Toshiba compressor made in Japan but assembled in Thailand. MS compressor made in Thailand and also assembled there. I go and ask if can get a good price if more households take the same model but bill separately.

Aircon price very competitive, diff 100~200. Better to choose one with good installation workmanship & servicing. Heard Hong Tar workmanship good. Me likely get them to install the starmex non-invertor.

G23 is good enough. Class 0 or 1 is more for safety aspect. Use class 0 for outdoor unit for safety as where the compressor may burnt and catch fire. But unlikely will happen. So class 1 is good enough for both indoor & outdoor. For 3/8 or 1/2'' insulation, 3/8 is good enough if you are not a heavy aircon user, i.e u don't see any signifcant saving if upgrade to 1/2'. If ppl ON all units at the same time, then it make sense to use invertor with 1/2' insulation.

Insulation depends on the insulation flex thickness not the Cu. Thicker Cu dia does give better efficiency as compare to a thinner ones.

G22 then your trunking very big. Tot class 0 better than 1 coz fireproof. Why don't u get a quote from Hong Tar or Allbest for comparsion.

Your Kronotex is under what series? The thickness? Mine is under engineering series, 10mm thick with a absorber fabric underneath that helps to minimize the hollow feeling. Haven't laid yet so cannot tell is if that fabric really works.

My personal thoughts Non inverter requirement Small family: Couple or + 1 kid ( 1~5 yrs old) One or two units operating for less than 12hrs/day. Aircon life span ~ 8yrs. By then aircon dies liao, upgrade to inverter when got new member + kid grow up/ Inverter requirement Bigger family : 2 ~ 4 adults + 1 or 2 kids. 2 or more units operating for >12hrs. Make more sense to use inverter.

Front load consumes higher electricity but lesser water. For top load is vice versa. I choose top load instead as energy price is shooting up and come with water saving. Samsubg WA95up and toshiba 8970 are the latest model.

U can get your contractor to fix for you. Is about 100~120 for one SCV point. Better do it before you do tiling coz will be embedded under the tiles.

Hong Tar quote does not include power point. How much exactly is the power point? I thought all HDB new flat should have aircon power point?

My feature wall designed with curved profile that he said diffcult to make. Need to use verneer coz laminate will break if bend. The feature wall costs me $ 1600. This current ID's capentry can make ~1k, the design I wanted.
