i'm not sure u can do much about it... how much downpayment did u give them? is it recommended by ID? think it's a bad idea to go to shops recommended by ID, confirm they have a cut of the profit.. if the downpayment you put down is less than the difference of the prices in the 2 shops, and the 1st shop won't refund you the downpayment, i think you can still go ahead and buy from the 2nd one, and lose the downpayment.. cuz at the end of the day result in less spending for you.. or you can threaten them you are going to CASE.

tell me about it, those of us who have collected keys/living there now, have to face the rubbish that is uncleared everyday, complaints about malfunctioning lights in common areas such as lift lobby (at 1st floor somemore) for a month already and NOTHING has been done. My neighbour is saying HDB cleaning contractor will not take the cleanliness of the estate seriously, then I would like to ask, why are we made to pay the FULL S&C bills if NOTHING is being done, saved for some corridor spray water (which came all the way into my house by the way!!) once a month. there may be leakage of water coming into the electrical conduits from the rooftop all the way down, which is extremely dangerous, can cause fire, electrocution, etc. Pls make really a lot of noise at HDB cuz the CHina con people seem to be totall useless, this is totally not acceptable. Which block is this?

yeah i agree, i noticed some hairline cracks in my MBR toilet.. and kitchen tiles **** jialat... trap dust one!! common toilet tiles get dirty very easily... sighs...

if you're from 27B and got through balloting, it's not hard to guess which unit it is. :-)

for us, it was the 1st time we ever applied for flat. we din get a very good queue n.o, in the 400+ region, but at least we could put up top 10 choices.. haha.. eventually settled for 27B because it is kind of point block and no morning/evening sun.. :-) i think we are very lucky because it was such a on the spur decision, we didn't even have enough in our CPF at that time, but i told hubby just to go for it, you never know when they offer a good place like bt merah for balloting again... we prayed at the temple at bugis... and well the rest is history!

hey if u can see 27b, then you must be the side facing west... it's quite hot on your side in the afternoon...

buy the rods and brackets from ikea. curtains i got from giant.. you can also look at some places like john little when they have sale, should be quite cheap as they are ready made not custom made...

by the way there's a very bad mosquito problem I encountered since living here.. everyday I come home to be savaged by mosquitoes!!Hope errant contractors get fined for putting rubbish everywhere..I wrote a feedback to town council, hope they'll do their regular fogging.. it's really very bad.

Our DIY curtains done!!

i ate there today! :-) average bah but many people... quite affordable..

yay we finally got hold of the curtain rods at ikea with the brackets and thingy!! total cost of curtains + mounting accessories: abt $300. Hubby began installing one in the evening while i made dinner.. only managed to finish one for the MBR.. to be continued next wekeend! Yipee!

yay, at last it won't be one gigantic dark block at night facing my windows.. kinda ominous feeling... but also feels a bit exclusive cuz there're so few people abt now... but beginning to see pple everytime i take the lift.
