My current house built-in oven is SMEG, cost me 1k plus. Very good for baking & grilling if you're those serious in baking. I used to run part-time baking lesson at home so need a good oven. Very reliable brand, used more than >8yrs and still very power.

1) Market rate is $90~$100 per ft. Never heard of china Laminate. Most ID/contractor use Tak or Edi laminates. 2) Install of sink/tap/accessorise usually FOC. Light only $10 installation 3) >1k solid surface shld quite good. Ask for the brands as they are types in Market. 4) Kitchen backsplash , how big? Usually FOC. I guess your contractor quote u at a high side is because u only reno kitchen. They find no meat so must chop u abit.

Poh Joo usually gives 20% for all his items. Well their stuff are cheap but quality wise not very good. Their material are of lower grade but cost is reasonable.

I called same the sale leh. He quoted me $1880 for R22 refrigerant, 3/8 insulation as no point to use 1/2". Not use if he use Armaflex instead of thermaflex( a better quality type). See if u can get him to use thermaflex without paying extra. Anyway, no worry as your price for R22 is the cheapest among all. Mr Teo got a point too to use R22 as the gas is 2 times lower than R410A.

I called to check Allbest, but they quote $1880 for R22A model. You may want to confirm if they using the new R410A refrigerant since is a StarMex model. If really R410A, then your deal is super good as it comes with class 0 and 1/2' insulation. Can PM me your salesman.

Don't be smoked by your ID. No such thing. The contractor never mix the sand well with the cement during laying. The air trapped inside may weaken the tile and cause it too crack overtime. If your floor is marble/granite still ok coz the stone is hard. If is homo, then worry. My toilet floor experienced crack after >5yrs due to hollow base.
