Ya... also exceeded my budget too... the max we willing to pay for a washing machine is less than $700... but if that machine really save water, I dun mind spend abit more... Think alot of people here buying front loader instead of top... save water?? Missysg, hehe... got conduct mahjong lesson or not?? haha... me and amoyz need one....

Is a top loader.... as for the price.... can't rem very well... think around $900.... personally I think abit expensive lor.... but she told us that it is worth it.... since it is a much quieter machine as compared to other top loader and got rebates and so many years of warranty... and a fisher and paykel is a reputable brand (haha... I also dunno that.... )

Anyone has any comments on Fisher and Paykel washing machine? Yesterday went to Best Denki, the sales lady introduced us to this Fisher and Paykel 8.5kg Smart Drive water saving Washing Machine. Think got 5 year Direct Drive motor, 5 year rust free and 2 year comprehensive warrenty plus somemore discounts and freebies.. Will kickoff my Renovation after CNY... should be able to start on Feb 15/16 , depending on the availability of the required material... anyway, my reno shd be a chop chop process....

Hi lewkw, up to now.. we are still not sure if the white insects are termites or not... Most likely is not... might be just some dust mite or others... Just make sure that u inspect your house carefully when u open yr house...

Hey irvin, think our block is in poor condition... I also took some photos on all the defects outside our unit... dun think HDB will fix it... any exterior belongs to West Coast Town Council.... thinking of sending all photo taken to Town Council and ask them to do up the our block...

Hi va|er1e, not really lor... you can submit anytime, as long as before your renovation starts... you can add on to the defect list even after you have submitted the list... but hor... they will request for another round of joint inspection with u... waste abit of time and delays....

err.. haha... too bad, I killed those insects and it shd decompose by now liao... if not, I will take a photo of it... If I can rem... the sealing feels like rubber... anyway... will go feel the sealing again next time....

ckoonyin, hmm... according to them ar... they will just patch the holes and re-polish all the timber skirting in my house lor.... dun think they will replace all lor.... hmm... for my case, so far we only find and killed 3 of them.. very tiny one and hard to detect during day time... we "caught" them on the wall near the timber skirting in living room and bedroom... just wondering.... if those insect might be dust mite....instead of white ants... how do we know if our skirting is sealed using silicon or others?? and which one is better?? We noticed that all our bedrooms... they got re-do the sealing for us.... even though we never requested that last time....
