(e secluded part is between Girls Hm & Thomson Rd, at nite) 2) Essomobil petrol stn -> lor 1 market -> Philips factory -> uphill, SLF building -> turn left, along Thomson Rd -> lor 1 (CHIJ sch) -> 2wards TPY Ctl. (e secluded part is between Philips factory & SLF building, at nite) 3) lor 5 -> lor 7 -> lor 8 -> park connector -> Potong Pasir & back. (e secluded part is under Braddell Rd, e best part of dis route is over at Potong Pasir, there got jogging track & away frm vehicles' exhaust fumes, along e canal) 4) Essomobil petrol stn -> Braddell MRT stn -> TPY North -> JTC factory -> Bishan -> Bishan Park & back. Hey Alister, - a better option is 2 call ur ID, let him noe ur 'defects/wear & tear'. - regardless of got paper warranty anot, he shd arrange for rectifications. Even there is no warranty, he shd at least arrange it out of goodwill. - its not dat handover date was 'donkey' yrs ago. Laminated Flooring - urs is Supreme brand rite? - then no worry, they have warranty. - think is 10yrs or lifetime. (any1 pls clarify). - replacement is kinda easy cos e laminated flooring is bonded 2gether by 'click' system. - jus like 'tonge & groove'. Special tools is needed 2 remove e affected pcs & replace accordingly. - whether e 'foam' beneath needs 2 add/replace anot, wil then base on their justification liao. But i think, unlikely needs 2. Homogeneous Tile Flooring (1) No dust, DIY & easiest method. - fill e gap with white cement & water mixture. - do not step on dis pcs of tile & let it dry for 2 days. - or PU injection method. (2) Slightly dusty & sandy method. - tiler able 2 lift-up e loose tile using e 'suction kit'. - no new pcs of tile is needed in replacement. - if dats e case, dat means during day 1, e tiler did not apply W1 a chemical adhesive 2 bond e tile 2 e cement base. Which is not a correct way of laying tile. (3) Most dusty & sandy method. - tiler not able 2 lift-up loose tile using 'suction kit'. - tiler gota use e grinding machine 2 cut e tile thru e internal surface. A lot of dust is produce during this process. - then e smaller parts which r nearer 2 e grouting lines, wld b chisel out. - a new pcs of tile is needed in replacement. Conventional way 2 replace tile - once dis pcs of tile is taken out, dig out e loose cement & sand particles. - put in a thin layer of cement & sand mixture, level it. - then on top of it, put dry cement. - place e tile back by e 'suction kit'. Level e tile & remove e tile. Add or remove dry cement accordingly. - once base thickness is confirm, sprinkler water on2 dry cement til it seeps thru & e cement is kinda wet. - apply W1 (if hav). If dun hav, put more water, place e tile, level it. - let it dry for sometime (best is >1 day) then use white cement & water mixture fill e gap. - let it dry, do not step on e tile at least 1 day. - job done. - another easier way is 2 straight away put in quite an amount of wet white cement water mixture without sand. - put e tile dn, knock it dn & level it. - e excess white cement wil b force out thru e grout joint. - wipe away e excess. - let it dry, do not step on e tile at least 1 day. - job done. - if u anticipate dat during e process, it gona generate dust, can buy plastic sheets 2 confine e working zone. - so dat e dust wil not travel far & affect e nearby carpentry etc. aniway, i'm not a tiler, canot replace e tile for u.

Hey guys, - side-track, wana share wif u, my unlucky encounter 2day. - s some of u may noe, i'm a biker riding a big cc sports bike. - 2day my 'balls' shrunk 2 my throat, nearly buang. - during lunch time, while i was riding along a 3 lane rd, it rains suddenly & was quite heavy. - i carried on riding & intend 2 stop at e nearest petrol kiosk which i noe its abt 100m ahead. - e rd was clear with only a lorry infront in e centre lane. - e lorry brakes out of a sudden (can see frm e brake light) 4 no reason in e centre of e rd. - s i was quite a distance behind, i was able 2 slow dn & filter 2 e left. - while approaching e lorry's left side, i saw a bicycle wheel (big rim with tyre) rolling across e rd & 2wards e left side. Dropping anytime s its not rolling vertically. - it was too sudden, i was stunned. - s e rd is wet, i cant brake hard. i noe my BT020 (Bridgestone tyre model) sure 2 skid. - s e rd is wet, i dun dare 2 swirl away frm e bicycle wheel, s i got no confidence on e BT020 (Bridgestone tyre model). - WTF. e wheel then dropped exactly in front of my direction. - i hold-on my handle bar tightly, bend dn my body (like racing style). - 'bombom', i go over e bicycle wheel. - my front wheel 'jump' a fair bit, back wheel neber kana. - while landing, i hold-on e handle bar even more tightly, s my bike was wobbling. - then my bike went straight & i was slowed dn. - i turned bak & see. i only saw e lorry & e 'banquo' bicycle wheel (lying on e rd). - then i turned in2 petrol kiosk. 2 take shelter, 2 check my bike & 2 calm myself dn. - after checking, only found a 'small hole' in my front tyre. Lucky neber burst. - i was 'WALAOA, SIBEI HENG AHH', neber buang. All other parts of e bike r ok & myself is ok. - parked my bike at e kiosk, walk out 2 e rd 2 check again. e lorry was gone, e bicycle wheel was gone. - then i try 2 recall. Docs 4 claiming $$$ were being stolen! - in a 40 storey blks, lifts r divided in2 2 sections, 1 serving low-rise units, 1 serving high-rise units. - s 40 storey hdb flats r consider kinda foremost & with many SERS ppl who r elderly living in it, i think it is best 4 e authorities 2 educate them on e usage of lifts in times of emergency & wat actions 2 take. (1) such s in times wen 'crime' is takin place inside e lift while e lift is moving. (2) such s in times wen there is a 'blackout'. - During 'black-out' -> (1) Is e lifts going 2 b 'grounded' automatically with its 'emergency power supply'? Or stop half-way somewhere? (2) Does e person in e lift nid 2 activate e 'panic button / emergency button'? So dat e lift wil open at e nearest lift opening? B it emergency or normal lift opening. Older types of lifts is 2 press e alarm bell & wait 4 rescue. S technology improves, dun tel mi we r stil using e old methods which applies only 2 low-rise flats. S its not my trade, so din pay much attention 2 it. - mayb someday, i wld go ask my fnd who used 2b a lift technician. - 2day, after hearing abt e strange encounters of fellow neighbours, decided 2 'hands-on' instead. - 2day, at blk E, i waited 4 a lift which serves 1, 21-40 (high levels lifts). - lift came. i entered & pressed lev 40. - while lift is moving upwards, i pressed e button lev 40 3 more times. - subsequently, e lite on button 40 went off. e lift olso slowed dn. (Normally, it wld hoist upwards in high speed) - e lift slowed dn then it stopped at e nearest Emergency Lift Opening (between 1st & 21st sty of e high lev lifts). - e Emergency Lift Door opened. - i stepped-out of e lift 1 foot, 2 have a clearer view at e lift lobby 2b sure. - an old man was waiting 4 a lift at e opp side. (low-level lifts) He was shocked 2 see e Emergency Door opens & keeps starring at me. - somemore my hair beli e long, drug addict face. Lucky he neber faint. - i went bak in2 e lift. Pressed lev 40 again, e lift continued 2 move upwards. - dis round, i pressed another button 3 times. - e lift once again slowed dn & brought mi 2 e nearest lift opening & e lift door opened regardless it is emergency lift door anot. - going dn? same pressing of button 3 times while e lift is moving. - e lift slowed dn & stopped at e nearest lift opening, b it normal lift opening or emergency lift opening.

Fyi, my blk got 81st storey by looking at e LED panel. - i'm not mechanical trained but i noe dat e 'Emergency Lift Door' will not open under normal circumstances. - in case of Fire or Power Failure, e only lift which can b used shd b e Firemen Lift. - e Firemen Lift has separate power source. - e Emergency Lift Opening can only b open by e keyhole (master key) on e outside of e lift door opening. - inside e lift car, there is a control panel (below e buttons) which can control e movement (up & dn) of e car. But dis panel is screwed locked & master key is required. My suggestions-> (1) inform hdb service centre, tel them abt ur encounter, ask them 2 have e lifts check. (2) base on ur religion. Do some praying, at 1st, 13th & ur level at least. - i gues u mus b at 21st storey wher both sides e lift doors open.
