Just bought a Sensa 5 from KL 2 days ago. RM580. JB should be about the same.
-
Coolserve service and installation quality is first class. Gain City can also be good but not as consistent.
-
Try KDK or Europace.
-
Should be around $1,200.

Top Loading Washing Machine With Vertical Spin
paddie replied to mok's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Thomson, Brandt and Electrolux make such machines, but they tend to have smaller capacities than normal front loaders and are quite expensive. Had one before, very quiet but hard to load and the drum gets mouldy easily. -
Ikea lamps have standard bulb fittings so you can choose any kind of bulb to use with them. Even for the halogen ones, these days you can get LED replacement bulbs which are much more energy saving. Durability is not an issue, never had an Ikea lamp spoil on me before and I have used many for several years.

Beware Of Made In Japan Mitsubishi Fridges!
paddie replied to radioteletype's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Sounds like you spoke to a Panasonic salesman. Do you know that every single salesperson in Courts and Best Denki is actually atached to a brand? You really cannot believe their 'recommendations'. Sometimes I just browse there and if I look at a certain product, the salesperson will come over and try all ways and means to make me switch to 'his' brand. Of course he will never admit he is promoting that brand but you can easily tell. For example Mitsubishi, Electrolux and Sharp seldom put salespeople in these stores, which is why the staff will never recommend them. Europace always has their own people promoting the fans at Best Denki, no matter what brand fan you look at, they will come over and say no good, try this one instead etc. If you insist on buying say a KDK fan you see their face turn black. -
Would recommend you stick to well known brands for best quality and reliability especially for aircon.

Umm, Strange Question On Water Heater Switch..?
paddie replied to Gymrat76's topic in Electronics & Electricals
I suggest having 1 switch positioned just outside the MBR. It will be convenient for all and also it will be easy to check if the heater is on or not. -
Confirm KDK is best for performance, low noise and reliability. Even looks are subjective, I find the Fanco fans very over styled and prefer the clean design of KDK fans.

Panasonic has an inverter model with steaming for around $500. Don't know the model number but the door opens downwards instead of sideways like most other microwaves.

Very Bad Experiece With Excellence Home Gallery
paddie replied to hsannaung's topic in Home Furnishings
As a long time member of Renotalk I am extremely disappointed to see these things happening here. I have always received great advice and learned a lot from the discussions, but if fake posts that wrongly malign certain companies start to crop up, then that completely devalues this forum. Shame on you who are doing it. Still make so much noise and lie outright! -
Where To Go For Good Quality Furniture At Affordable Prices?
paddie replied to milesandcoltrane's topic in Home Furnishings
Try the Star Furniture group which has a few brands under them, Zen Tradition, Mondi Lifestyle etc. So far the quality is fine and the customer service very good, no horror stories like those from many other furniture retailers. By the way, not all Ikea furniture is low quality. Sme of the more expensive range items are pretty solid. -
Forget about blade less fans if you want something quiet. The traditional round standing fans are still by far the most efficient and quiet. Next would be box fans, which are still better than tower fans. Tower fans are quite noisy though not as bad as blade less, and cleaning is indeed a problem.

I highly recommend Dama Enterprise. Good prices and excellent service. www.dama.com.sg

Lights For Toilet/bathroom: Warm Or Daylight?
paddie replied to Erwinong's topic in Electronics & Electricals
For bathrooms I would recommend cool white PLCs, which are 4000K. -
1400rpm is only the maximum spin speed. It is not an indication by any means of how fast or clean the wash cycle is.

Sharp has a fridge which can be opened from both sides. I think not all fridge doors can be reversed. Those with controls on the door itself definitely cannot be switched.

Coolserve is a very good and reliable company. Their customer service is first class. I highly recommend them. You can also try Aron who is on these forums, also great service and extremely competitive prices.

Can Someone Recommend Me A Good Vacuum Cleaner?
paddie replied to autobrakes3's topic in Electronics & Electricals
For animal fur, using a bagged vacuum cleaner is more effective than the bagless kind. Also look for one with HEPA filter. -
Anybody Has Information On Diffuser, Humidifier, Air Purifier
paddie replied to Drexter's topic in Electronics & Electricals
What is diffuser? For air purifier Sharp Plasmacluster is very good. Humidifier only needed if you always sleep in aircon room and your skin is dry. -
I have seen such sockets at Mustafa. But they do not look that nice to me.

The Dyson fans are very noisy on anything but low speed. Too expensive for the performance.
