I'm not sure what is the name of the tracks we used, but my hubby said the tracks are good, not the primitive type. we totally took out the metallic clothes hangar. We're using foldable clothes racks. Din like the retractable that HDB gave as it made the kitchen too small.

today our washing machine finally came in after delays and arguments. now with a washing machine and fridge, the kitchen looks much more like a kitchen. Sorry for the mess as we already shifting some things in. Doing cleaning as you can see, rags on the floor. hubby takes a lot of pride in this, as the hob and hood are black and silver, the fridge is black and silver, the washing machine is black and silver too. Credit goes to him..

i met my downstairs and next door neighbour and downstairs next door neighbour... all from balloting.. my side will all be from balloting as my block was 90% occupied and left with 6th floor and below when HDB opened to balloting.. thanks.. will print the photo and ask my hubby to DIY..

not sure what's mine exactly, but skirting of the cabinet (abt 1-2") plus the cabinet reach all the way to ceiling... 3ft seems very funny given the avg height of lady is 1.6m and guys 1.75m... that's way above the 3ft.. Not sure abt the TV points, i thought they alr come with SCV as there is logo on them. can anyone advise i'm curious too. for me i prefer to be more specific in contract but being first timer, we hav our limits in our knowledge too. my contractor did not like that we insist on being more specific than his orig quote, he felt we din trust him.. but... as a consumer, we do not have any real recourse if things go wrong so of course must be careful.

the color contrast of the sofa and cushions is very good! looks comfy..

which block are u at? cuz my mum's house at queen's close (definitely less conveniet than JM now) is like totally shielded... zero noise unless someone speeding.. and this is even with the bus stop being 3 mins walk away. but our place at jm a bit noisier... but our contractor sayd not too bad liao, the people on the 5 rm side of my blk worse.. dunno if you guys have seen thsi before, but the figure is so impressive! HDB Stats for JM having been thru reno, i'm not sure i'd give up and sell this place so easily.. esp since this is our first home since we ROMed 2 yrs ago... waited 2 yrs b4 we can afford a place, dun think will part with it that easily... today sweet hubby moved our books and some household things to new flat while i was at work.. i'd say we're 30% moved.. home sweet home..

it's actually a joy and pride to clean up ur own house. yesterday me n hubby had our first meal there... sin kee chicken rice from meiling st (near my mum's place).. then the floor was so clean after cleaning that i actually lay down on the floor to rest, although we're on low floor, there's actually quite a view... laying down you see all the units at the opposite block .. nice view too.. fellow low floor people can try.. :-)

quick question, can u guys hear the traffic during peak hours from your unit?

my id kept insisting the windows frames stain is due to HDB painting outside, iw as like wtf, dun give me excuses, the paint is obviously our colour and is stained from the inside of the frame.. think i stupid arh.
