Been awhile since i read the thread...hmm guess many have moved in or renovating at the moment..well our reno just started ...cant wait to get over and done with the reno...so tiring.. anyway again and again i have lots of queries...hope im not gettin anyone annoyed... pls advise ... Anyone installed black solid surface for kitchen?? Any probs of discolorration? anyone knows if brand matters for choosing solid surface top? kinda confused ... tot of choosing granite top but dun know if its worth it..quoted at $115/(psf or pfr) not sure which is rite another thing is i realized that we could install kitchen taps on the counter top or purchase sinks that the tap is mounted on it...i bought a sink that requires mounting of the tap on counter top and also thinking of purchasing the buit in soap dispenser which is also to be mounted on the counter top...any pros and cons to mounting to the counter tops? haiz...another thing is probs with the master bedroom toilet the door opening allowance seems to be soooo cramped....anyone could share their pics on the design of the master bedroom toilet...kinda curious how others design the master bedroom toilet im out of ideas...aside fm the design the designer gave...i would rather see the actual final product,...dun trust drawings that much...

Hi Jacky777 Thanx again and again for ur advise....i requested a quote from the designer for doing the glass door and the little wall at the side (just to get it in line- dunno wat its called) ... and it will cost abt $1100...i find it very ex and dunno if cld outsource instead...would realy love a glass door to the kitchen --- so kinda confused now..if anyone got any contact which can be done at cheaper rate pls let me know...

hi neighbours!!! collected my keys yesterday!! finally...but actually no point now...hehe..can only start work after CNY...but useful for getting measurements etc for buying stuff for hse.... for those yet to collect keys ...just to share with you the following...for those collected keys pls advise if i missed out anything..thks 1. Buy fire protection (cover structural only) - $7+ 2. Buy fire protection (personal belongings/furniture etc) $70/yr 3. collect keys 4. Buy padlock 4. Go to HDB branch (just opp hdb hub) apply for cement screed and pass them the padlock keys only. 5. Proceed to new hse to check defects (which i havent do it yet) clear junk mails under the door, check letterbox ( a lot of cables inside). thats all.... !!

Hi Jacky/neighbours do u mind sharing pfr how much is quoted for kitchen cabinet? and what is the area quoted for overlay of bathrm wall tiles, bathroom floor tiles, kitchen wall tiles and kitchen floor tiles (exposed area)? the reason im asking is i would like know how they calculate the tiles....as now im choosing tiles above the prices they initially charge. at first was $2.40 each now im choosing $3.20. as they quoted lump sum for kitchen and bathroom i dun know how they derive that lump sum...now have to pay extra as im choosing a more expensive tiles....hopefully didnt kene 'ketok'...

I know these questions abit too late coz i already confirm the ID but theres a lot of changes to the quote as we added more and more stuff and the quote is getting very very high so we need to see where we could bring down cost- anyone can advise whether ID provide 2D drawings for all the dimensions of kitchen cabinet/feature wall-shoe cabinet/ feature wall for tv BESIDES just 3D drawings? coz the ID only gave us 3D dwgs. Hehe...dun say that la...im juz all excited abt the house and want to be sure of my purchases..i went all confused when the salesperson in asia excel recommended me the domino ceramic hob from Hafele when i was abt to get gas hob...he's the sales guy so i didnt want to rely on his advice alone hence asked for opinions here... anyway i got my answers last nite from a friend working in harvey norman...and that gas would be better so i will stick to gas... btw we are collecting keys in 8 days!! congrats to other 79B's
