- e dentistry used 2b located beside lor 5 market. - met e dentist outside e clinic then found out. Was surprised he stil remembers mi. - used 2 go there few yrs bak. - so far, mi no complain. - yah. w/o fail. Think dats his 'free motel'. - his toilet is jus beside = washing bay w tap (w/o tap-head). - ever saw him go 2 his 'personal toilet' in e middle of e nite. - e highest transacted price was $580k, lowest was $412k. Hey aubrey, - base on e requirements, i est. it can b done approx. $20k by Contractor. - inclusive of electrical re-wiring & basic lightings & standard sanitary fittings & cooker hob & hod. - wif e same amt of work 2b done by ID & items 2b purchased, it wld b + min. 10%. Hey aubrey, - e quote looks reasonable 2 mi. Not too cheap not too expensive frm a ID, not Contractor. - s replied above, i felt dat ur budget of $15k is not realistic base on wat u wanted. - dun 4get to add new furnishing/fixtures etc approx <$10k. - u oleady noes wat u wan, jus dat u nid 2 ngage e Rite guy who can meet ur budget. - choice of kitchen worktop depends mainly on how often u gona cook or rather uses e kitchen. - basically granite is natural stone (tough). Solid surface is man-make fixtures consist of polymers/plastics etc (resistence level is defintely lower). Corian is 1 of e upper grade of solid surface, got warranty. - granite joint is jointed with 'marble gum'. - regardless of solid surface or granite worktop, it is sitting on e solid plywood which inturns is supported by e vertical bracing solid plys within e carpentry. It wil not break so easily. - in reality, cost price of granite & solid surface is abt e same. - who cares its China or India granite? s long s e stone is more durable than 'plastic'. - WM base can opt not 2 hav. So coincidence, was also thinking of booking that function room but was sent all over by govt pple. Called TC, they said not under their care, asked me to call HDB branch office. Called branch off, they said it's under TC. Then TC said it's RC. Checked RC no. in the web and got the above no. Jacky listed. But when called, it's the TPY CC tel and they asked me to call another no. - 62590558 but have called for the past few nights and no one picks up my calls!! Arrgghhh! By the way, there is this monthly recycling event by Tzu Chi Foundation this Sunday 12 Apr 9am-12noon at The Pavilion Blk 78A. Since I know of their event, I've been collecting all the toilet paper rolls, milk powder tins, plastic bottles that I previously just chuck away Below are the items I've lifted from their pamplets : Materials that they collect are: mineral water bottles, plastic and bottles (bottles of soft drinks, milk, yakult ,shampoo etc), metal cans & tins (biscuit boxes, milk powder tins etc), aluminium cans (soft drinks cans), paper cartons (paper boxes, egg trays, toilet paper rolls etc), paper (newspapers, mags, books, envelopes etc), old clothes,electrical appliances, metallic items (metal and stainless steel items such as pots and pan etc), and others (sch bags, leather, belts, shoes, soft toys, dry batteries, CD discs etc). So, any happenings in e neighbourhood lately? 1) paint demarcation of parking lots in mscp had been repaint & more lots r being allocated 4 season ticket holders in RED. 2) A 7-11 outlet is cuming-up below blk D. Took over frm e 'foot massage parlour' whose business is uncomparable 2 e 1 near TPY mrt stn. Saw dis 7-11 store e deco is in orange color. Kinda different. Wonder e things they sell r different anot? Any neighbours here is e 'boss'? Fyi, all 7-11 stores r under franchise scheme.

HDB Infoweb e-Sales - wen u book ur flat during e selection day, u had paid e $2k Option Fee? Frm then, there wil b a hdb sales unit officer assign 2 u. He/she wil see u thru e whole transaction process til u collect ur keys. He/she is e person u gota liase wif. - after collection of keys, there is another officer assign 2 u. He/she is e officer frm Toa Payoh Branch Office, whom u go after for any defects/complain/flat related matters. - for areas outside of flat, corridor, estate precint, it is under e charge of Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council . - in fact, e lapse period between e SERS ppl & u to take possesion of e flat is >One Year. I assume by now -> - lockset kinda 'tight'. - metal gate kinda 'rusty'. - window frames & panes kinda 'dirty'. - e tap mixers, shower heads kinda 'rusty'. - sanitary fittings kinda 'dirty'. - etc... - e fittings & fixtures shd b in good or reasonable acceptable conditions, taking in2 considering the 'dust & dirt' accumulated during dis 1 yr. Indian Foodstall at 73, left side kopitiam - lor 4? u mean blk 73, e kopitiam on e left, e stall beside e lift? - used to eat their prata wen i was young, >20yrs ago, it was gd then. - now, dunoe how izit liao. - anway, many prata shop in sg hav their 'dough' supply by e main distibutor. - end of e day, its their cutlery skill & e 'yummyness' of e fish or chicken curry. - for now, my favorite prata shops r at bugis area. Kopitiam beside temple, TPY Ctrl - dat kopitiam used 2b called 'Nasi Padang' in e 80s & early 90s. - 1 of e popular muslim food hunt in TPY. - luved e 'roti john' then. - had since change ownership & management then. - was there few wks bak, yah, e attitude of e prata shop, sucks. i experience e same, like they r e only prata shop in tpy. - e tea i had dat day tasted awful olso, e water like frm rusty pipe or e tea too blend. - did not finish it. - there is a list of approved & certified plumbers & electrician by TC. - their charges r much cheaper than external parties 1 ngage. - can refer 2 TC website or notice board at lift lobby 4 details. - u r rite. - water supply frm pub main to services duct. In e G&W service duct, there is a gas meter & a water meter. - e water meter reflects e household water usage amount & e master stop-valve regulates e water flow. Tightening or turning it clockwise wil cut-off e water supply 4 e whole unit. - water is then supply thru concealed pipings to e sanitary & plumbing appliances in e unit. - b4 e water is supply 2 e appliances, there is a stop-valve which is a metal joint with a red or grey color lever. - e purpose of dis stop-valve is 2 control e water supply in times wen e flexible hose or tap-mixer or WC cistern nid 2b replace or rather e water supply nids 2b temp. cut-off. - it is not advisable 2 remove dis stop-valve / stop-cock if any1 is replacing or modifying e original fittings. - w/o window grilles, e view is great & e feel is good. - mi olso installed window grilles 4 a sense of safety 4 my mum. In e long run, its safety 4 e kids. - 4 JM flats, e total window area is not dat huge. - if i remember correctly, was in e range of $700-$900. His unit is <5th sty & if base on my balloting period, dat unit was listed abt $90k lesser than his current purchase price. - many reasons. eg. -> -- pay $2k select unit. B4 Option To Purchase, withdraw application, fortfeit $2k. Unit therefore wil b released at e nex Balloting Ex. -- pay $2k select unit, signed Option To Purchase. Withdraw application (personal or financial difficulties), fortfeit 10% of purchase price + legal fees + stamp fees. Unit therefore wil b released at e nex Balloting Ex. -- e term financial means Housing Loan not approve or approved liao but later not able 2 service e installements if sign loan. 'Housing Loan Eligibilty' frm hdb only implemented after e B.E. Ex. Now, no matter hdb or bank loan, gota get Offer Letter 1st then can execute 'Option To Purchase'. -- e term personal means Couple (husband & wife 2b) balloted & selected unit under Fiance Scheme but later e couple split up b4 ROM. -- if after ROM & wana divorce, for chinese they had 2 retain e flat & sell it off only after their divorce in 3 yrs time. For muslim, there is another set of law, kinda different frm chinese. -- if ROM liao but havnt customary, can opt for Annulment.
