hihi, am glad to see that there are people considering and signed up with R&R. I was also approached by R&R during their expo exhibition last mth. I was abit skeptical after reading from this forum abt them. But their design is really gd, and we really like it. Now still waiting for other ID to get back to us and decide from there. But with more people signing up with them, i am feeling more at ease.

Hey guys, wld like to share my experience with Kelvin. After reading all the raves abt him, I gave him a call and sent him my floorplan. 2 weeks later, no news frm him, so I send him a sms. He called back the next day, apologising for calling me so late. When i asked him abt the design, he said he havnt even looked at my floorplan! but explained that cos he v busy, blah blah. Then he said if my other shortlisted ID hav gotten back to me, I can also go ahead with them, dun hav to wait for me. This came across to me that he isnt interested in taking up my flat at all. Anyway, he added that he can bring me to see some of the units done by him. So we agreed on the date, and he said will confirm with me again. Comes the day, nothing from him, no calls, no sms. I was so pissed off. I mean, even if he or the owner could not make it, he should at least have the courtesy to inform me that its been cancelled or postpone to some other day. But instead, he jus MIA. so much so for being responsible. Anyway, we have already drop him from our list. Din want to risk our reno being done by someone so irresponsible.

ya, was abit worried when he told us that. but he said that is his common practice and even told us to go ask those ppl whom he did the reno for. but hor, 50 - 50% payment, abit shiong for us leh. nvm, will wait for his design and see how ba.... hehe, so funny, the way u call him "lao beng"...... btw, saw ur blog....... nicely done..... i like the waist height iron top....... great idea.....

Hihi, can i check with you guys, is it true that Dave require 50% of payment b4 starting work, and the remaining 50% after completion of the carpentary??? This is what he told me.......

Hihi, new to new forum, but hav been "lurking" ard to look for gd ID. hehe After reading thrgh all the raves abt Kelvin frm GPlan, I am rather interested to get him to design for my new flat. However, as i have yet to collect my keys, n i am not in a rush to get the reno started, ie, i can wait till after CNY. So should i contact him after CNY? If so, will he still reject me cos by then, he might have already gotten other projects on hand? Or should i call him first, sort of to "book" him, then wait till after CNY to officially start discussing? Sorry, i am being abit kiasu here.
