Rooms painted and parquet laid Nice parquet skirting around the compressor board, more presentable

17/June, painting done I was puzzled that they did not lay the kitchen wall tiles fully, Derrick explained that cabinet will need to be installed directly onto the concrete which is more stable. I really like the idea of having this concealer for the glass wall hinges Toilet pipes painted
-
Yes bro, more pics taken but I was really busy to upload them! So far I would say he is OK, but the down lights work has yet started and that will be the real test. 13/June, cleaned and really for painting Master toilet again, the gain city guys made an ugly hole for water pipe coming from the compressor. Going to make them pay when they bring in the units.

Boxed false ceiling in master bedroom Feature wall console installed Noticed that this is an extension from plaster board on false ceiling, nice rounded edge Ugly wooden board concealed
-
Kitchen false ceiling where 3 angled down lights will be installed Ugly pipe boxed up finally, although I preferred the pipe to be relaid, but I gave in anyway. This space is meant for clothes hanging rails. Hopefully there will be no issue later

10/June, all false ceilings up 2 feet beam extension which is lower Ready for glass partition
-
Trunking from master bedroom to guest bedroom Electric cables laid not as satisfactory, to feed back to Jackson Master bedroom's feature wall in progress
-
Trunking for air conditioners laid, unit installation will be done another day, after painting Master bedroom's placement Guest bedroom's placement Living room's placement, all trunking is done inside guest bedroom and channeled to outside wall. Happy that no trunking will be seen in living room as proposed by Derrick

9/June, false ceiling in progress Living room's up 2 feet false ceiling after the annoying beam to glass wall partition This is the special kitchen false ceiling I was talking about, Derrick designed it to be triangular and the down lights will be shining down at some angles
-
Plastering done, finally the coarse walls are gone! Main water inlet from outside Modern looking now for a 20+ old flat The compressor will be installed here soon

7/June, pipes are up, this supply pipe is quite ugly hanging above the kitchen windows. By right it should be installed on the other side where the false ceiling will be able to cover it. Told Derrick about it. This is the water inlet for master toilet basin, there is concern of the basin placement due to small space but now the mirror have to cover half of the windows on top The tile cracks around master toilet windows rectified, although they did not reinstall the titles

You call call Sam, 93402919..

Good call! Actually the master toilet was the very first stage when my expectation was not calibrated. Now that I think it is ugly, will make a note to Derrick. I believe the tiling guys will come back for final touch up, hopefully solve by then.

Thanks! Hope the real thing matches them

2 June, gap rectified! I am quite happy with the solution, no more gap. Derrick proposed a good idea which is to cut up some bottom part of the sliding glass to accommodate this. Lets see how it works when the glass is installed. Tiles laying almost complete Master toilet entrance, tiles same with the toilet floor Common toilet entrance, tiles same with the kitchen floor Initially I was puzzled that the entrance tiles were not synced up. But I guessed master toilet entrance can't use the room floor's because it is parquet flooring, and the common toilet entrance tiles should match its wall, which is the kitchen's tile scheme.

New windows! We were quite impressed by the quality and installation so far, they managed to fabricate the windows in two days after I confirmed to go with them on Monday, today is Wednesday and all is up. This contractor was recommended by my friend as Derrick's contact was more pricey. The grills will be installed after plastering and painting. Some tile chippings seen in master toilet, to be rectified Wall plastering material

1 June, two issues cropped up The gap created for sliding window wall was not desired and not as discussed. This gap is definitely a breeding place for dirt and dead creatures. The tiles laid at the entrance stairs were changed without notice. This was because the tiles agreed were slightly smaller (600x300) than the stairs area and needed larger tiles. They went ahead with the living room tiles (600x600) without informing me. I called up Derrick and we agreed to relay better tiles. He admitted that I should be informed in advance. We will KIV this for now, need to go Balestier again. Refrigerator base Chute installed

Guest toilet tiles laid, workmanship is neater than master toilet, especially around the pipes Master toilet tiles laid

Yes bro these few days are quite tied up, but here's the update! 30 May, living room and kitchen tiles were laid Living room almost done! Kitchen tiles are nicely laid

Hi guys, both my contractor and ID too said these windows are not allowed for my master toilet, reason being that they can open and extend to the outside such that if anything falls down from top, the glass might shatter and endanger people walking down there. But mine is those old three rooms, not sure about yours

27/5 is kitchen tiling and some finishing on master toilet Kitchen starts 2 feet from the central beam, unfortunately HDB disallow hacking of that beam Kitchen carpentry base

Master toilet wall tiling on 25/5, the central wall tiles are wife's favorite

There was some design issues with the living/kitchen partition. Initially we planned to extend the living area by one foot, but Derrick realized there is a central beam of one foot height cutting across, he advised us to keep to the initial partition so that the glass wall could be built along the beam. However, I want to reduce the kitchen area so that living room is more spacious. He finally gave me this requirement and suggested building a false ceiling of 2 feet length from the beam to the glass wall. Love the unblocked light from kitchen windows Tiles were delivered, so is my 40% payment gone
