  1. Collecting keys next week so will finalise the details with him for a final quote.
  2. I went to look up linear space, and i gotta say im vvv pleased with the experience. Marc is a genuine down to earth nice guy, who tries his best really to listen to your requests and think abt ur designs. Its not those id firms that sales ppl attend to u, n then the deisgn team whom u dun meet plans ur hse. I also like the point that he uses some rather not often used items rather than standard laminate for feature wall. He also asks for your budget and tries his best to fit it within that, something which i dun get from other ID, who would say i put it in as a option, if u dun want u can take it out. N then u end up taking them out, but u add in the things u want(which u told them, but they forgot or didnt do accordingly), n it adds up back to the same cost, n tell u all soughts of excuses. He is also very honest, cuz for the rest of the ID i visit, all told me cement screeding is as expensive as tiles because of workmanship n epoxy paint, but with Marc it different (I save a good 35%-40% on this). Also, on the 2nd meeting, he showed me 2 3d drawings, even without me asking for it. Others i met are more interested to talk abt the quote n price n when can confirm, and say design we can change n improve after we sign on the dotted line. He also willing to do some work FOC, which i will not go into, wait he say i spoil his mkt lol. Ultimately, i like marc alot and this is wat i look for in terms of service. Its not just a pleasant service, but i get an experience. I also like his personality style, and that gives me confidence to know this guy will take the extra mile for me, and help me make sure everything goes well. N of course his designs are really gd, not just gd in a sense of nice looking, but he captured wat we were looking for(Imagine we went to see him without a theme, n we didnt noe how to tell him in words wat we like). Also, most importantly, his pricing is very competitive. Its not the cheapest i got, but its most valued for $$$. For wat he quoted n included($24k for a 5rm), its really very very hard to refuse, considering that other i got was 27k and above for similar or lesser items. The cheaper one was also Gplan, which i also enjoyed talking to, but i guess Marc won me over with his designs as well. Marc if u r reading this, U BETTER GIVE ME A FURTHER DISCOUNT!!! LOL
  3. Im also thinking of epoxy poainting my toilet walls, but i read that with contact with water regularly, the paint will peel off. Any forumers can share their experiences?
  4. they have another arm called intent pte ltd. Their design are v cool and quirky, alot of customised carpentry as well. From wat i gather, prepare for a very expensive quote
  5. To me knowledge, its all based on FROM THE DATE OF APPLICATION. That means the date u actually went to apply for the flat, ie the day u cheong to apply online and pay $10, and not the date of booking the flat. Thats why i had some problems with my ahg. The 2 yr of continous employment and avg gross mthly income <4k is based on the last 24 mths from the day u apply online for the flat... NOT THE DAY U BOOK THE FLAT AND PLACE OPTION FEES. Once the grant is approved and credited into ur cpf, then it pretty much end of story. They cant stop u from changing jobs until the flat is ready rite???!
  6. From wat i remember reading on the AHG letter, it states need to be in continuous emplyment for 2 yrs, and mthly gross salary for <4k. They did mentioned that bonus is not included
  7. Not v sure, but i went to check at best denki when i pass by the other day, n the avr i bought was 1k when i got it from kec for 739... Patrick is v nice, if u can bring down ur floorplan, he can help u plan too
  8. Can send me the contact of the parquet contractor???
  9. KEC, look for patrick... nice fellow, got my hts from him.
  10. Got a quote which i find is very cheap alr. 19k for my 5rm flat, 111sqm Pebble stone floyer area Homo tiles for living/dining room and kitchen Parquet for 3 bedrm 14ft kitchen cabinet False ceiling for half of my living rm Glass swing door at kitchen Glass swing door at both toilets Partition for walk in wd in mbr (will buy the poles system at ikea, as he also recommended it cheaper n sturdy enuf) partition with wood panel **** room for study area Overlay mbr wall n floor tiles relocate toilet bowl and install wash basin Paint chemical wash hauglage Platform in mbr No feature walls, as we find its too expensive and once the design is out, it can be an eyesore.
  11. Hi, anyone got any experience with alan neo from Gplan? Also, can pm me kelvin no? I getting keys start of next yr. thanks
  12. i got a quote from gain city. Mitsubishi invertor, compressor is 30k btu, then 3X 9k units for 3 rooms, and a 22k unit for the living area. Cost is $3.4k. is it cheap? TO be honest, im a noob when it comes to air con, onli noe when hot must on aircon onli lol. I wont be using more than 2 at 1 go, and in fact seldom would i even use 2 at a go. I looking at the invertor cuz i've been told it help you save up to 40% consumption bill. Is that right?
  13. hello, my first post here... I also gg to get my keys in abt 1-2mth time, just got flat at 276 jurong west, standard 5rm. I went to imm yest n saw a few id, n most quote me in the region of 25k-30k, they said its abt that region. They told me their tiles r quality n all lah, n say price is $6 onwards blah blah, one even told me if i want parquet flooring, its more ex. Then there was one that was v gd. I saw his portfolio, n even tho its not v stylish, the designs look v comfortable on the eye, n gives u gd feel of home. Cuz my wife n i dont realli want the hse to look too much like a showroom, n lose the cosy home feel. He is abit the ah beng style, but v nice and honest guy. He even told me tiles wise he let me go choose my own, n parquet he say is onli abit more than laminated flooring, n cheaper than homo. Also in terms of costwise, its the most competitive, and in fact he told us something if we ask him do will be more ex, so he rather we go get ourselves at certain places. Even told us where to get from. So next week shld be gg to see him again to see wat he actually designed, and he was the first who offered to bring us to view his work at some sites. He never stress on asking us our budget, never put pressure to know how much he can make from us. Of the other 2 i saw, 1 was very frenly n listens but price is 25k onwards. There is this other lady who from the start just tell us wat she will do, wat she had done n all, n nv really ask wat we want. N still come up to 25-30k, n refused to draw anything until we sign on. So i told her fly kite lol The curious thing r those packages i saw like 13,888 onli, but they cover the basic things like homo flooring for dining n living rm, laminated flooring for 3 rm, kitchen cabinet, false ceiling for living rm as well as tv console n all. I prefer to start simple, then from there i add on n see how it affects my cost/budget. Rather than they plan everything out, then u wanna cut this n that, they will pyscho you not to, n tell you price not much dif.
