First thumb of the rules : dont be impulsive . Have a theme in mind with budget concern that is . Do a research on renotalk and singaporebrides for good id or contractors. If you are like me using hard cash to buy items and stuff, stick with the first sentence . Cheers!

Just sing along the song ... She cooks I wash , she sweeps I mop. Share and take care of things cos' it take 2 hands to clap . So what now?

Its a fasle ceiling 'cos if you see the position of my wc , it's pipe run from right all the way left . Its very unsightly and hence my id suggest building a false ceiling for it .From the pic that you see , imagine the false ceiling is only 1 or 2 inches above the ventilation window. Im standing at 1.72m , hope I don't use much of the common toilet for bathing or raise my hands too much during bathing . I dont think there is any issue regarding box up for pipes or false ceiling phoenix. Ask your contractor to confirm if you are unsure

Don't do a full boxup for pipes like what I did for a resale flat that is 20+ yr . My common toliet height is about 2.1m now . sad..... sigh Lucky mummylee dint ... clever hiak~

Installing Instant Water Heaters
Seanster replied to gumbokins's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Confused..... whatever happen can tell us in details pls? -
I guess you have good budget to spend since you are buying a 40-50 inch LCD tv. If you are going for resolution try the Sony Bravia XBR range . Mid range is Samsung, Pioneer and Mitsubishi . I wouldn't recommend Toshiba because it has gone down in quality. In my own opinion, it is better to hang on wall since you are buying that kind of size LCD tv . For the other 2, I'm not really good at them so no comments

Wah I really envy you got that rainshower set I almost got something like that at Chuan Heng but the moment when the staff told me $520 for the set , it made me turn my head away and go for the $65 shower set instead...sigh . Must work hard work hard ! Oh by the way , your white tiles for mbr toilet is my kitchen counter wall tiles . Good choice matey

Seanster replied to judy's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works

Ask 1st before taking . Unless , you want to cut a hole in a paperbag or worst your own bag and put your camera in it , lol

WIN liao! Lol, you should have consult a nutritionist instead of a plumber.

Well if you have a budget to blow then get the id to do all the renovation work. What I've done so far : - Design ,hacking ,plumbing ,tiles, carpentry .... ID take care.(By the way , ID will earn certain % commisions if he/she was to take you on a 'shopping trip' e.g lights or bathrooms accessories) . - Electrical works , plastering & painting .... I hired my own contractors. I'm using Clipsal switches for my whole house except for SCV points.Best part is no extra charge in choosing clipsal over normal switches. Total cost around $1600 - $1800.

Hi purple, if you have laminate flooring for the whole house then good luck to you Alright it's a bad joke . No worry 'cos i have laminate flooring too. Not the whole house but for my 2 bedrooms. These are the informations I like to share after searching some materials from the web. How do I clean my laminate flooring? Laminate flooring is a beautiful, low maintenance, long-lasting flooring. There are several simple steps that you can take to keep your laminate flooring clean and to ensure that you get many years of service from it. Simply dust mop or vacuum with a soft brush or wood floor accessory to keep your laminate floor clean from dust, dirt or grit. A damp cloth or mop can be used without damage to the laminate flooring panels, but do not use excessive water. Dry the floor thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth. Blot up spills or water from wet feet or footwear immediately with a clean, dry cloth, sponge, or paper towel. Do not allow excess liquid to remain on the surface of your laminate floor. Do not use soap-based detergents, abrasive cleaners, or combined “clean and shine” products on your laminate floor. Do not use steel wool or other scouring pads that may scratch laminate panels. Do not wax or polish your laminate flooring. Do not steam clean or use chemicals that may damage the laminate flooring surface. For stubborn spots or stains on laminate flooring use acetone or nail polish remover on stubborn substances such as tar, asphalt, paint, or oil. Then wipe clean with a damp cloth. How do I care for and maintain my laminate floors? While laminate floors are highly resistant to stains and abrasions, they are not indestructible. In order to maximize the durability and beauty of your laminate flooring, we recommend the following practices as part of your floor’s normal care and maintenance. Place a doormat outside the exterior entrances to collect excess moisture, sand, grit and other potentially damaging substances from being tracked onto your laminate floor. Use only colorfast and non-scratch carpeting or pads on your laminate surface. Avoid sharp or pointed objects with concentrated weight such as high heels on your laminate flooring. Use protective felt pads under furniture legs or wide castors under appliance levelers. Do not slide furniture or appliances across your laminate floor. If using a wheeled dolly to move furniture or appliances, place a clean sheet of smooth plywood or other protective layer over your laminate surface. Rearrange furniture occasionally for increased indentation resistance Do not treat or seal your laminate floor panels after they are installed. Never sand, lacquer, or refinish your laminate flooring surfaces extract from http://www.builddirect.com/Laminate-Floori...nate%20flooring Hope this is helpful! Cheers.
