. Indeed, I'd like to second Ormix's post on his comments abt BP - responsive, fantastic service! :good:

    I had requested to Dylan to have my canvas print ready by that weekend when I oni emailed him the image last Thurs morning. Of cos, I would understand if he couldn't rush it out for me...since it's like just 2-3 days leadtime I'm giving him. BUT, Dylan surprised me by calling me on Fri that my canvas print is ready!! (OMG...did the poor guy work through the night?)

    Then I decided that I'd pick up my print at his gallery @ Genting Lane instead of courier. His office is located in a rather rundown office building but it's clearly distinctive with the main door painted in RED.

    With the 'site visit', I was able to see all the other incredible pieces of his in the gallery, some waiting for customers to pick up. It sure feels very good to be surrounded by all the very impressive canvas artwork. (If u feel dat the canvas prints look good on the website, u shud see the real thing!) There were also a few wedding potraits displayed - and it just confirmed my idea to have mine done up in canvas print rather than the usual framed up photo for my bedroom! LOL

    Dylan din just want me to pick up the completed goods and go. In fact, we had a nice chat about his business which is still young in SG. From his words, I certainly understood his rationale for the 'guarantee' statement published on his website - and it's indeed a genuine statement. Don't like, don't take. :P

    Anyway, I think I should stop here (lest it starts to look like I'm advertising for them...which i'm not, cross my heart!)...the rest of it is for you to experience by yourselves. :yamseng:

    And finally, "all talk no evidence = EMPTY talk" rite? haha!

    Hi, I have a customized TV console but the cabinet does not have enuf depth to fit in the DVD player of my Home Theatre System. :bangwall: (Bought the thingy without considering measurements!)

    So now i need to rest the player outside the cabinet, on top of the console surface. but elevating it on a rack will look nicer.

    Does anybody know where will b a good place to find a nice stand/rack for a DVD player, other than at Adelphi?

    do u hv any specific shop dat i can go to? Cos i've oredi recce dat place last wkend...so far saw 1 shop selling such alarms, but as the person at the shop was bad in explaining the product (jus couldn't get any clear information from them), i refuse to get anything fm them.

    Hi folks,

    Does anyone have a good recommendation for door access alarm? Not exactly looking for those tied up with CISCO/ADT etc..that means I don't intend to pay any monthly maintenance fees.

    Just a one-off set up...if there's a feature to link up to my mobile phone whenever the alarm goes off, that'll be fine too.

    yes! that is the model which i was quoted $1500 w/installation. sounds like u've got a better deal. I'm still thinking... as I still prefer to change the entire lockset rather than half digital with key lock..I feel it looks odd.. yes they did mention that since I'm not changing the door, I need to measure current lockset to see if the new one fit in well.. else there might be holes and additional drilling........

    i tot the other type of "add-on" digital lockset (that means the existing lockset remains) has a not-so-nice mechanism at the back of the door. Rather bulky, IMO. Of cos, the front part may oso look complicated with a reader + key hole. :unsure:

    Hi, I am currently using this for my new house. We moved in about 1 month ago. It is certainly very convenient as we do not have to bring any key with us. Just press our code and it's open. There's also two types of biometric cards and key if all fails. We don't even bother to lock the gate now.

    the samsung one i was looking at, if battery runs flat, can even be immediately charged up using a 9V batt.

    hi I've been contemplating for a few months liao, still thinking whether to replace current lockset to digital ones.

    in a recent reno show at sg expo, i saw a booth selling samsung lockset with handle (replaces entire lock system). it was $1500, not sure if it's the same one u mentioned..

    does 1.5k include installation? the IMM shop quoted me 1.28k include installation wor. Anyway, according to the SA, it'll be easier to install on a brand new door, than a door wif existing lockset due to the need to remove the existing parts and patch the gaps to fit the new lockset.

    I believe that most "Wu Jin" shops will sell.

    Theres one at textile center first floor that also sells the blum stuff... you can check out with them.. but i think.. easily 500 to 700 range for the lock.. lol..

    wife was saying actually nobody wanna rob you want.. then you go install such an expensive and sophisticated lock.. ppl really think we rich..

    The one I'm looking at is by Samsung (yes, the Korean brand famous for LCD TV :rolleyes: ). Was quoted $1280 for a system that'll replace the entire door lock system. There was also a 700+ model but that'll require the existing key-lock to still be installed. Aesthetically, it's not so nice oso.

    LOL. It's not about the Rob factor lah....more so of convenience...no need to bring with you a bunch of keys, especially when I need to still carry with me the keys to my parent's house :sport-smiley-003:. Basically it's either Pin code entry, or tapping of a small "key" (smaller than DBS internet banking security device). :good:

    Hi, is anyone using such lock system (biometric, card tapping etc) or considering to install one?

    So far I've only seen one such shop at IMM. Anywhere else that can offer a more competitive price for such locks?

    Hi, I discovered this shop by chance in Beach Road and am quite certain that I will get my dining chairs from them. The company name does not speak much of the company and design but I swear they have great and reasonable priced chairs. Best thing is...chairs are their main focus. Visit their site at www.comfortfurniture.com.sg

    They have a lot of 'barcelona', 'kartell' designs kinda chairs. Read between the lines :notti:

    hi ilmare612, i was unable to locate Comfort Interior Design at Rochor Center Level 1 last weekend (cos on their website, it's stated there's 1 outlet at Rochor Center). Instead I found this particular furniture shop at level 2 going by the name of No. 1 something. Do you know if it's the same?
