-
actually wanted to do a door to separate the 2 area as well, but it is difficult bcoz of the circuit box, moreover, how often u think u will b opening and closing the door? mayb should save up the $$? m doing a full length wooden door frame just to differentiate the 2 area... that alone, already $450... maybe nxt time put up those drappy curtain (dunno the name, those tiny hanging streaks?)

Anybody overlaying toilet and kitchen tiles? Heard from ID that water proofing is necessary, i was thinking of otherwise, since no hacking, only using adhesive cement to overlay, any comments? Just to share, the new anti-stain homo tiles i saw cost $2.8psf, i ended up topping up and chose the $3.6psf homo tilesd coz mum likes the marble streak and the white homo tiles usually cost more...

mine is a 90sqm 4 rm. I got 10 downlights and 4 halogen lights at corner.. my ID say 12 oso can bcoz i'm not installing lightings in the living rm other than the downlights... so, i opt for 10. the rule of thumb (according to ID) is every 3 ft should have 1 downlight. i went to u-home for quote the last time as well.. Jerxxx insist that we should take their standard package than add on with the additional items we want, even though i told him i'm not keen on package.. He promised to get back but got back only 1 week later, abit blur.. i think. So, i told him i got ID liao, dun nid his service. According to wat i know, the standard homo tiles is about $2.8psf (I went to select tiles at balestier, my ID say quote is to choose from this price range), another higher level homo tiles is about $3.6psf

ermmm... me planning to get citygas heater too.. that 1 is not bulky, its installed at the kitchen piping connecting area, where those plastic covered power points are... heard its more cost saving.. i actually bought the tank heater coz i plan to install rain shower, that 1 even uglier, have to install in the kitchen, on top, somemore bulky.. planning to exchange that heater i bought with cabinet accessories. hi, try bargaining for that from ur ID.. i did that, insisting he shud throw in the aluminum sheet at the cooking area, about 90cm... didn't know thats called backsplash.. hehe.. he say it'll cost abt $200, he gave me free, bo pian... can try to bargain one... i heard the glass 1 is not worth it, too x, acrylic not lasting... most shops allow delayed delivery, dun think the fair sales do that though. i got my LCD TV before GST hike, now still with them.. hehe, allow a 1 time installation, so, if u plan to mount on wall, u must decide and get them to deliver and mount same time, charge installation if delivery and installation is done on separate trip.

Hi, for those who have already started with reno, mind telling how much u pay for haulage (pai sha)? i called the number posted in the lift and he (i think his name is Peter) and he quoted $1000 for 4 rm! The ID told me haulage needs to be arranged with that guy (that means he monopolise the mkt!!) is it true?
